It’s been said before but it’s worth repeating, the LOTR theme would be a perfect fit for Dioramas. So many iconic scenes to choose from. And far more accessible price wise.

My set's supposed to arrive this evening. We'll see. I'm not sure why they gave some of the minifigs [? Elrond & Frodo] the ability to sit down on a chair if they weren't going to give the chairs the ability to accommodate same. Seems a bit odd tbh. But as you say, an easy fix.

Could you replace the 2 x 2 tile with a 2 x 2 plate. Would the minifigs be able to sit fixed to the chair then maybe?

I ordered midnight Sunday [UK Lego], so as soon as it became VIP available. It's now Thursday and it's still not been dispatched. Phoned Lego today and they can't tell me when it's likely to leave the warehouse. Said they've been inundated with new orders. Not sure how much of that relates to the Rivendell set. Or if it's just down to the usual issues with Lego online. They're pretty hopeless tbh.

As always, a fantastic review. The comments made towards the end of the video were a bit of a downer though. The suggestion that this is probably all we’re getting in the LOTR theme. ☹️

When logged into the Lego [UK] website, the Rivendell set is now on 'back order'. When logged out, still says 'coming soon'. So, there's that. My set purchased midnight Sunday, still not dispatched.

Just received an old style elf hairpiece for Legolas via Brickowl. Will be swapping it with the one in the new set asap. I’m too fussy for my own good. Didn’t cost that much but there weren’t too many new ones about.

Just placed my order. Two GWP. Unfortunately one is the Frodo/Gollum Brickheadz. Which I already have.

Excellent. Thanks for confirming. I'm in the UK so hopefully midnight GMT. I'm currently in the process of dismantling my Hogwarts Castle so I can free up some space. I'll need to purchase a display case for the Rivendell set too. Which will not doubt cost me at least a couple of hundred quid. Please god this is the only LOTR set on this scale for the foreseeable future. Because this one is breaking the bank. I've been a Tolkien fan for 30yrs+. I can objectively state that I think the show is abysmal. There are no aspects that render it remotely redeemable. This is a personal opinion. I acknowledge and respect that others may disagree.

I’m planning on purchasing the Rivendell set when it becomes available for VIP’s on March 5th. Does anyone know what time of day it’s likely to be available online? Just after midnight? Or some time later in the day? What’s the norm with early access? Some people would argue that RoP *is* worthless content. That’s neither ‘silly’ nor ‘childish’. It’s simply a difference of opinion.

I'm not sure that's true tbh. Hogwarts Legacy Breaks Twitch Record For Most Live Viewers Harry Potter Video Game Gets Bumper Sales Despite LGBTQ Backlash

Okay now that I've calmed down and had a really good look at this set I've a few observations. Overall, I love it. I wants it. It's mine. My own. That said, there are a few niggles. The large tree overlooking the CoE...don't like the trunk design. Hopefully I can make some readjustments. The stone table that the ring sits on in the center of the CoE. Not the best. Again, I may have to tweak it. I wish that Aragorn's outfit was modeled on the one he wore at CoE. I do like the Hobbit feet. Nice touch. Looking at the dimensions this set is longer and wider than the Hogwarts castle. But nowhere near as tall. Which is fine by me. I've been waiting a long time to expand this theme. What a welcome addition.

This is the first set in a very long time that I’ve immediately loved. It looks gorgeous. 😍 I’m so excited. I cannot wait to purchase and get it set up in a display case next to all my other LOTR Lego set displays. I have a major birthday coming up in April. Fingers crossed my family is feeling generous. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

The roof tiles not withstanding, it still doesn’t look like 6000 to me. I’m looking at my HP Castle (6020 pieces) and Diagon Alley (5544 pieces) sets and it doesn’t seem comparable. Again this is based on a blurry image. I’m sure there’s more going on than we can see.
