Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Bruh, I just noticed those pieces counts... I was so excited for the X-Men set, but 80€ for 359 pieces? That's a 4+ level of piece count. I was hoping for a detailed build, like the recent Quinjet. The Captain America set also has a terrible piece count. -

All the themes getting so many set numbers today. It's just so depressing to visit this thread -

Really glad to see so many cheaper sets. I really hope that Stitch is one of them, because I really don't like the idea of paying 100€+ (and I love Stitch so much that I would). It's great to see that Disney has finally expanded beyond the minidoll Princesses line. -

Huh, interesting. The March wave seems to get bigger and bigger. This feels like a June wave. No gimmicks of the first time is an intriguing choice. There's a lot of cheap sets fortunately. Wonder if the 18+ set is a buildable object, or perhaps a diorama? -

A Winter Jurassic wave? That had never happened. Good to see they are expanding the theme further. Why is the piece count for the second set so good tho? It's worrying how great it is. -

I think it'd be too obvious. LEGO usually uses totally random codenames. -
LEGO Ninjago 2024 Rumours and Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to THELEGOBATMAN's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yet again, I have so many questions about the next Ninjago wave. Is it based on Season 2? Are the sets canon? Why are there so many mechs? Why is there only a single location set? How did they choose which sets are for January, and which are for March? Will the Ninjas wear the same suits as in the Summer 2023 wave? Will the Imperium appear? -

What's the source on that? It's been mentioned that Sandman is brickbuilt (and I didn't see it happening any other way), but Lizard? That would look really rough. -

I doubt any MCU movie will release in 2024 if the strikes don't end before Autumn. It's hilarious that the millions of dollars studios are losing because of putting the projects on hold could be used to pay the writers and actors fairly to end the strike -

Don't worry, it will be delayed sooner or later. -

I've never bought a LEGO buildable figure or an object. This will change with Stitch. I love him too much, he's one of my favourite childhood characters (and definitely my favourite creature, along with Scrat). -

This is the best LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar they've released so far imo. Simply fantastic. The builds are all great, and the minifigures are awesome. -

I'm pretty sure this isn't a Season 2 wave. There's too many mechs and gimmicks — nine in total, compared to four other sets (two of them being dragons). Something feels off about it. I wonder if they are doing EVO, but with Dragons Rising setting and characters — whilst not being canon to the series itself. -

Yeah — TIE Interceptor, Silencer, Whisper are some of my favourite Star Wars ships, with TIE Baron at the first place. It looks incredible in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. -

In exactly five months. Or not, I think Ninjago threads don't have rules like this, someone might just make it soon. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
This sounds like the best Marvel wave since the first The Infinity Saga one in June 2021. The choices for the mechs are pretty cool, and the buildable figures sound awesome (again, the choices — they'll probably look crappy). Kinda intrigued to see Captain America and Green Goblin. The small Spider-Man sets are the same old stuff unfortunately — cars, Green Goblins, and Venoms. I think Captain America: Brave New World deserves more than one set, it sounds like an Avengers movie almost. It'll probably get delayed when they announce more MCU delays. The other three sets sound fantastic. Rocket's Warbird will be a must-buy if it's based on the movies. I really hope it's based on Vol. 3 and includes the High Evolutionary, or on Vol. 1 with buildable Groot. The X-Men Jet is also a must-buy. I really hope they include more X-Men than the ones we've already got. I also hope it's based on X-Men '97, as the minifigures from the CMF will make it even better. The No Way Home set sounds incredible too. A cheap set with Lizard? Count me in. Buildable Sandman and pure-energy (I assume) Electro are a great addition. -

The state of this theme is depressing, but at least we got a few affordable sets this year. The minifigure scale Batwing is a great set imo. Wonder if we'll get any Aquaman sets. Probably not, I guess we would've heard something by now (seeing as the set would release in October). We're probably gonna have to wait until Spring 2025 to see the theme getting revived. I hope James Gunn's DCU will do wonders for LEGO DC. -

That's a fantastic idea. It would be the first LEGO Harry Potter gimmick that I could see myself buying. There are so many beasts that they could do many waves of that. Include an exclusive minifigure in each set, and it would sell extremely well imo. -

That's a pretty good list imo. The mid-scaled ships are a great idea, and I prefer them to the helmets. (It's annoying that those are ending next year, and they still haven't done Grievous, Kylo Ren, or even a Battle Droid.) The dioramas are interesting choices, I like that they're finally expanding beyond the OG trilogy (although the Podracer one will definitely be microscale). It's a weird choice to make such an expensive set on a new series. The Mandalorian set is also a weird choice. -

Well, it depends where you buy them. There are retailers that identify the minifigures beforehand, and sell them at the regular price. I've been buying minifigures like thar since LEGO has started doing licensed series regularly.
