I think it would be really cool if LEGO took what they're doing with the City sets next year (60290, 60291, 60292, and 60304) and adapted it for Marvel. Like a building/road section that could be combined with other sets to easily make a city for your heroes. You could have Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Daily Bugle, a street corner, etc all in the $30-100 range and each one would have related heroes and villains just like they usually do but instead of a bunch of vehicles you'd have a city street (presumably NYC styled) for all of them to play in and you could still have vehicles too. I feel like that's something both kids and adults would appreciate.

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

Just to play devil's advocate (I do agree that LEGO isn't doing as good of a job as they could with Marvel) but LEGO put a lot of money into Overwatch and that theme crashed and burned. Now there's a few reasons for that, the biggest being LEGO was WAYYYY late on the Overwatch hype train, but LEGO may have taken that as a sign that putting so much into the licensed sets is risky. Just a thought. I mean what licensed themes have really been a hit and stuck around? DC, Marvel, Harry Potter, Disney stuff, Jurassic World, and Minecraft? Really only Harry Potter has been what AFOLs would truly want from it, maybe Minecraft too but that's such a simple style that it's not as hard to pull off. Hidden Side has probably been the most detailed in house IP they've ever made and that only lasted 2 years. My assumption is that LEGO's internal data is showing the sets they're putting less money into are some of their best sellers so they're sticking with that strategy. I would love if the quality of the Marvel sets were at the level of the HP sets or the current Avengers Tower on a regular basis and I think it's good that people are voicing their frustration that it isn't at that level. Unfortunately, I don't think LEGO will ever get to that point. Venom, Carnage, and vehicles sell too well so they won't stop making them until they aren't good sellers. What I really hope for is more buildings and new characters WITH their big sellers. -

I doubt we'll ever see a wave of sets where it isn't mostly vehicles, but I really wish they'd make more building/facade sets per wave and include some side build structures in the vehicle sets. Even just a newspaper stand or something like they did in 79118 (a TMNT set) *and the original Ghost Rider set 76058* with their oversized bikes would be nice. There really are a lot of different buildings from the Marvel universe they could make into $50-90 sets like they did with the Daily Bugle. Even just generic NY buildings would be cool and would work since most of the characters live there haha -

I really like that they gave Gwen and Miles new web piece colors. I would have preferred yellow to light blue for Miles' webs since it would be more accurate, but it's cool that they at least acknowledged his venom strike! Overall, for me this wave is just okay with a handful of great figures and a few good builds. I really like the Big Time suit, new Mysterio, updated Gwen, and the Miles and Cap mechs. I like the idea of the Spidey Hidey Hole, but it is WAY too expensive and I wish they cut out the random skateboarding and bike stuff to build out the lair more. The monster truck is pretty dumb, but the drones are cool and I actually like the shape/colors of the truck a lot and I'm definitely going to MOD it so it looks like a regular box truck for my city. Doc Ock is pretty cool too, I like that he looks similar to the PS4 version. I wish the charger was based on the new speed champions size rather than the old one because it's just too square for me. Reyes GR is cool and I don't hate the design but it could definitely be better. -

Lucius being available for a lot cheaper is such a relief, I love the DA set but there's just no way I could justify spending $400 on one set (irregardless of if it's worth it or not) -

I am really glad they seem to be slowly moving away from that old hood. The Star Wars version leaves something to be desired but the version they’re using in the Spider-Man sets next year is such an improvement! -

Depends on your area in relation to where the warehouse with the sets is. Mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and I have prime as well. A day or two difference means nothing to me though, I'm just glad we're actually getting it especially since the rest of the world got screwed over -

You're right that it's wishful thinking, but I'd wager that Oscorp has enough name recognition to be a well selling set (and is probably the most realistic of the bunch). And I know quite a few people, myself included, on here will jump at the chance to buy any of those buildings whenever they do become LEGO sets -

That definitely would have been preferred, but I do like that pulled up mask style and I’m just glad we’re finally getting that suit. I know a lot of people have that on their wishlist ? Actually the colors are reversed. I guess it’s Ben Reilly then? Well that sucks. -

The displayed figures in the lair leaked. Looks like big time and the homemade suit from homecoming. Venom is not a bigfig though The hood is pulled up on the homemade one like in the Venice bridge set from far from home. Looks like a new face print for venom -

What do we figure the odds of winning are? Looks like there's 1650 to win based on the website. How many people in the US have 1) completed the game 2) heard of this sweepstakes and 3) took the time to enter the sweepstakes/wanted the minifigure? It was only at 16k likes on Twitter a couple hours ago. I really don't want to get my hopes up, but I feel like there's a decent chance for everyone who enters! -

I know it'll never happen, but my dream has always been for them to do a live action TV show for Spidey (a Disney+ show would be perfect). You could have all the main villains and even work up to a spider-verse in only a couple years. But yeah, Miles and spider-verse would ideally still be a movie or two away but I have a feeling Sony is pushing hard for them -

I wonder if with Disney's reorganization from earlier this week and them announcing that Disney+ is basically their top priority, if that'll mean more merchandising for these shows? -

Maybe Miles webs are blue because they are combining his shock powers with his webbing? Just a thought (I know it's usually depicted as yellow) -

There's so much printing on Spidey's arm in the ghost rider set I thought it was red instead of blue until I zoomed in Also, I'm guessing it's the Big Time suit in the case beside Iron Spider. Don't see any white, so I'm assuming it's green which would be harder to see No dual molded legs for Spidey :/ -

He reuses the Hopper Head! I'm honestly surprised, I didn't think they could use a head from another licensed theme. even if it's the same actor -

Right, because NO characters from their TV shows made it into Endgame....... Lol anyway, I always assumed it was a control thing. He and Jeff Loeb obviously saw how the TV shows should work differently so he basically just ignored them after a while so there wasn't a part of the MCU affecting the rest of it that he couldn't directly control -

I'm pretty sure I saw a MOD that made the Daily Prophet top match up with Florean's on instagram. I'll look up who it was later today, but they're someone who posts a lot of decent HP MODs that have decent editing skills too
