Some interesting info I know about the Ninjago summer sets:

    -Main villains are black skeletons

    - The ninjas are trapped into a board game like Dungeons and Dragons

-Every set can connect to make a big Dungeon

-Sets will contain cards like in DnD

-There are at least three more sets coming

-More western inspired, less asian and less focus on tehnological vehicles but instead on magical ones

    -Cole focus

-Creatures like Beholders appear in the sets(not 100% sure about this one)

Yes, this is shaping up to be the perfect subtheme. Shaking things up with Dangerbuff at the forefront

The skeletons are very different from the skulkins because they use new armor pieces, the Skull sorcerer uses a new skull head mould.

Guess it's not Clouse then, Shame

I hope it’ll be the case that the sets can be put together like Heroica. (Too young to know OE.) I’m not optimistic, though - maybe ‘Journey to the Dungeon’ and ‘Dungeon’ can combine, but the rest all sound like standard overbuild vehicles and animals. Unless they have side builds? Actually that’d be great - remember the TLBM sets with side builds that combined to form a power plant? Imagine if we got something similar with every set containing a chunk of board that can be added to the Dungeon set. Jeez if they did that I actually might buy every set in the line for the first time since Skybound.

I could see that given the lower than usual 6 regular sets in this wave, literally everything we hear about this wave is tempting me more and more to buy the lot of them and we don't even have pictures yet

  3. Power Min-wait wrong discussion.

It's hard for me as while I much prefer steampunk vehicles and corny monsters  from MF the idea of transforming regular City hallmarks into freaky possessed freaks of nature is SO appealing to me (also Skelly-Fuego) So I'd probably say the both have their place, (A cop-out answer, I know) though I would 100% prefer if these themes were switched around. Nowadays EVERY. SINGLE. ORIGINAL. THEME. is set in bustling, modernized, regular city. Sure Friends is slightly more vibrant and Ninjago has more asian architecture but they all are functionally the same so a theme like MF would provide a breath of fresh air today and Hidden Side was back in 2012 would feel a lot more unique

  4. I'm not AS opposed to where this film was going, I understand that morals have their place in kids media BUT this one seems to have no relation to the brand or product unlike the other 4 so would have probably wound up being a generic animated film with a ABS coat of paint (Plus it would star fleshies, yuck)

As for the fate of the the WB characters I'd assume that they revert to LEGO given how their used in their theme parks and website, if not they still would likely have the Ninjago crew and Benny to fall back on as they were LEGO characters first

I don't own any previous editions of the minifigure visual histories, so this might be worth picking up, though I personally would have preferred a Vibrant Coral variant - you know, really tie together the history by combining one of the oldest minifigures with the newest color.

I feel that would be too close to Lenny's suit, now a Teal Spacepeep however...

Well, I certainly didn't see that coming... :oh3: ...paging @danth & @Renny The Spaceman...

To be honest I sorta did, and this may only be the beginning...

Cast your mind back to the far off time of late December 2018, TLM2 sets are released into the wild and what set is on backorder worldwide

    Space Squad

TLM2 flops at the box office and it's sets are warming shelves Argos  (a huge UK catalog store chain) is  putting them on clearance desperately trying to get rid of these sets to a ludicrous degree (I.E The Sparkle Spa for £24 and the Introducing Queen Watevra for a fiver) what's the one set they're not reducing or putting on clearance?

    Space Squad

What's the one set my local Asda's and Tesco's are restocking

    Space. Squad.

Now whilst I know this is extremely anecdotal evidence with this and the Orange Spacepeep AND the blue space helmet in the Ninjago market set it's at least looks like a possibility that the Space Squad sells well enough to, if not get a new Space theme, enough to entice LEGO to let them invade others

No. It belongs to Sony. But they have an agreement with Disney, but that is just for Tom Holland's version and for the MCU only (live-action)

That's why Sony was able to made Into the Spiderverse, which Disney has nothing to do with

Right, my question still stands though the LEGO Movies still don't have access to that, unless there's some relationship between Sony and Universal

I just wanna know how Universal gonna approach a reboot animation-wise as so to differ from WB's take on such. That's gotta be a tough act to follow.

I was just thinking of that, any other take is at an immediate disadvantage

    Spiderman LEGO Movie...

    Dude I can see that

    Isn't that a disney IP?

I’m pretty sure this means The LEGO Movie franchise will be rebooted.

Shame, given how intertwined Batman and The LEGO Movie's original leads have become with the brand I wonder if this is gonna be a good idea

i hadn't picked up on that, but you're right! these also all would mix well with the 2011 mandos, I think, though the difference in printing detail might be a little offputting.

Depressingly low, as much as I want him and even more so

      Reveal hidden contents

I would say pretty low to none. At least from the series. We could see more in TROS possibly or maybe through other shows or movies in the future. I don’t see a set fitting that scene and that character played such a small part

Shame, maybe in an advent calendar or something
