    Hogwarts Castle

I built my own. Only missing OotP castle. http://i.imgur.com/OySjm.jpg
  2. Does anyone have the dot codes to the Aztec Warrior and Ocean King? I felt packs for 1/2 hour at Toys R Us with no luck. Other Lego fans might have picked them all out, or I just suck at it (despite my 83% accuracy on feel test). Either way, I'd rather just try and dot code these last 2.

Harry Potter 2012 Set Ideas Thread

I'd actually agree for any series except Harry Potter. As with you, I don't know the terms of the agreement, but at this point, I don't think WB is selling many Harry Potter action figures. Star Wars has an aisle for every Toys R Us exclusively for that kind of stuff. I think we'd be safe with Harry Potter, though I doubt Star Wars could squeeze them through.

Harry Potter 2012 Set Ideas Thread

Hello, I'm terribly sorry if I'm out of line here or hijacking. If it's considered hijacking mods, just tell me and I'll remove it. I've had the idea of a Lego Minifigure Series based on Harry Potter for a long time. They're a huge money-spinner (so I think Lego would consider it) and they're a great way to enhance MOCs or collections without including misc. characters in sets (Whole teams for the Quidditch set). They also keep the Harry Potter line going for a while. With Lego CUUSOO, that's finally possible. I created this project in the hopes that the Harry Potter line could continue for quite some time without Lego losing a huge profit.

People have said it before, but I wish we could get the Lego Minifigures theme for Harry Potter. Sell all the characters that wouldn't fit in with any sets. Minifigures has been a huge money spinner at very little cost of manufacturing. Basically, it's a good investment, if it fails, it's not a severe loss like it would be if 50,000 Hogwarts castles weren't sold. If it succeeds, Profit! Plus, Harry Potter has a nice long run.

    Lego Harry Potter Minifigure Series

Yes I saw that, but I was also aiming at "what do you think of that idea" Does it make sense? Does it sound like something TLG would do?
  7. I was thinking (wishfully thinking of course) that after Deathly Hallows Part 2 hits, either WB will cancel the license or Lego will pull the theme because of "lack of interest" (I won't lose interest at least) and they'll lose money. This idea is both good because of it's financial benefits, and that fans will love it. Collectible Minifigures. Like the Series out now. If the Lego group pulled the line for the reason that without significant things in the media (waiting for the movie, the videogames) then they might lose money. That's only if they made sets that would eventually be sitting in a warehouse leftover. If they made the Minifigures, those are easy to clear out of an old warehouse. And people would really never lose interest. It would be a good opportunity to put out all the minifigures they couldn't/didn't include in the sets. Or with their outfits/uniforms we never got to use. (I've always wanted Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw uniforms) Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, Padma Patil, Ernie MacMillian, Luna Lovegood (uniform), Xenophilius Lovegood, Sprout Who else would you like to see?

The only set I've been impressed with is Diagon Alley, which I did about a month ago and which was the best thing I've built ever. So the Knight Bus redo looks worse than the original, the Forbidden Forest might be a good run for the money considering Hagrid, Voldemort, Narcissa, and blue flames being rare things, the Battle looks cool, especially because of Death Eater, Sprout, Neville, and Lupin. So yeah, it looks like after those, nothing's going to come out seeing as either WB will take license, or Lego will think people will lose interest in the theme (I never will! ). Which makes me super sad.
