On another note, what really impresses me the most is the fact that this years sets appear to be increased value for money, with the price per piece crashing down from what was about 12p per piece, to about 8 or 9. YAY tlg!!! :D

Hmm. The Mining sub-theme does appear very orientated around what KFOL's would like. I think that they don't look half bad, I wanna pick up set 4200 though. It look kinda cool. I guess one of the big reasons not many people are going to buy the summre sets is because they'll be burning their cash on this current wave. I'm holding out for Amazon to stock the Lego Sets for a much cheaper price! This year is going to burn a sizeable hole in my pocket!

The US has a much bigger market base for TLG to target, its also where a lot of AFOL's are based. Also from last year when the 2012 sets were released early for the US in November, I got some of them here in the UK in the second half of december, then Australia gets it last in January. It's really in order of how big the markets are in each continent, with North America being the biggest. I'm still pretty jealous of you Americans who can get them before the rest of us! At least it gives the rest of the us a chance to truly see the good and also bad points of these new sets. I'm personally really excited, but its still probably up to a month till I can get my hands on these new sets :(

I don't think next year will be more forest police. More likely we will get a forest Fire Station or something like that. We see some Forest Fire Dept. here in this first wave, so next years firs wave will most likely be the bigger Fire sets.

Indeed. But also some of the sets(Dirt Bike Transporter, Tipper) have what appears to be High intensity beams on top. Why use Four 1x1 Round Plates instead of just one of the new 4x1 translucent light plates we've seen from the police car in the Bank and MOney Transfer Set, and the 2011 K-9 Unit?

I was just wondering, if these are meant to be forest rangers, wouldn't it make sense if they had horses? I see a lot of forest rangers with horses and stuff. So the police could have a big horse box like this: http://www.police-car-photos.com/picture/number171.asp But i guess this is probably what the k9 unit is for as the horses are quite big. It would still be quite cool though :D

Also are those new wheel arches? They seem much shorter covering only 2/8 of the wheel instead of the usual 5/8. Edit: deleted pictures.

Some of the REALLY old Fire Sets which have been around since 2007 are most likely to go such as the 7942 Off-Road Fire Rescue and 7239 Fire Truck. But some of the newer fire sets could stay. And these are some conversion rates: £1 = $1.6(US Dollar) $1(US Dollar) = $0.96(Australian Dollar) £1 = $1.53 Australian Dollar. Dem Currencies... EDIT: I don't know if you guys know this or no but I have a few confirmed prices on sets! 4206 Recycling Truck: $29.99(so I was right-ish about it being £19.99 ^_^) 4431 Ambulance: $19.99 4432 Garbage Truck: $19.99 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter: $19.99 4434 Tipper Truck: $19.99 4435 Car and Caravan: Guess what.....another 19 US Dollars and 99 cents! This is all that is known atm. But looks like we're getting a lot of nice Medium Sized sets of about 130-150 pieces each.

(also sorry about the prices being in GBP!) 4206 Recycling Truck Looks good. But all them stickers X_x!!! Lots of nice accesories. Estimated Price: £19.99 4208 4x4 Fire Truck Meh, seems like its a poor reproduction of the old 4x4 (7942) which was brilliant, with all its accesories. It looks a bit awkward being really short and tall. However, I think the tree on fire is quite cool! Price Estimate: £13.99 4209 Fire Plane Brilliant, its realistic, and I like the translucent blue bricks which would be water, again with the burning tree(forest theme really becoming prominent). We already have a helicopter, so TLG thinks its time for a plane. Can't blame them but not for me. Price Estimate: £29.99 4427 Fire ATV Police have an ATV so the Lego City Fire Department need to have one as well. Don't get why the Fire Extinguisher is hanging of the front though, again like another old set(which i got for free from a newspaper!) Price Estimate: £3.99 4430 Mobile Fire Command Centre Big, ugly truck. Fits in with the Forest theme again. But isn't this just like 7213, except a bit more flash with the Amphibious truck. Looks OK, but another set not for me. Price Estimate: £39.99 4431 Ambulance OH WOW!!@@!!!@!@!@!LOOKS AMAZING. Out of all of the sets we know of so far, this is the one I want the most. But only probably because I missed the last Ambulance!Maybe its an early sign for the Summer sets, that we get a hospital. We also have a female Paramedic, with a male, for that political correctness, but the red uniforms are slightly horrendous. Also the back door to the ambulance is a small fail :( I was hoping for actual doors....But I've been waiting for this set for a long time...No Complaints. Top of the list for me Price Estimate: £13.99 4432 Garbage Truck Just like above, I've been wanting one of these too. I missed the last Garbage truck >_< It looks pretty nice(ut also quite small) and as a few of you mentioned before, the wheel arch is very close to the wheel. This is not a problem for smaller sets, but as this is slightly larger...it may cause problems(lets hope not though) Love all the details, and this is also at the top of the list for me. Price Estimate: £13.99(but maybe £19.99 :( ) 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter Looks cool, I like the Range Rover style it has, its again similar to the 4x4 in the Farm sub-theme. Lots of nice little accessories, and am I mistaken into thinking we are seeing Octan people again? :D (with the Power Boat Transporter, and now this..) Maybe we will see a garage or service station in the future! Price Estimate: £13.99(possibly as low as £10.99) 4434 Tipper Truck Looks OK. seems versatile, can be used for a building site, roadworks, or for General Refuse collection. If I have cash to spare I'll get this Price Estimate: £13.99 4435 Car and Caravan Camper Van 2 years ago and now a caravan. For those who have a camping site or something. But its just a general set. It's pretty cool but.. meh Price Estimate: £13.99 4436 Patrol Car Cool! :D A patrol car, seems nice enough, and this is us heading back into the Forest Theme. I think its cool enough A nice little set to add-on to the much larger forst theme sets. Price Estimate: £8.99 4437 Police Pursuit Ok now this is just a sort of repeat of last years police Chase, but in a forest. We see another Police ATV, and thief in a 4x4. I like the small details such as the fact the thief has no sleeves(pretty hardcore) And that the Policeman has a gold visor( :o awesome!) and a more Ranger style uniform. Price Estimate: £8.99 4438 Forest Police Command Centre RAWR! theres a bear. Doesn't look like a Command Centre, more like some civilians Lodge, but we haven't seen the inside. Not really for me. Price Estimate: £23.99 4439 Heavy Lift Helicopter What a monstrosity! It looks absolutely awful. Don't know why the Police would need a Cargo Copter, it could be OK for other uses, but the front rotor blades make me rip my eyes out! @_@ Price Estimate: £29.99 4440 Forest Police Station A nice Police Station. Nice details and all but..meh. Price Estimate: £29.99(knowing TLG it will more likely be £39.99) Police Dog Van Now wait a minute...Don't we already have one of these. I got one on my table! The one that came out this year!rage!!@!@! But this one is bigger, and can carry, not one, but two dogs, PLUS ACCESSORIES! And in addition to this there is a car to chase down, plus some scenery in the form of a closed down Mine Entrance. This one is bigger, and I will probably also get this. Price Estimate: £19.99 The sets I'd like to get are: 4206, 4431, 4432, and 4441. If i have some spare cash 4436 and 4434. Man this is going to be another year which is heavy on the pocket!

I'm more excited about the Power Boat Transporter. Dunno why but.....I also have a feeling that although it is listed as £30, it will be 1/3 off and sell at £20, like the 3321 Lego City Truck thingy. Main issue with price is that because they are Harbour sets, they have all the massive hull pieces etc...Like the 64 piece Fishing Boat. Its £13.99! :o

:) Fab news! I missed the last Post van and plane, and I'm hoping for both this time round, or maybe even a humble post man with his buggy with a couple of letters. That would be a great set! It is a shame its a Winter set though. I wanted a Post Office in regular City theme. If it weren't a Winter set, I'd expect a Bureau d'Exchange, but maybe a small stall selling Mulled wine, and other hot drinks? :)

tbh, £12 for it is an absolute rip-off. In some of the toy fair pictures, it is pictured as costing $4.99. so it really should cost no more than £5 and you should have been able to buy it. I might pop down to my local WHSmiths soon, thanks for the tip-off :P. But £12 You shoulda been able to buy it with 5 quid ;D And all the Space sets have been in England(thanks to Argos) for like 2 months now!

Uhhh thanks for pictures! Fishing boat...looks like they just sqaushed it in. I was expecting bigger D:. Boat transporter is overpriced.uhhhhh, might pass on the harbour sets, but am getting the space sets :P and the Bank :L At least the calendar isnt a load of random waffle too.

Klaus, some good ideas there. Lego Shop would fit in perfectly with 3221. And I do really think we are overdue a Hospital Set.(Last one was 2006) :O!!! A Post office, zoo, and pet shop would be sooo cool as well. Our last set of Cargo sets, wre the post van, cargo plane etc...but there wasn't a form of HQ -
