Just noticed on the calendar now that all these names have appeared next to bonus.
Could these be the remainder of entries that have not yet won?
Explanations are coming from the raffle master himself later today.
(I'm just an elf.)
But as the Elf who wrote the magical calendar (which is pre-programmed with names) I would like to point out this line in the FAQ.

There are a lot of prizes... and thus it's possible that a mistake might be made. Please don't throw M&g# Bl@ks at us if we can't send exactly what we want. This is a give-away afterall.
Mistakes happen. We do our best, and we generally arrange these things last minute. I spent many hours setting up the calendar in the weekends leading up to Christmas, and I know that the Elf - Master was busy also. I am disappointed that a few members have seen this as something to get all huffy about. It's a giveaway. We don't ask for big entries, it's all meant to be a bit of fun....

So who are the minifigures in set 1?
Return of the King ship set.
-
Um... What? ( )
-
It says in the raffle rules that you're not allowed to trade minifigures... are there any other places on this website or online where I can trade in my prize for another one? (I won Prize F, and I've never liked the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.)
Yeah, we have a whole trading/selling forum. But I wouldn't bother with that kind of stuff yet.
Besides, not liking a line is no reason to not want the figs. I dislike Disney, but I bought Mickey Mouse just to be mean to...

Yep, just bots. We get this question at least once a year...
I know it's not the same kind of strange members you've been talking about, but lately (in the past 2-3 weeks or so) I've seen about 20 members randomly spring up (sometimes within minutes of reading topics) that are spamming different topics with copied posts...
If you notice this please report it. It's a spammer trick; they come back later and update the post and/or signature.

And speaking of PM's, he hasn't read mine yet. Guess he's just saving them all up until shipping time.
I know he's very busy this week.
Guys, I think you're missing my name on the Calendar page.
I'll recheck... I think there's a gap for you on day 27.

I know you have said no swapping, but would there be exceptions if two people wanted to swap. Say for example Sinner wanted to swap with me, and I was fine with that, is that allowed?
It's about extra work for CopMike. He has this all planned out and each complication is a delay and a potential confusion. He want to avoid that. So no, there are no exceptions...

This belongs in BSTF... and it's local anyway. (Amazon resticts LEGO shipping.) Moving...

Dragon space ships.... I love them. I really should finish mine. You have good design skills.

That is very nice. The story is a cool touch too!

Yay! Prize Pack B! Is there a chance you can win twice? And um I don't understand. Is the Advent Calendar just for decoration or is it another prize?
Decoration. You can't have my LEGO.
Wait.....do I win the whole set of four?
That's the way I've been reading it, but CopMike is the prize master...
Wow, 165 entries - good job guys !
To match that we need a lot of prizes, so how about six (6) winners each day - that´s 144 winners in total! So the odds are pretty good I´d say !
So what are the final prize pool then? Well ............
Prize 1 -
Prize 2 -
Prize 3 -
Prize 4 -
Prize 5 -
Prize 6 uneven days -
Prize 6 even days -
Prize 6 the 24th -
Extra prize to each winner the 24th, either one of these (We have 3 of each=one of either per winner):
You like the odds & prizes ?
THIS YEAR WE WON´T BE ABLE TO SWITCH MINIFIGS WITHIN THE PRIZE SET FOR YOU DUE TO THE LARGE AMOUNT OF PRIZES -
IF YOU WANT TO TRADE MINIFIGS YOU´LL HAVE TO DO IT YOURSELFS AFTER TO RECIEVE THEM!
I have the figs already (that´s a new approach, I know) but shipping will start in the middle of december.

Wowza, I did not expect to win anything, so thank you ever so much! :) I am not a LOTR's fan, but my Mum is, so I am giving the figure to her. :)
figures...

BTW, what time zone does EB Standard Time follow?
EDIT: Nevermind
And Sinner, you won!
It's our server time... it was last seen in Europe.
-
6 days... 36 winners so far! Are you one? Did you enter? Check the daily winners on the advent calendar, and if you're one of the lucky ones boast here!
-
and that means Copmike all by himself
You've made the magical elves who make the behind the scenes magic work cry.
-
just wanna know, did the prizes will be send after all the winners all decided, or you send the prizes every day?
CopMike will send these out in one go next year.
CopMike will send these out in one go next year.
I´ll start shipping mid-december as Lego Spy wrote, I have way to much stuff before and will be out of town a bit!
Oooops! I stand corrected!

How does CopMike or EB figure which ornament will be displayed on the calendar? Just curious.
I'm the one who "programs" the calendar. I pick the images mostly based on the first posted in topic for that prize day, but sometimes I pick another as I feel the first wouldn't work as a square... or for some other artistic reason.
-
I do not swoosh my models :P.
Why not? I do!
-
M$g* Bl@ks has Halo...
-
So the prizes each day are announced at 4:00 PM?
Midnight. EB time. Look at point one in the FAQ on the Calendar...

I love this site but would not pay for it there are other sites like YouTube that offer the same sense of community. And I dont find advertising annoying as it is a necessity to offset costs for any website.
I do for the most part think this is the general consensus of the Internet. I personally don't think it's sustainable, but that's another topic.
Also you should add zero dollars to the poll for people not interested in a pay service.
Perhaps, but I wasn't asking what you would pay, I was asking what you would consider fair... In reality the important question is the first, the second is just a bonus in case the first question indicates it's worth the effort. Even so, I added two new options.
-
I would be more willing to pay if the cost is $2-3 per month.
The problem is management. For less than $5 it's not worth the accounting time... unless it was yearly.
-
At least I suggest setting up an official EB PayPal account with a link on the frontpage so you could get donations
We have considered that actually.
-
50 bucks is way too much for just this site.....and you would lose members left, right and centre......like I wrote above five bucks a month is a fair and affordable price.
Please note I'm not talking about making everyone pay.

The "Bonus!" section I hacked in. Consider it part of day 23. (There might be some variance of the prizes, especially in regard to the Turtles. But other than that it's much the same. See the CopMike post above.)
