    Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Durmstrang Ship would benefit if were bigger, but I like this size because it will not overshadow the Great Hall. It would look decently proportional.

The Boathouse is sold out at all the targets near me. The more popular LEGO stores around me also are sold out on the boathouse. I hope this is telling that interest is high for the "detailed" reboot!

You unlocked a memory for me. For those who are old enough: do you guys recall this? https://web.archive.org/web/20010602030646/http://harrypotter.warnerbros.com:80/web/hogwarts/sorting_hat.jsp

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Random thoughts: -Grey roofs with leaves match the Hogwarts Station from this year! -Silly worry: Will the Owlery look okay amongst the new Hogwarts Castle being the only building with snow on it? lol! -The Owlery looks to be a good size! (Tangent: The Great Hall from 2021 was too small for me. With the Owlery being this size, they have to make the new Great Hall hefty to be proportional. Hoping it will be a big size like 2018) -The roof of Hagrid's Hut in the movies doesn't really change THAT much from Movie 2 to 3. But LEGO an improvement on the roof of Hagrid's Hut from 2019. This looks MUCH better! -With both the Owlery and Boathouse having ROCKWORK. Crossing my fingers there will be a ton of rockwork for EVERY building of Hogwarts. The hard part for TLG is figuring out what to put behind all the rockwork. -Will the new Ford Anglia sit both Ron AND Harry? LOL -OOH. It'd be so neat of TLG could pull off an amazing looking Grand Staircase tower with studs on the inside to place all the collectible portraits we collect. -I have collected so many owls these past years that the Owlery is a great place for them to live! -I see a rat piece in the Owlery. Does anyone recall from the books if Peter Pettigrew ever had a scene in the Owlery? Just curious cause I love when TLG references the books.

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Trimming down the space between the two T’s in Gringotts was nerve-wracking! I think I did okay *shrug* https://i.ibb.co/cTTgt7g/072-B98-BD-3032-4699-990-E-308-A89-A24-AEC.jpg Taking the build slowly to enjoy it as long as possible. Also, having it at this stage is giving me 2011 Gringotts vibes lol!

Do you guys think a UCS Knockturn Alley/Leaky Cauldron set would warrant enough sales for LEGO to greenlight it?

You guys: my Gringotts was delivered a day early! I am the worst though: I am only going to build the exterior for now. I do not have room for the vaults. Quick question: I recall in a review the underside of the base has these indents in the corner. Mine is free of them. Did anyone else’s come without those indents? Unfortunately, I cannot find the review which had the triangle indents.

My apologies to those who gave me tips on getting to the mall early! @RODDY saying all the Star Wars fans will be out too was what scared me into buying Gringotts online. LOL But just cause I am curious if tomorrow would have played out successfully with Gringotts: I will wake up and be at the mall early anyway. I will pick up a Hogwarts Castle and Grounds for a second Vault GWP.

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

LEGO.com just updated with a "Go Back to Hogwarts with us - starting 9/1" link at the top of the page. There is a countdown. For me on the west coast of the US, that would be Thursday, 9pm. I wonder if that is when pre-orders for Gringotts will go live!

Thank you for all your help you guys! I sincerely appreciate it. I will definitely ask the store how I should approach Friday.

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

May I possibly get your guys' help with my situation? Originally I planned to take Friday, September 1 off to wait in line for Gringotts BUT with my new job, I asked if I could come in a bit later (12pm instead of my usual 11am). With stores opening at 10am, what should my plan of attack be? Do I line up at the mall at 8? Will I be in and out the door by 10:30? Will there even be a long wait for this D2C ala Star Wars and non-Harry Potter sets? I am hoping I can snag a pre-order and not worry about this at all! Thanks in advance, everyone. (Can you guys believe Gringotts will be with us in a WEEK?!)

With no Leaky Cauldron in either of the D2C sets, would you guys buy a playset-based of the pub if LEGO released one?

Even though I have the 2018 HE and the D2C Diagon Alley, I was ready to shell out money for the new HE for the station and WWW for the Owl Post shop. BUT, I just took a closer look at the Owl Post shop at Universal Orlando...and knowing how well TLG made Diagon Alley if they had the budget, I can't help but see the Owl Post shop being translated so poorly. (Definitely they were tight on money!) But I am wondering if it will bring down how pretty DA looks if I combined them.

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Oh, I hope I am wrong. With sets such as MOM being shrunken and -summarized- into a set, I wouldn’t be surprised if TLG accepted only one tower of Malfoy Manor for the set to keep it on budget. But Clone OPatra is right. There are only 6 name tags and that building doesn’t have one

Could the tower next to WWW be Malfoy Manor? https://harryalbuspotter.fandom.com/wiki/Malfoy_Manor

We would never get this, but: I would love an open world where TLG uses the actual Hogwarts sets from 2018-2020 for game play. Even if it would be barebones and open in the back, I would still adore being able to walk through it all. There are some days where I wish I could shrink for a little and explore my LEGO sets.

Oh! So there's only two then: Quidditch and Gringotts? Perfect! This local chain store Target in the states always have polybags a few months after the initial release so I'm not worried about that one. So I just have to prepare myself for the Gringotts GWP but it sounds like the big Gringotts D2C will cover it. Thank you guys so much! I didn't want to be screwed like last year where I had trouble getting one Moving Staircase GWP. :)

If it is another Great Hall set, maybe it will be a DHII version where part of it is destroyed.

This! A $1,000 would be extremely difficult for me to justify. Hopefully it never gets to this point!

    Wizarding World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I am rewatching the scene where the Ukranian Ironbelly smashed through the roof of Gringotts and realize: Gringotts is HUGE. I stupidly never really paid attention the glass dome it smashes out of that it is NOT the same dome it sits on at Universal Orlando. SO, I want both domes please, TLG!

Gringotts - WOW we are finally getting it and WOW at that price! I know $430 is steep...but I relieved they did not make it a $129 set. It might have been pretty bad. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include the entrance to DA though. Knight Bus - As a huge fan of POA: I cannot wait to see this one. I will probably hold off on it and get it down the line. Quidditch Trunk - Buildable Quidditch balls and trunk would make this set for me. Love Quidditch so much when the movies came out because John Williams' score is my life. Battle of Hogwarts - I would be more excited for this set if we were still in the old style of Hogwarts. Expecto Patronum - What if we got both a buildable Dementor AND Patronus? Dobby - I would never have bought Groot nor Yoda nor the Child because they are downright creepy. BUT like a few others here: I am getting it because we all joked about Dobby's sock for years. I will be getting it for the laughs and memories.

Count me in as one of the few who would be excited for yet another reiteration of the Knight Bus. (Although the recent one is already such a good version of the bus)
