IMO I think this set looks quite nice, definately has to be cheaper, as mentioned possibly a simple circle with no off track. The truck looks nice too, not too sure about those wing mirrors though, look a bit naff must change those, and I may do without the train wheels on it. It seems pretty decent but I'm still undecided. Me and my bro already have 4 trains, we don't need another one.

That's looking awesome, it'll be even cooler in bricks. I really struggle coming up with good legs, is it alright to use these designs? They look really simple and effective.

I was just about to ask that, good job, the white does look a bit odd but I don't really mind it With all these buses we need a proper bus station

A mini steampunk airship I've just thrown together this evening. I wanted to make a balloon thing and so I made this. It's not really an airship as it isn't 'ship shape' haha. Got a little boiler on there powering a small propellar. Got some dials and stuff in the cockpit and a chair! I couldn't fit any levers in Some pics are a bit poor as my mum killed my lamp Anyways enjoy, C&C welcome. More pics on my Flickr and MOCpages.

I always try and keep the basic steampunk colour scheme brown, grey, gold. I do need to work on the balloon a bit more to make it more round but I was going for the blocky LEGO look rather than using those prefab parts mentioned before. I've got more pieces now to make a bigger balloon. I've managed to straighten the rigging now idk why I used that one, I guess I felt sorry for it

I keep it simple, I tend to go with a theme rather than an Idea, mess around with some pieces keeping the colour and style of that theme i.e. steampunk, brown,grey,gold, boiler, pipes, greebles, etc.

Holy Moly! That's alot of gold I really hope it turns out good. you've definately got your work cut out The only thing I'd suggest for the minifigs is using bricklink and go through each part (torso,head,etc.) to find a close enough match. Good luck

Yeah, it was pretty fidgity for me, I had to use different coloured bricks inside but the whole thing was very fiddily to make. I thought about using those pieces but I really didn't like the prefabness of it and felt that a brickbuilt one is more legoey Thanks for the comments.

Oh noes! the pitchfork is brown Because it's scifi I would have atleast liked a colour change to grey. I'm really tempted to get the smaller sets now, I really like those alien minifigs, the big ones for me are too expensive as I don't really collect space themes, but the temptation is too strong I must get some new sets!

I spotted this on mocpages and saw the lit up pics, good job what lighting did you use? I also love the plants especially that cactus and amazing work on that sign, really like the train track. Proper job!

That's a really nifty little fighter, would look awesome in a bigger moc. Still can't get away from that atlantis colour scheme . As for moc challenges made using sets, there could be loads of different ways to do this. I see where Legostein is coming from 2-3 sets is a bit much but a single set challenge would be better more challenging and one rule could be you can only leave a few parts.

That's a really sweet little bike shop look forward to seeing more. A suggestion for your city a train station might be good if you've got a train set. kind of like this old one. I think it's in the classic style you're after.

I'm neither a pirate or castle collector but find many uses for various pieces, anyways my guess is that it will fit probably a little squeeze but fit nonetheless. Try now and measure a pirate sword against a castle sword.

Just curious, where did you buy these from? were they a batch on ebay? I use bricklink for my lego fix just search for the minifigs you want or customize your own knights by buying individual pieces and accesories, beware though it's quite addictive

I'd like to make a steampunk universe but don't think I have enough money, but I'll give it a good try. Anyways in the universe there are 3 factions, pirates, freedom fighters and the oppressors. Pirates: Agressive towards everyone, even other pirates, they loot what they can and keep for themselves. Freedom Fighters: The good guys, fighting against both pirates and the oppressors. They look out for each other and work together. The Oppressors: A totalitarian government wanting to control everyone and everything, they fight against Pirates and Freedom Fighters and usually have the best stuff The Vehicle Classes and Types: Walker: biped(2 legged)/quatroped (4 legged)/octoped (8 legged) Tank: halftrack/full track/quad track Flyer: airplane/chopper/airship Any suggestions to this would be great.

Yup, just finished ordering some parts. I don't want my designs to be too unique, just clever parts usage, one idea is a derigible using a ships hull with rigging attached to a brickbuilt balloon using tan plates. It will have cannons, etc, some propellars on the back a big boiler in the middle and lots and lots of other things

I have to say the box art looks alright, I can see how this would confuse the normal kids and parents, but then normal kids and parents don't know the difference between megabloks and Lego Anyways, I myself would never buy any cheap rubbish like that, all my local stores sell Lego.
