  1. A Ford licence? That would explain the colours of the dragracer. This blue is the same colour as the original Ford GT.

    As sad as it may seem, from the lego colour pallet the Medium Azure is the closest to the oryginal colours of the LeMans GT40. The second colour is orange like in the 42048 Race kart

    The 1966 GT40 was a great car, it would be a nice thing to have in Lego. Only thing - I'm not a collector so after a couple of days I'd be left with a pile of ugly liftarms and panels, which are hard to use in anything other than the set - the colour is an eyesore.

    About the dragster, I don't understand the wheelie function.

    Real dragsters don't make wheelies.

    If they do, they can't be steered over the track.

    The frame in the back is in every funny car and 42050 is a funny car. The reason for the frame is for the car not to flip when it accelerates, because it lifts the front wheels when it's accelerating. The car has no need for steering as it's racing in a straight line

    Americans, they either race in a straight line - drag, quater mile or just keep making a left turn - NASCAR.

    the BWE is suppose to target the German market in special

    the "express yourself" a custom (pretty) pickup the USA market (where such cars are very popular) a proper V8 custom rims etc...

    The rest of the World will have to "live" with Volvo and Claas :) :)

    It feels great to be the rest of the world:)

    Don't have to many pigs to drive them around in the pickup truck ;)

    As Germany is a next door neighbour, think I could give the bwe a go as well


  3. The wheelie bar is ugly, the wheelie function is lame, the frame too narrow or the body shell too wide,

    The set is quite accurate, it's not ugly/stupid or whatever it was called, it's just purpose build:

    If you take a look under the shell (and the body is a shell - it lacks sturdiness as unlike a normal car, it's not necessary for the funny car to stay in one piece) of the Funny Car it looks much like what Lego gave us.

    So you can't blame TLG for how someone designed the original - they recreated it quite well.

    Is that the PF 2.0 will have new connectors, as were just introduced in WeDo 2.0, you will be able to use the sensors provided in WeDo 2.0 with your PF 2.0 to enhance your Lego Technic experience.

    It doesn't have to mean that Lego will handicap the PF solutions and make them unplayable, especially since they probably realize that the AFOLs are an important part of their market for the Technic line and the AFOLs build big MOCs that need powerful motors, that the MOCs are what shows what you can build with Lego Technic when you are not limited by the enduser price.

    IMHO the primary limitation, or the literal nail to the coffin of the original WeDo was the fact that if was running off USB at just 5V. The performance of Lego motors at 5V was atrocious, I remember PF M motors struggling to run simplest functions. If WeDo 2.0 is running at even lower voltage, that makes me seriously worried. Keep in mind, WeDo is designed specifically for education, not performance, hence I wouldn't expect it to be too versatile.

    I would also like to point out that the new plugs look all nice and cool, but they don't seem to be stackable, do they?

    Maybe it is made like that on purpose as WeDo is aimed at kids and teaching so it's better if the connector is firmly connected and the User - child can be sure it's correctly connected


  5. For example, the Xerion tractor would b the base model. But the set would have extra parts for you to be able to make some attachments, let's say a mower deck or plow.

    For the Volvo. The excavator superstructure and wheel base would be the base model. But the arm would be interchangeable with different style arms and attachments. Again you wouldn't take apart the base model, you would have extra parts to make the excavator arms and attachments.

    You mean like in 8063?

    Wouldn't count on Lego supplying enough pieces for us to build multiple attachments


  6. For both the Xerion and Volvo, LEGO should not make a B-model, they should just have additional attachments. Maybe a plow and mower deck for tractor and a different arm with grapple.

    Meaning what exactly, you take apart your Claas or Volvo and build yourself an attachment, which you attach to.... what? you just took apart the a model to build the b model.

    please correct me if I'm wrong.


  7. What if the new Volvo excavator is going to show case the entire pneumatics system, the 1x5, 1x11, 2x11 and 2x7. All featured in the excavator, 4 2x7's for outriggers,2 2x11 for arm lift, 1x11 for bucket curl, and a 1x5 for a bucket grab. A manometer would be placed on the side of the excavator, built into the excavator, like a viewing window for the meter in the engine bay, in tandem with an airtank. This could be a pneumatic flagship, not the overall flagship, but the flagship for the pneumatics for the decade. It's a viable option.

    That is a mighty nice vision, dream even.
