    My new MOC: Modular Building

Well here it is. It's a two story. Not yet decorated, No interior. I know what it is going to be when it's finished. Any guesses? The exterior: The First Floor: The Second Floor: Getting ready to decorate the interior. Stay tuned for updates.

    My new MOC: Modular Building

Thank You, Those are actually pieces from a few old Aquanauts sets. After building the Grand Emporium I realized that something seriously is missing from it and the other modulars, With buildings of that size there would be some serious HVAC equipment on the rooftops and there isn't. Maybe my next project will be a line of HVAC equipment for the Modular series. They are so detailed by that is one HUGE detail I feel they are missing. Brick On ~LCM

    My new MOC: Modular Building

Tea, the prize shelf needs some work. It will definetly be changing. The drill was more of a place holder. Plus a lot of adults visit arcades and there are usually some prizes geared towards adults. It was a really fun build and may be getting another floor after my next visit to the LEGO store here for more Yellow bricks. ~LCM

    [REVIEW] 20200 MBA Kit #1

Part #3 - Build #3 The Space Fighter Step #9 Showing the "Tip" stamp and the "Step 9" tip Step #18 Step #20.6 Step #26 The Completed Space Fighter Conclusion This is a great set with multiple hours of fun thru multiple models. While aimed at Children and Teens the parts can be quite useful for AFOL's. The Interactive website adds a nice touch for today's tech-savy kids. From the Manual, "The LEGO Space Designer kit is just the start of the LEGO MBA journey! A Lego Master Builder Academy SUBSCRIPTION includes 5 more exclusive LEGO MBA kits and Design Handbooks, with each new kit and Handbook ARRIVING EVERY 2 MONTHS. Each kit will spotlight a different fan-favorite LEGO building theme." Design: 10/10 How can you not give it a 10/10? The design is great. The models are well structured and the techniques used to design them are well explained as to how and why they used them through out the instructions. Parts: 9/10 The colors (purple, silver, and Lime Green) are drool worthy but other than the one printed element, most AFOL's should have 95% of these peices in their collections already (though they may not be in those colors) Minifig: 10/10 It's the ONLY set you can get this Minifig in and the Brickbuilt Jetpack is a HUGE plus that adds playability to it. Playability: 7/10 The Helicraft in my opinion is more of a "Display Piece". The Rocket would have been an excellent play piece in the 50's thru early 70's when kids dreamed of being Buck Rodgers, though I can still see kids running across the room yelling ZOOM ZOOM!! before throwing crashing it into a wall. The Space Fighter with it's moving wings I see kids getting the most actual playtime out of. Price: 5/10 178 parts for $29.99. That's just under 17 cents per part. However, if you get the full subscription it comes to $99.99 and a total piece count of 1125. That comes to a much more justifiable price of just over $0.08 cents per piece. Overall: 41/50 It's a fun kit and the eventual inclusion of future kits makes the overall price much more bearable. The Online portion give an extra added element of fun (and promises more techniques and alternate models). The only issue I found is that some elements of the MBA website are still not functional as of the writing of this review. Kits #1-3 are Level 1 kits and Kit #2 will feature Microbuilding Techniques, while Kit #3 will focus on Robot Design. With Kit #4 you will graduate to Level 2 of the Academy and will recieve with Kit #4 a new Yellow MBA Level 2 Minifig. Kit #4 will focus on Flight Design. Kit #5 will go on to teach you how to create creatures. The "Final" kit for now is #6 and will focus on Automobile Design. I hope you have enjoyed my review and feel free to comment and critique. If you would like any specific images (other than that of my MBA website code) simply ask and I will do my best to get them up. ~LCM

    My new MOC: Modular Building

I was wondering if someone would guess that. It does have a McDonald's feel to it. But that's not it. Here' it is next to the Grand Emporium. Still need some stickers printed up and placed. But here we go with the Master Arcade. The Ticket/Prize Booth Some Games on the First Floor The Token Changer & Phone Booth I've revamped my previous Driving simulator for the new Modular Arcade. New to the this Arcade is a Computer Station for Online Gaming and visiting EuroBricks.com as well as an area for Card Games. and the Hottest game in all the City Brick Brick Revolution. (This will be getting some stickers as well) and with all those electronics of course you have to have a Heavy-Duty cooling system on the roof, as well as a satellite. Thanks for viewing and feel free to leave comments and suggestions. ~LCM
  10. My entry: Theme: City/Paradisa Minifig: Ice Skater All she ever dreamed of was being a professional ice skater, Now if it only got cold in the tropics. The Ice Skater would be sitting on the log, her skates in the sand to her right, gazing out over the ocean.

    [REVIEW] 20200 MBA Kit #1

Thanks, I posted in the RA thread. As far as Special Themes, I thought that since the 6 kits would be all different and the main theme is advanced building it would be appropriate to be there.

    The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy

I would like to do this. I have a lot of Castle sets from the 90's that I've noticed do not have reviews here and I am also working on a review of the MBA Kit #1. Would love the chance to learn more and improve my review skills. ~LCM

    [Review] 2538

I apologize for the quality of the review. This is my first review! I plan on doing a few more as I've noticed many of the 90's Castle sets I have haven't been reviewed. Set#: 2538 Name: Fright Knights Fire-Cart (My Packaging says Crossbow Flamer) Theme: Castle Release: 1998 via Shell Gas Stations Pieces: 20 Minifigs: 1 MSRP: Free with 8 gallon fillup or $2.50 without if I remember correctly. One of 10 sets available in the summer of 1998 from Shell Service Stations. Here's the 20 pieces: Here's our Minifig: A Quick 7 Step Build. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Verdict Playability: 7/10 Hey It Rolls and the lid comes off the barrell Design: 6/10 It's cool for a small freight knights set. Price: 10/10 Can't beat free with a fill up. Evern if gas was $1.29 a gallon then. Overall: 7.5/10 Fun quick build that looks great in a Freight Knights layout.

    MOC: The Last Sentry

Was looking at pictures of castle ruins on Google images and was inspired to build this: The castle fell long ago but one sentry remains guarding the ruins of the once great kingdom.

Stack of Newspapers. Gave me some thought and so I came up with this for you. You'd use white and of course a newspaper on top but it gives you an idea, It's 1x1 Flat tiles with a center peg stacked and each one rotated just a bit.

    Fun with the Grand Emporium

I likely will. The first floor is womderfully detailed, ?The second and third floor seem like they said ok, what can we throw in here. What's with the bin with the blue and yellow balls. Kinda odd.

    Fun with the Grand Emporium

So I finished building my newest Lego store pick-up The Grand Emporium. I decided to have some fun with it. Here's a fun little scene: I think the Skater is playing his music just a bit to loud. This got me to thinking. I love Picture Searches, so I've decided I am going to take a picture of the exterior of the Grand Emporium. Then I am going to make 20 to 25 changes on the exterior and take another picture. I will then post both pictures here and see who can find the most differences. How does that sound? ~LCM
