Mitgardian Trade Mission in Mpya Stedor

The whole thing is a build up to the shisha, it's really good, the scenes are great, it looks very busy there, the cog is great too, good job

    Kaliphlin Embassy in Nocturnus

It certainly is very atmospheric and I'm sure it would be superb had your bl orders arrived on time, it's a shame but I hope that when your orders do arrive you can finish it and post it back up.

    Duc leStrange`s Valentine Ball

You've done an excellent job here, there's so many details The Duc leStrange vig is cool, aswell as the crocodile carriage, heh. The nocturnus house has turned out great, aswell as your mosaic and the whole embassy is awesome, loving the front and all those domes and arches, very traditional of Kaliphlin. Also the story, the characters, fantastic
  4. My lord and guildsmen the embassy in Konugard Mitgardia has been completed. The labourers have worked hard and have earned a well deserved rest now. Topic. C&C welcome, cheers.

I saw this on flickr and was waiting for it to come up on here. Very nice, I also love interiors and yours is great. The chandelier is very nice. Great job Also well done on editing the photos, I'll be doing that for my future mocs.
  6. Good news everyone, the Kaliphlin embassy in the Mitgardian village Konugard is nearing completion, some final touches left and then it's done, I've already comissioned an artist to capture it's likeness, the images will get to you by tomorrow evening. Basil Your moc is awesome. Scuba For your first real moc that is really cool, I didn't even notice the plates at the bottom.

    MOC: When Winter Comes

Damn, that's a sweet base, such a refreshing change from the standard square shapes and a lovely scene too, all that snow is making me cold.

    Knife-point Embassy

For this to be your first real moc from coming out of your dark ages it is brilliant. TBH I don't mind the colours, I always thought Kalphlin to be a colourful place, a melting pot of cultures. I love the details, the banner, the heads on spikes, the mushrooms, the steps and the swamp at the back, great job

Inspired by Those Who Have Gone Before

Beautiful Basil, awesome stained glass window and the smaller ones too, the lion is very well done. The tomb is very good and the whole lighting and photography is spot on I'll have to try a stained glass window sometime.

    MOC: Centurion

Eh? So few comments for such a great moc. I love the colour scheme and the use of technic pieces and tubes, the little landscape is nice too. To me this looks a bit like the Titan from Warhammer 40k. Cool

    Leodasham Manor: Aquiring Champions

Absolutely fantastic, you've done a great job with the roof, I didn't notice the hall roof but I think it looks nice and adds to the quaintness of the architecture, especially the chimney poking out. The details all around the house are great, the curved supports and that triangular window thing at the top are cool. Another great build
  12. Thanks for the comments it's the boost I need, I'm going to be building all night tonight, I'm going to rebuild it again similar to my first idea, the lodge. Thanks again. DaMaximus Nice Embassy, I really like that big arch, need to keep my eye out for those.
  13. Unfortunately I too am suffering from builder's block, I keep changing my mind about the embassy and am struggling for something original, the deadline is creeping closer and closer now. What should I do, should I just churn out something that looks alright or give it a miss? I think adding to the point count should be worth building something though, what do you guys think?

WW Category 2: 1908 Wild West Town

I voted for Sherrif's, as much as I'd love to see the Saloon done, from what has been said TLG probably wouldn't do it, however the Gunstore, I think they would, there's been a load of sets and themes with guns in, I don't see why the Gunstore couldn't/shouldn't/wouldn't be done, but I don't think it's exciting (as in playability) as the Saloon or Sherrif's. Other builds that people have suggested like a train + station and bank would be good, also a bandit's den.

    Steampunk Grand Canon

The more and more steampunk mocs I see is making me slowly drift over into the steam world from Historica, with all the new gold ninjago pieces giving me ideas it's hard to resist the temptation. I do like all the pipes and stuff and the crates are npu, I'm not bothered about whether brown is wood or copper or whatever, it's lego and it's fun. This is really good, as a tip I'd suggest making a boiler more prominent unless it's 'housed' within the structure, remember can't be steampunk without steam. Good job

WW Category 2: 1908 Wild West Town

Yeah, what I meant was with the current modular buildings lego have and other expensive sets my wallet wouldn't be able to take the strain, I'd love a new western theme as much as the next person but if these are as expensive as TLG's modulars then I think I'd have to have a good long hard think about which one to give up, for me my moods change all the time, I could be into city for a few weeks then switch over to historical/fantasy, to sci fi, etc. I have voted though, I think as a nice big layout put all together is fab.

    Llurth Dreir

I always love the sheer size of your builds and use of red in all of your mocs keeps it nice and consistant, I love the cloud around the tower, real nice touch, good job

    Tower of S'dak'l'vil'th

Lovely scene and lovely figs, I think the tower could have done with some more variation but other than that I think this is nice
  19. Hi Ska, personally I think those leaves are more suited to oak trees and stuff that would be more suited in Avalonia, for Mitgardia I imagine pine trees, built in the style of the set 10199 Winter Village Toy Shop, I personally have never tried this but would love to give it a go, with this you can build them however big you want using white plates with some green mixed in aswell, instructions. Hope this helps.

WW Category 2: 1908 Wild West Town

Wow, this is great, idk about a modular set, I think lego would do something more like the 7641 City Corner as it would be cheaper and available to more audiences rather then just T & AFOLs, but definately a Western theme is needed. I'm off to vote.
  21. Gabe Your embassy looks very promising, can't wait to see it finished. Rob Your's is coming along very nice, loving the Nocturnus house, and look forward to seeing the interior of your embassy.

    Doctor Dee's House in Abyssan

That is awesome, your mocs are always fun, the Nocturnus building has a kind of fun/mad house look to it, it's great!

    LEGO Worlds & You

I would say I'm a bit of both. With GoH I love how loads of people are in this world together and seeing all the fantastic mocs they produce, whether they are a one off or part of a collection. I also started building a steampunk world, I stopped because I went on to something else but now I'm getting the urge again, inbetween I create onesies or focus on mine and my bros city. I've never really gotten around to doing this one, It was for when I was in a mech/scifi mood, the story goes that WW2 never ended, there was a huge technological boom and Nazi Germany spread like a disease across the world, Asia in their effort to fight back against Germany combined their forces and also saw this as an opportunity to claim some land and maybe more, Russia, stubborn and trying their best to fight off the persistent attacks but the German forces overwhelming their defenses and pushing Russia back, claiming more and more land. The Allies are spread far and wide, the USA, Canada and Australia under constant attacks from sea and air whilst the battlefront in Europe slowly dwindling, desperately needing reinforcements. Will Nazi Germany succeed in their mission to take over the world, or will the Allies, Asia and Russia put their heads together and lay some smack down...(to be moced)

    About steampunk building

Medium blue looks nice as an alternative to brown, aslong as you can pull it off also nougat, tan, etc. Gold, bronze, copper for accents, the lil 2x2 gold domes are nice for small boilers for small mocs, attach them using a small axle, other useful pieces are tiles with valves and gauges on, taps, pumps (pneumatic T piece), technic steering wheels, gears, ribbed and rigid hoses, these are good for levers, normal ones will do fine and so on and so on, use your imagination, mocpages and flickr are good for steampunk inspiration, also , I'd suggest bricklink, but set yourself a limit. You've got plenty of ideas and stuff, give it and go and post it up here, see what you can come up with.

    "Big Bear"

Very nice moc, what have you used for the roof, I can't tell, it kinda looks like paper or something? It's an idea as I don't have that many roof building materials. Good job
