  1. After much thought and debate we've decided to clamp down on regular posters in the Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds forum. It seems to me that some members have joined EB to just sell there and avoid EBay fees, as opposed to what I've always seen as the purpose of the forum, which is a place for members to sell to people they trust, to discuss with the same people deals and news... Thus from now on no member will be allowed to sell or try to buy in the BSTF forum regularly. Way harsh? Yeah it is, but don't worry there's a silver lining to this rule. A new subforum has been created, called The Bazaar. (EBay was taken.) In there we're going to have a more relaxed area where buyers and sellers can go responsibly wild... if that makes any sense. Let me explain; Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds new rules LEGO only, 100 posts to create topics and new joiners can't post. Topics about general selling belong here. That is, topics like regional availability and sales. Occasional sales topics are allowed. The general rule is once a year. The idea here is you should restrict it to incredible offers; such as an Airport Monorail. Bumping sales topics is 100% banned. That is if no one posts in you aren't allowed to "reply". You are allowed to talk about the BSTF forum. The Bazaar rules Same base rules; LEGO only, 100 posts to create topics and new joiners can't post. The old rule of sales bumping is relaxed. Bumping is still discouraged, but responsible bumping is now allowed. The quasi rule of too many topics is relaxed. Be responsible. This is an AFOL forum. You should understand what responsible posting is. No posts are counted in the forum. You will never be promoted again if all you do is post in The Bazaar. No topics in the forum will appear in Active Topics or New Posts. Anyone who breaks the rules of the BSTF forum will have all their recent sales topics moved to The Bazaar and repeat offenders will be banned from selling on EB... or worse. Overall, the intention of this change is to make everyone happy. The rules as they were didn't make much sense and I generally felt stupid "enforcing" them; to avoid bumping members create multiple topics, which is probably worse. Thus we end up nagging members which nobody likes. This way it's a lot freer, yet there still is the capacity to use EB to make that once-in-a-lifetime sale and get good exposure. Now if people want to look for sales they can, and if they don't they aren't bothered by them. Everybody is happy....? This is an experiment. If it all goes bad it'll be "undone", but I'm hopefull that it'll go well. Please feel free to share any thoughts on this change. N.B. The rules in the topic were correct at the time of posting. I won't be maintaining this topic long term. Anyone who quotes these rules later on will be showered with defective M%g! Bl@ks.
  2. I don't recall this... But.... If it was someone who got hold of a bag-o-goats it would be CopMike. I certainly didn't get them. I've only got 4...
  3. There seems to be a flood of "What should I buy" type topics lately. The problem with these topics is that if everyone made one over ever purchase the forum would become unreadable. Thus to solve this problem this topic has been created to be the new home for all such questions. Do note though that there there's a topic about this already but since a lot of you Technic guys seem to not want to hang out with the System guys I'll make a similar topic here, but please do realise that EB is one site, not a collection of many small ones. I'm making an exception here, not a rule... Ask away!

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Tone down on the self promotion please....
  5. ...I've supported it. I actually surprised you're finding it hard to get over the line. I'll see if I can get some friends on board...
  6. You're a legend. Thanks very much. I'll have to see how close I am to making this....
  7. Welcome to our new suggestion and complaint topic! Feel free to share any complaints or idea you have in regard to Eurobricks here. We do ask that you try to keep things as impersonal as possible (for example please don't post stuff like "Siegfried smells 'cos his mum told me" or "Why did you close my topic on testicles?") and don't endlessly debate points. We do listen to our members, but that doesn't mean that we can do whatever is asked. However, if everyone asks for something politely then there's a decent chance that it will happen.

  10. Review: 42065 RC Tracked Racer Name: RC Tracked Racer Number: 42065 Theme: Technic Year: 2017 Pieces: 319 Price: USD $??.99, Euro 79.99€, AUD $119.99 Brickset: Extra Info Technic Early 2017 Review Series Welcome to the second in my batch of 2017 Technic reviews! I was offered all the small sets early 2017 for review late last year... but I ended up getting them all! Thus I have a lot to review. I've been doing them in parallel and changing my process as I go so hopefully the latter ones will end up being the best. On that angle I'll probably retcon some of the earlier reviews if I improve my process. Due to this remember that I'm happy to take extra photos or provide extra info on request, and anything especially good will be added to the main body of the review. Do note though that sometimes the model may no longer exist if I have have made an alternate. On the subject of alternates, I will be making the alt model, if I have the instructions, think the model is worth making, and I have the time. Also I'll show mid stage construction only if I think it's relevant. Thus don't ask for construction photos or alt models if they aren't part of the review.... I am prepared to extract parts for detail photos though. Photos will all be hosted on Flickr so larger versions are available, and relevant videos will be on YouTube and linked to from here. I don't edit photos much; very rarely I'll crop one and almost never will "correct" them so the photos should be as natural as possible. I will try to not be repetitive; thus it's worth reading my other reviews. For example I'm not going to complain too much about the digital instructions; I'll try to complain about new things, or maybe not complain at all! Here's all the other reviews of H1 2017 Technic... 42057 Ultralight Helicopter 42058 Stunt Bike 42059 Stunt Truck (and 45058/42059 Combiner) 42060 Roadwork Crew 42061 Telehandler 42062 Container Yard 42063 BMW R 1200 GS Adventure 42064 Ocean Explorer 42065 Tracked Racer Mucho multi thanks to the EB LUG Ambassador CopMike and the LEGO CEE Team and Designers for allowing me to review these sets for Eurobricks. So onto the review! Packaging Front.... ...back.... ...top. Unboxing Standard punch box. Only one instruction book and it's staple bound. Secondary model has instructions online only, at this stage it is not there. Not a big fan of the whole on-line instructions system. There seems to always be a delay in the release of the secondary model, and the app does not support all devices. For example my Xperia Z5 is not compatible, but my Xperia Z Ultra (older but larger screen, but a phone, not a tablet) is not. The build is not sectioned. In hindsight I probably should have left the tracks bagged for this photo. The special parts being.... ...the anniversary part.... ...and the recolour of the track sprockets (If I'm missing any please tell me!). Parts list. Random instruction page. Build It's done! Spare parts. The model opens up nicely to reveal easy access to the battery box top... ...and bottom. As a result you don't even need to remove it to replace batteries; you can just slip off the covers. Oddly though there is no way to clip down the body; it's held in place by gravity only. You can see the anniversary part here at the rear. Inside there isn't much; the motors are directly linked to the sprockets... ...and aside from the benefits tracks give, there is no suspension. Since this is a Remote Controlled Racer by name, I decided to make some videos highlighting its capabilities. Adding the stickers does help blend the panels together. On the subject of aesthetics, the "antenna" is an interesting addition. Since it's not really a RF car it has no purpose except making it look like one... thus does this make the set a model of a non-LEGO RF tracked model, or is it deliberate deception? I should ask the designer I suppose... No "Octan" sticker to my disappointment. Only companies like "Roaring Motors", "Fat Tyres", "Acelle Rate"... Ratings Function: It does what's on the tin... but pure motor vehicles I do have trouble seeing as "Technic". Afterall, back in 2008 there was a Mars Mission model that was designed to be motorised and mechanically was much the same; the same motors directly driving the sprockets. Sets like this would have normally been grouped in the "Racers" line. 4/10 Parts: Once again, it's as advertised. There's pretty much little functional Technic, but it is a RC Track Vehicle so faulting that isn't fair. 9/10 Price: $119.99 AUD for 319 parts seems rather bad, but in reality the value is very high due to the motors; individually the Power Functions cost $95 AUD. 10/10 Accuracy: I could fault the asymmetrical motor placement, but I think the design is intentional to reduce width and increase balance. Which is arguably an accurate decision since this actually has to move, which it does very well. 9/10 Fudge: What we have here is the ultimate design-your-own-RC-tracked-vehicle set. Technic it may not be, but it is pretty cool. 5/10 Overall: Buy! 7/10

    MOC: Domo-Kun

It's Domo-Kun! Don't worry; he might look scary, but he just wants a hug. Domo loves to eat potatoes. Domo salutes! I'm not sure why... he tends to daydream a lot. Domo and his large soft friend. Domo and his new friend. Domo stressed! Careful; he tends to fart... Domo is searching for adventure! For the curious, I was inspired to make the because of the 8971 Aerial Defense Unit review.
  12. Made a good LEGO trade/purchase/sale with a member? Tell us about it here! We'll tally it up so this can be used as a way of building confidence between members. Things to note are; This is just a guideline; it doesn't mean Eurobricks recommends a certain member. We mostly want to hear good news here; we don't have the time, manpower, or authority to mediate disputes. But if you've had a really bad experience you can post it here. Only recommend Eurobricks members. Only post if the buy/sale/trade is LEGO related. This list will be updated regularly but not instantly. If you change your DisplayName post it here when you nominate someone or PM me. Don't expect me to work it out and don't post here every time you change your name. Please try to keep conversation to a minimum; excessive posts here makes the list harder to tally. So onto the review! Packaging Front.... ...back.... ...top. The combiner is interesting in this one so I did make it. Unboxing Standard punch box. Instructions and wheels were loose. Instructions are provided for both models, and the quality is excellent with thick bound covers. The build is not sectioned. Aside from the anniversary piece there isn't anything new here, but the panels used for the side and the windscreen are new colours, and more importantly the wheels are in black at last. Parts list. Random instruction page. Build This is the lower frame with the engine and driveshaft joined. This is the bottom of the bike; the anniversary piece and the central gear are viewable in the finished model. It's done! Spare parts. This 600 part set, vs the 250 part 42007 (orange bike), but obviously it's not that much bigger. ('cos it's got the same wheels.) All those parts are just to make the bike better! (Black bike is a MOC. Not being reviewed.) Ahhhgh! Someone dropped my bike! While it's down you can see the frame shown earlier. The gear is there partially so you can spin the drivetrain, although it is functional as well. (Be careful to pick it up with your legs not your arms; these things weigh around 250kg.) Unflattering cam. Even with the extra parts it still suffers the curse of most Technic bikes; near transparency. Doesn't bother me, but it's a common complaint. What does however bother me is the exhaust; it's on the rear swingarm and is thus suspended. This was probably a compromise due to the already complicated rear, but it's just weird. (And incorrect.) The front suspension is mostly correct; telelever or something close anyway. What am I on about? OK.... ..look here. Most motorcycles have a shock either side of the front wheel, but many (not all) BMW ones have what they call Telelever, which put simply is a variant of double wishbone suspension. It has many advantages on paper but this discussion is beyond the scope of this review. Now look here! I'm no expert (not modesty!) but it's in the ballpark. The first time in an official set I believe. OK, let's put the stickers on now... on a side note I find it funny how the designers needed to widen the cylinder head to give it the correct BMW look that causes so many debates about leanability... but I digress again. Each box gets branded, but the model doesn't use the stickers for shape or even panel blending. You can also see here how relatively compact the shaft drive is. (First time in a set also?) Lack of rear brakes is disappointing though. No controls this time. The Technic front fairing is simple but it works well IMHO; these kind of fairings are rather hard to do well. (I cheated and used system on my own MOC.) Going nowhere fast it seems. The boxes come off without too much damage... which highlights that the rear suspension needs better pre-load adjustment (haw, haw, haw) as it's really not strong enough for this model unless it's going luggage free. (I think it's OK in the front.) Maybe it's time LEGO made a really hard spring... To my surprise they open too, which took some creative pin usage. Functional video. Future Bike Concept (B Model) Well for a start, it gets full points for building something very different in a licensed model! To be honest I didn't want to make this, but.... ...I then saw how nice the presentation of it was in the instructions. So I ended up making this first. It uses most of the parts... ...and even gets it's own sticker! (The un-used one.) I didn't realise this until I finished the A model. On a related but negative note, it assumes you have not used the stickers yet, but I don't think it would look bad if you had already applied them The functions are a rotating and angling rear thruster, steering vanes and folding wings. It's best to watch a video. While I do think it's a cool model with decent functionality... I just don't get it. Internal combustion engine in a flying bike? That kinda negates the possibility of Star Trek style tech so how does it take off? The thruster is too far back.... Nor does it lift enough to be an effective force in forward flight. Looking at the art and the front I suspect they wanted to work in the second wheel, but ran out of parts. The steering vanes are pretty cool though. The landing function is good however. The stand makes heavy usage of the pannier parts, which leaves me wondering if the panniers were added to make the B Model better! (I'm out of stuff to say about the B model, but there's plenty more photos on Flickr.) Ratings Function: BMW bikes are a good choice for LEGO as they are very different and give a chance to make a different model. (I hope though that they'll do other licenses.) As bikes go this is an excellent set, adding panniers and an interesting B model pushes this set to top gear. 10/10 Parts: A good blend of parts, although the panniers are not terrible exciting. 9/10 Price: Yeah, it's more expensive than I'd like, but it's licensed and would have taken a lot of work. 8/10 Accuracy: Ignoring the B model, the only flaw is the exhaust placement. 9/10 Fudge: Motorbikes + Technic? What a winning combination. 10/10 Overall: Ride out and get one! 9/10
  14. Fabuland IMHO filled a gap between Duplo and Legoland, a gap which Lego tried to fill a few years ago with the Creator figures, but today it is a void. Today Lego seem to be instead trying to make Duplo appeal to older children as well. Probably because of Hinckleys influence, many on these forums want some of the accessories which came with those sets, but only a few are in production today, so many have become rare and expensive. I think Fabuland sets were great because while the parts were often big, they used normal stud sizes and thus were useful parts later. Also, they appealed to girls as well, a target market that Lego seem to struggle with. While I doubt it will ever happen, I would love Fabuland to return... would you? Feel free to say what you think should come out instead of Fabuland if you have any ideas. EDIT: For a reminder what were the Fabuland parts, look here. Thanks JINZONINGEN 73! *wub*

I didn't always archive these, and when this whole thing started I didn't expect for it to keep going! Looking at the code you were in section "C" so I think it was; On other issues, the Calendar should now be correct and complete...

Review: 42064 Ocean Explorer Name: Ocean Explorer Number: 42064 Theme: Technic Year: 2017 Pieces: 1327 Price: Euro 89.99€, AUD $169.99 Brickset: Extra Info Technic Early 2017 Review Series Welcome to the ninth in my batch of 2017 Technic reviews! I was offered all the small early 2017 sets for review late last year... but I ended up getting the bigger ones too! Packaging Front.... ...back. I don't plan to do the alternate. Mostly due to time, but also as I wasn't too inspired by this model. Here's the top. The scale pic is an interesting choice as it's the first time I know of in a Technic set where the picture has no visible Technic. (There's an axle inside.) Unboxing Standard punch box. Instructions were bagged, and the set is segmented. There's only the main instruction, with the cover being better stock than the main. We're into the big boys now! Parts list page 1.... ...and page 2. Semi random instruction page. Build One bags open! From these you make the accessory vehicles. First up is the little chopper. This has functioning main and tail rotors spun by a gear at the bottom and uses the new double cross-connector piece for the rotor shaft which helps make this remarkable small creation. <RETCON> No! not that piece, this piece! </RETCON> Also is the submersible. It has geared rotating props (not counter rotating though) and worm gear driven claws. These are the spares for the One bags. The rope surprised me. This is all of the Two bags... ...actually it not. I was part though assembling when I realised I was missing parts. Rechecked and found another bag.... ...and by the end we had this! There's a few features that become hard to see later so I'll highlight them now. First off there's the odd part here, the "5" print. It's actually stupidly common part so it's not special in itself, but it's a ship building tradition to do this. Keep this in mind for later! Here you can see the where the crane control shafts are geared up. The red gear is there simply because it's easier alignment than a 3 axle. Two Bag spare parts. I think this is the first time there's been a metallic one of these 1 high pin parts, but I suspect you'll be seeing them a lot more. Cosmetically the 2 long version was ruined (IMHO) by the slits and this solves the problem... Three bags! (Yes, I'm sure this time.) That finishes the model.... but the superstructure.... it's so... white... ...but before I rant about that here's the complete spare parts. (I forgot to take this photo; I'll take a better one in a few days.) While it's not featureless, the lack of colour make it look pretty close to it. Fear not! We have a vast sticker sheet! This adds loads of detail to the bridge mostly. Plus the chopper. (Nothing for the sub.) The ship gets a load line, which while arguably silly is educational (more on that later) and it tells the builder the intended waterline. The life boats are not improved much by the stickers though. But that's enough on stickers. For the sticker fans there's more photos in my Flickr page. The gear near the life boats controls the rudder. Here's the rudders and at full deflection. The mechanism is very similar to the steering in the 42062 Container Stacker set. It's more snappy than smooth. The steering circle is large, but that's arguably accurate. To the front is a set of three wheels to take the weight. The anniversary part is used to lock in the sub. Here's a video showing the functions. I've started mumbling in the videos which is useful if you can decipher it. Sorry if you can't. Most of my points I should re-iterate on in a bit. Size wise here's it on the largest LEGO hull; it's about the same size! (Stickers are old and self-disintegrating.) Didn't test if it'll float like this yet.... Ratings: Function: For a model of this size the functions are minimal. None are particularly impressive either. Showing the props would have helped, but arguably you can't see them in this quasi-waterline model. 3/10 Parts: Excellent really. Mostly structural, but there's still enough mechanical parts too. Oddly there's also some rare-ish System parts too. 10/10 Price: Considering parts only, it's probably the best value set of this wave. 10/10 Accuracy: The small models are very accurate considering the sizes. The chopper is probably too big for that kind of canopy though, but that's just being picky. 8/10 Fudge: This set does raise the question of what makes a Technic set Technic, and I think this one is a bridge too far. It's a shame too as some might recall that I have a thing for water based Technic, partially as there has been so little. But this is not what I had in mind. The focus is weird, even with the choice of using System as the scale display on the box. It's clearly form over function; the coin that is not easily seen in the final model, the fact that the helo-deck has cosmetic structure, the use of system to achieve what does not need to be achieved, such as hand rails and a mast, even the sticker load line. But the vision is inconsistent; the life rafts are an area where some system was needed, yet stickers were all that were offered, the bridge uses stickers to achieve windows when System would have done it better. When I first saw this set I was really looking forward to it, but now it just looks like spare parts. 0/10 Overall: My negativity aside, this is an excellent set for builders. Displayers... well it depends on if you like your Technic to be Technic. It does look pretty good, arguably better than the last ship. But to me it's in the group of "is the really Technic"? 6/10

So onto the review! Packaging Post-damaged front (pylon racing?).... ...back. I don't plan to do the alternate. I was very tempted, but looking at the instructions it seems to be a poor-mans Air Race Jet, offering nothing really special. And I don't have the time. I will say though that the alt mode at least has a semi-believe-able wing size! Here's the top. Unboxing Hurrah! Not a punch box! Instructions were bagged, and the set is not segmented. No unique new parts; the double cross connector and the anniversary part is here, but the rest is "just" recolours. There's only the main instruction included, with the cover being better stock than the main. By the end of the assembly mine was a bit ratty really... We're into the big boys now! Parts list page 1.... ...and page 2. (No instruction pages this time.) Build And what a haul of parts! Since this is the first set from this year with substantial hidden mechanics I'll be covering the assembly this time. Starting with... ...this! This is an excellent start; deeply embedded motor, use of thin beams to save room, use of the many different axles that LEGO have to increase density. Excellent. Here the parts left so far. (I'm moving some of the big bits to the box to the left and the small bits to the box to the right.) The density continues! I didn't experiment much, but I suspect this set would be very easy to build wrong. There's lots of times that alignment is needed and parts must be in the right spot or things just won't work. Not sure if I'm right though; it could just be impossible to go wrong. Same, from the top. Undercarriage! Yeah, it's supposed to be folded in, but I like it better this way. It's stable like this for the most part. Excellent use of parts to find space for the folded wheel. Finished! OK, obviously not. Many of the panels are structural and make full use of the newer corner piece. A lot of the functions are coming together now. Opening the top directly opens the bottom. This currently free space will end up being used by the gearbox at the top and the battery box at the bottom. The pile is somewhat diminished. Gearbox time. This is another of the reversing style ones that have become common. Installed. This is the major components. Ultimately in the back with the yellow beams two worm gears are installed. But you can't see that now. Spares. Rather low IMHO. Thankfully the sticker is not as essential as some, and some stickers, such as the ones on the nose, I don't think they are needed at all. They do help break up the colour slabs though. The cockpit is nice as well. Here's a video showing the functions. I've started mumbling in the videos which is useful if you can decipher it. Sorry if you can't. I've changed the camera as well. From the front you can see where the anniversary part is used. The other F-35 Ratings: Function: A VTOL change like this hasn't been done before to my knowledge (swiveling engines have been) and it all fits in a relatively narrow fuselage. I would have preferred more however, such as ailerons. 7/10 Parts: Excellent if you want the blue. It's mostly structural and panel, but there's still enough mechanical parts too. 10/10 Price: LEGO seem to use motor sets as an excuse to up prices IMHO. 8/10 Accuracy: The lift fan in particular is very close to reality. The wing size is stupidly small, but it could be argued that this is an air race jet and the body provides most of the lift... Yeah, it's a stretch. 7/10 Fudge: I'm not really sure why a VTOL plane is racing, but I'll try to accept it. This is a very nice looking plane model, even for those who don't appreciate the mechanicals. 8/10 Overall: Take a VTOL race to the shops now! 8/10
  21. The new small Technic sets have incredible functionality for their size, and this one is no exception. With only 106 parts this crane can roll, extend, rotate, lift (and hold in any position) and has working stabilisers! The boom extends the same as the other sets with this boom; simply pull it. It works surprisingly well and due to circular ridges inside the boom the extension (which is just a standard beam) will hold in place. The gear at the back controls the height of the boom. As you can see the boom is only half extended. Boom fully extended, half down. The cable is kept in place via two gears and a blue pin, same as the 7905 crane. Even under decent weights this works well. The stabilisers however cannot handle much weight once the load is moved off axis. The stablilsers are a very simple but effective design. Another shot of the stablilsers. This also shows how far the boom will decend. The boom height mechanism works well also. I love the cab design. Overall this is a remarkable achievement for the low price. I bought it for the boom piece as I want to improve the crane that came with 7998 7898 ( :-$ ). I highly recommend it.
  22. I was browsing though my collection of digital instructions the other day (I have over 2000) and I ran into the cool whistle controlled train from 68/69. For those, like me, who have never heard of it, I mean this one; Aside from sharing this with the fun fellows at Eurobricks, I wanted to know if anyone has actually seen one of these working. If so, how good were they? Should I sell my soul and try and get one? It is interesting that Lego, even in the late 60s, were trying to add electronics to their toys.

So onto the review! Packaging Front.... ...back.... ...top. Unboxing Standard punch box. Instructions were loose, build is segmented so the 1 bags are for the truck, the 2 bags are for the trailer and digger. Both models have included instructions, covers are of slightly better quality to the pages themselves. 1 Bags... ... and 2 Bag. It is a good mixture of parts, especially in orange, and new parts being the 40th anniversary 3 beam... ...this new opportunity creating connector... ...these odd parts... ...and the wonderful new worm gear. I unfortunately don't have the other new worm gear, so I'm curious of any opinions and comparisons. Parts list. Random instruction page. Build It's done! OK, maybe I should back track a bit. The 1 bags build this truck... ...with these being the spares. Bag 2 make the trailer... ...and the digger... ...with these being the spares. Combined Spare parts. The anniversary part is on the bottom of the trailer. Before I start discussing, it's best to watch a video demonstrating the functions.. I find these models odd. The digger uses one of my most disliked buckets and uses it's click joint as a function... if it was for the fact that the scale is too small I'd almost be confusing it as a city set... OK, that's going too far, but I do wonder (aside from filling a price point) what is the intention of TLG with these sets. The inclusion of the minifig tools almost makes me think they are trying to bridge Technic and City... ...but they seem too small to me, and the digger isn't too pleasant looking either. Mini Gritter with Plow (B Model) I was curious of this model as I thought it seemed more interesting than the main model. While it does use most of the parts thankfully the bucket is ignored. (The other click joint part is used as a brush.) I think the functions are better than the A model, and here's a video! I love the more complicated tipper mechanism; due to the worm gear this can lock at any position. The steering works well too. I also like how the tracks are used as a conveyor. It makes a good usage counterpoint to the main model. They are geared to be manually turned unfortunately; linked to the wheels would have been more interesting. The anniversary part is better placed too. (The tan pins are used as a simple steering limiter.) Almost walrus compatible too. Ratings Function: The A model I didn't really like; the steering is average, the tray tipper design has been done a lot, and the digger has overly simplistic arm controls. However I was more pleased with the steering on the Gritter and was impressed by the tipper. Putting those two designs together makes this set an excellent example of steering and tipping. 8/10 Parts: The set is a very good collection of parts for the set size. 9/10 Price: It's OK value, but nothing special. 8/10 Accuracy: The main model isn't too consistent IMHO. The truck is accurate enough, which highlights how the digger is overly ambitious considering the scale, and the trailer is very weak. Personally I think making the digger go in the back of the truck would have worked out better, especially since the main box shot doesn't show the trailer anyway. As for the B model, as an Australian I don't know much about gritters, but a quick web search found a few similar ones. 6/10 Fudge: Small sets are a challenge to fit in good varied and interesting functions. I think this set has done well all things considered.7/10 Overall: It's a good small set, with some interesting engineering examples. 7/10
