  1. Cool, looking forward to that!
  2. Truly marvelous build, well done!
  3. Interesting, will attempt to edit pics with Preview ASAP, freebuilds are waiting to be built, know what I'm saying? Thanks Cody! Excellent, thanks for clarifying things and the suggestions, BEAVeR!
  4. Is this technique specific to LDD or Windows? I'm running on Mac, and I wanted to take a photo rather than a screenshot, so I don't have any clue to what you're saying, sorry... Nonetheless, thanks for replying @VaderFan2187.
  5. I can take the pic, but I can't resize it to that square profile pic type image. Also, should I use the signature thingy even though I'm not the player index?
  6. Thanks @Zaael! I'm really excited to serve the Rebellion along your side. Yeah, gotta read that Core Rules topic ASAP, will do! I already got some freebuilds underway, so I'll post them later. As for the sigfig though, I'm having some trouble with the pictures...got any tips? Long live the Rebel Alliance!
  7. I would like to join the Rebellion as a pilot, gimme a fleshy guy, I'll provide a sigfig soon enough. Could I just be called Chrome? It seems more reasonable. Also, I got a few questions, if you don't mind: Since Ep. XIII is done (I think), what can I still post until Ep. XIV starts, and when will it start? Also, (this might seem a little stupid, but...) do the freebuilds necessarily have to be built from scratch models, or can they be modified official sets? Custom ships would qualify as "non-purist", right?
  8. I think VaderFan2187's idea would work well and wouldn't take up much space leaving more room for the bomb port. LOL I only saw it now on the first pic oops
  9. Awesome build, this would make an amazing addition to your fleet over on Flickr. Great job, keep it up with the amazing work!
  10. Simply mind-blowing! The sheer size of this is amazing!!! Congratulations, my friend, the Alliance should give a medal!!! How long did it take you to build this?
  11. Looks promising, but I still think it looks similar to the official LEGO release. (please take this as constructive criticism, not as an offense) Could I suggest making a bomb mechanism in the center? I was going through research and I found that some TIE Strikers are produced with bomb ports loaded with proton bombs or mines, and were operated by a forward-facing gunner or bombardier where the cargo area on the official LEGO release would be. Take a look at Star Wars Explained's video where he shows this:
  12. Very interesting build, very nice looking. Good job!
  13. And that is according to...? (sources please)
  14. Did you ever see any information regarding minifigs supposedly included in 75179? I never heard anything. And that, my friends, is why it still makes makes sense that LEGO could release a Yavin 4 Rebel Base/Hangar set this year for May the 4th, which would be pretty cool, IMO. Personally, I'm not hyped for that Snowspeeder too. Heck, we only got pictures from the Assault on Hoth set last year only a few weeks before it was set for sale. But following the same logic, the Millennium Falcon rumor does get more support, even though we already got one, and, honestly, I don't think we need one. Like @Deathstroke77 said, their are a lot of untapped possibilities for UCS sets that LEGO hasn't explored.
  15. Excellent work! Since the cockpit fits 2 pilots, I'm pretty sure this thing is actually minifig-scale. The detailing here is quite impressive, well done! If it is of any help, the official U-Wing description says the ship is designed to carry up to 2 pilots and 8 soldiers. Here are some reference pics for comparison, if anyone needs them for future suggestions. Keep up the good work, @Ellisss_2!
  16. Yes, I know it's the ROTJ version of the A-Wing and that the cannons are pretty thin, as @VaderFan2187 showed in the reference pic. In retrospect, I shouldn't have said "especially compared to the 75150 Rebels A-Wing", since this is a discussion the ROTJ version in LEGO form. Still, 75175 version seems awkward-ish TO ME especially from the angle depicted in the boxart. The stabilizer fins (is that what it's called?) seem to be angled to the center a bit too much. The cannons seem too thin FOR ME because 75175's body reminds me A LOT of 75150's fuselage. After looking at this, I argue that LEGO should have used another piece (or build) for the engine fins. It doesn't look anything like the fins for the ROTJ version. It looks out of place, too Rebels-y. No denying, 75175 is a great representation of the A-Wings in ROTJ, but those fins... Maybe someone could come up with a mod for 75175, I can't since I don't own any A-Wings in fact (I would like to though...).
  17. The photo is taken by Alteregoistic on their blog. It's the Bandai 1/72 scale X-Wing Starfighter model. Here's another pic of that, also taken by him/her: Your welcome, @krzy_chu! I'm more than happy to help you out on this project. The nose gear now does look promising, as does the whole build in general As for the main gear, I would suggest doing the same thing @Cyh Naan did for his UCS X-wing, since they use the same piece for the engine cylinders (4x2 semi-cylinder): take the lower piece off, insert the gear assembly, and make a cowling/flap on the side of the gear strut that would supposedly retract and cover the gear, but It actually won't. This will disguise the gear feature, but if you want retractable gear solutions, I'm sorry I have don't have any more ideas. Now what's left is to find a way to reattach the exhaust cylinders back on...
  18. That's great news! Magnificent job on this marvelous MOC of yours! Well done, bro!
  19. Excellent rendition of the U-Wing, love it! PLEASE post the breakaway/cross-section pics! We need those, bro! Good job!
  20. I picked up 75155 - Rebel U-Wing Fighter, 75083 AT-DP and 75036 - Utapau Troopers for Christmas. Really nice sets, very satisfied with my acquisition.
  21. I feel that we need other TIE variants, like a new Bomber or Interceptor. Or even both! Something along the lines of Rebel Builder's MOCS would be awesome! A guess a TIE Defender would be cool too, but we got that more recently than the others. On the other hand, they will make a prominent appearance on SW Rebels, so...
  22. Looking good! I initially thought the engines pods were kind of on the large side, but I think you corrected it. I think nose gear should be, well, closer to the nose itself, but it still looks kinda weird. Try using this pic for reference: Hope I helped!
  23. I would vote for an AT-AT walker, another motorised version would be nice, though I do want space to store troops this time around.
  24. Sweet mods, dude! An excellent piece 9f display you got there, well done!
  25. Sweet looking ship! I'm personally a big fan of the TIE Defender's design. Wedge: "Look at the size of that thing!"
