CptMugwash replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The thing is I don't collect star wars lego but I had to be polite when the woman gave me it for FREE! but I do spend a fortune in that store I'm hanging on to it, it may be worth a few bob in a couple years -

Ok my guess, new set pics of the 3 action themes, Pharoh's Quest, Atlantis and NinjaGo due to be released for end of this year or next year? Or. Which themes get the boot? My guess Atlantis as it's been running for 2 waves now and it's getting pretty boring IMO, NinjaGo seems to be doing pretty well from what my local toyshop tells me and Pharoh's Quest maybe a big flop? I'm not too sure, but I'd really like PQ to continue.

Hi guys, quick question, the Grand Emporium set, when will it be discontinued? I don't want to leave it too late like CC and GG. I already have the FB and I'm not wanting to miss out anymore with these awesome sets. If GE is still going until next year then it's on my bday/xmas list with the new mod I'd love to get the old sets but my wallet is going dry, curse those bricklink orders

Hi LT awesome town you've got going there, how have you done your signs, I can't tell if it's sticker or paper? I really like that train crossing good job Can't wait to see it full of minifigs and vehicles

Hi guys, has anyone got a Limited Edition Collectors poster 2011? It looks like this but it's fleshies. Just wondering, there is suppose to be 50000 made. Mine is 8442/50000, the 'set' number is 004652 but when I type it in it comes up with a juniors pick up truck. I was in my local toy store and got a couple sets, the woman at the counter gave me one for free because I spend a fortune there Cheers CptMugwash -
New Adventurers Set Ideas Thread
CptMugwash replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don't think they will continue the egyptian theme anymore, I think next year it will be a different sub theme, I would like to see a jungle/aztec one, with aztec warriors and ancient artifacts etc. 'Jungle Quest' I too would like to see another airship, possibly a bigger one minus the prefab parts. -
Very nice little cottage. I made a similar house, which is in storage I must upload it when that shed is finally finished. Mine is slightly bigger on a 16x32 baseplate with a small driveway but same kinda style and colours, I was lazy and didn't put a bedroom in it, the minifig sleeps on the couch lol I used the beach house set bricks, shame it isn't available now. Lovely little house, cosy and I love the lighting, might have to give that a try sometime

shock horror. I don't think I could ever bring myself to do that, glueing paper on to Lego. Despite how much I want Logos and custom signs, etc. I'll probably splash out on some sticker paper eventually. Anyways cool van, always wanted to do a FedEx one, although I think it should be Tom Hanks castaway man doing the delivery, the caveman hair & beard would be great And, can anyone spot the arrow in the 'FedEx' logo? Some people can see it some can't.

I thought this was a bit of a coincidence as I spotted another Barracuda class ship on MOCpages here. Are these from a movie or just a coincidence? Cool ship btw Cheers CptMugwash

Tutorial: How to use Paint.NET to optimise your photos
CptMugwash replied to Legostein's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hi Legostein, thanks for bringing this up, this is exactly the kind of program i've been looking for, cheers. -
That is certainly a very effective technique, well done. Imagine a tidal wave that would be an awesome moc, I'm not being insensitive or anything I just think in lego this would be awesome, imagine boats caught in the wave half way up, bits of harbour churned up and buildings partially submerged. How did you connect it to the baseplate?
-
Ok, I guess I've got quite a few years of collecting before I mass a collection of that quantity Again excellent moc!
-
*picks jaw off ground* That is amazing, I'm gobsmacked, there's so much awesomeness in this moc. I really like how you haven't got any of the new chunky planes in there, they're far too big IMO. I love the monorail and train track, I love all the detail and effort put into this, I've seen alot of cool MOCs but this has to be the best If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much did this cost? I'm guessing there was quite a few bricklink orders. I'm just wondering to give me an idea and to see if I have enough money to attempt anything like this.
-
Yet another steampunk MOC from me, here it is a dual rotor steampunk helicopter, I figured out the two propellars worked well in size with the rowing boat. Enojy C&C Welcome. Sorry for poor pics, LOL = Lack of Lamp More pics. Flickr MOCpages

Thanks for the comments, my next steampunk moc will be a bit more refined rather then sticking things that look steampunkish here and there.
-
Very nice tree, like Decale said alot of these would look great.
-
Well done on incorporating the bank in and I'm liking the symmetry with the post office, the hideout is convenient for the robbers, they don't even need a getaway vehicle A scene with the robber being chased by the police across the rooftops would be cool. Nice
-
I really like it, love the simple look and I don't mind the plain white, good work Looking forward to phase 2.

[MOC] James Bond street vig
CptMugwash replied to Jedd the Jedi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice use of torso, I like mixing and matching. It's a shame about the Lego gun, a Brickarms silenced one would be better. Perhaps if you want to take this further a series of James Bond styled vigs would be nice, one with a sexy blond another with an aston, etc. -
Thanks, I'm still not there yet with my designs and ideas but I'm getting their, what I think my mocs are lacking is refinement but you'll see some in my next one I'm glad they remind you of a happy memory Thanks for the comments.
