Im talkin abot Star Wars delta team.
* snip*
Reference images:
Completed designs under spoiler:
PS: Applying helmet decal will be a really big challenge, probably it will be better to cut helmet designs on a few different pieces and apply them separately. Also I'm not sure about helmet dimensions.

Who can make me deltas in high res, because i searched for them, and didnt saw them(
...
...
What are deltas? Please post a picture.
I guess Alex is talking about Star Wars Deltas, am I right?
If so, please supply helmet dimensions, so we can work on decals.

Ok, cool. Also, I just wanted to double check, Flatman uses standard blue, right?
Yes, Flatman is in standard blue. Also I;ve updated both Captain Marvel and Firestar. I've added back for Captain, changed muscles pattern, also I've changed Firestar abs, but if you want older version, then you can find it here
All images are in my old post http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12403&view=findpost&p=1350958

You are flooding the Decal Wish Thread with your awesome decals , yet you bereft everyone from commenting on them. Even worse not everyone has had the chance to marvel your work.
Please give yourself some credit and post your work here as well.
(We are supposed to anyway. Have a look at the first post in the Decal Wish Thread. )
Thanks. I've already asked to change thread name to more suitable (previous topic name was confusing a little). I'm going to update this thread very soon.

I must say it is really great set. It was long but quite interesting build. Regarding colour scheme I must say TLG selected nice and attractive scheme. Some might say that pure black scheme, or at least grey chassis would be the best fit, but we must consider that colour scheme is used to attract attention (especially of non-fans, random buyers), and current scheme surely catches the eye, its bright, slightly aggressive and cool.
Its very good set but for some reason they didn't include power switch extension, and it is quite hard to rich battery switch give that it can be easily fixed with simple mod, but when the price is high you expect everything to be well-thought-of.
The set is real tons of fun to play with, crawler got very good roll-over-ability. While climbing down from sofa on few pillows my crawler rolled over its roof back on wheels and continued its way to the floor.

I've noticed that TLG uses different muscle torso variations for every new hero, so I decided to stick to customised muscle torso. But I'll make another version of Captain based on Emperor Krulos template tomorrow along with back.

Thanks.
Nice job, now it is even more clear what it is and what it is for, and you covered most first-timers questions.
As you said It would be nice to have introduction into github, but my english is not good enough to write nice and easy to understand tutorial.
Joining Github to be able to commit might seem a burden. Especially with technically non-saavy people. I don't see a reasonable way around this.I think if somebody have a bunch of svg decals that he/she want to share but don't want to bother with github, he/she can contact one of collaborators and send zip archive to be added to repository.

Hi there. Could some please make me decals for

Here are your decals:
I'm not sure about firestar's abs, but it is really easy to delete. As always editable SVG versions will are avaible at Minifig SVG Decals.
Forgot to note that faces are based on Emperor Krulos awesome blackbat design

I've created twitter @minifigsvgdecal for our project. So we can get feedbacks and keep everybody updated, provide statistics (how many new decals), share links (like useful tutorials, decals from all around web etc). Share your ideas what to include in tweets.

We're happy you like them. We're still trying to get things set up, markting, team-building and what not will come.
I hope to see you again after your exams. Contributors (not only decal creators) are always welcome. I also jut posted our second tutorial on creating decals to the wiki.
Great! From the looks they are drop in replacements . I was also looking at bootstrap and fontawesome. Good call on masonry, never used it before. I'll try out the designs and let you know how it worked out.
Ok. But note that I forgotten to nest menus (ul) correctly. If we nest them correctly, then we would be able to enhance it with javascript, so that user can collapse categories that he don't want to browse now (it will be especially useful when library growth).

Also, if anyone has made any modern female dress' in black, such as the one in this image:
Would you please link me to them? Thanks so much everyone!

I updated the site this morning.

Still waiting for any design suggestions. I hope I can outline some and present them here the week after next.
Here is my 2 cents regarding layout and design. First of all I think we should base it on twitter bootstrap. I archived basic example of layouts. It shows how easy it is to create layout based on bootstrap. Also I added masonry script so that thumbnails of different sizes stack well.
After we work out layout we can play a little with design (choose right colors, add logo maybe, etc), but it should be simple and clear.

Thank you I need a suicide bomber male with tnt would be nice. Also non blown up is what I need.
Here is my take on bomber design. I didn't know what torso color you would use, so I made it transparent. Just fill torso with right color or print it out on transparent decal sheet.
-
By the way great work on github pages. I'm not familiar with jekyll and don't know it limitations, but I'll look in layout designs etc later.

Here is serpentine tail decal, it didn't work out very well. Also it will be hard to apply decal to such a curvy part, you'll probably have to cut decal in few separate parts.
-
I've noticed that all downloadable pngs are at 300 dpi, ain't it too low, I believe modern printers operate at 600-1200 and more dpi. Maybe we should increase dpi up to 600 for generated png previews?
-
This may be difficult, but can anybody make decals for the serpentine designs on their tails.
They key problem here is that its hard to figure out shape of decal. I assume you are going to use this part. If so, can you provide a photo of this part from the top, so I can outline it and make template. Next problem is applying decal, this part is to curvy, so it might be really hard to apply decal.

I hate to repost, but just in case anybody missed this, since it was at the bottom of a page filled with decals. Sorry
Is it what you wanted?

Hi,
These might already exist so sorry if they do, but can someone please make me BBC Sherlock torso decals for Sherlock and Watson.
A few pictures to base them on -
I'd like John without the red cardigan please, and if you could make Sherlock with and without the large coat it would be greatly appreciated, as I might cut one from fabric.
Thanks very much,
Sarah xx
Edit: Sorry forgot to say, not that there's much skin on show, but can I have light flesh please
Here is Watson and Sherlock (with and without scarf)
PS: I have some doubts aobut stroke width (it might be way to thin). Please tell me if it is so once you try them out.
Thanks

If you are in a harry consider checking MCW Index here. Some of the design might be used after minor re-coloration and fixes.
Also you can use my old modern soldier decal that can be found here. Slightly different torso design + legs design can be found here (more darker variation here).
Also here is modern warfare soldier template, it contains different ammo, pockets, and gadgets, just copy-paste, play with color and you'll be able to generate few different decals.
SVG available at our github SVG decals library.

Hello and congratulation on first decal design.
Decal looks pretty good. But here are some recommendations: stitches usually have round ends, you can set stroke ending to be round.
To fine tune wrinkles you can use stroke width tool. Check this adobe tutorial where stroke width instrument and profiles are explained.
Have fun and make more.

Hello, I was wondering if I could through out a request for a few things.
could any one make the thigh guards legs and shin guards on on the figure on the left, (the on with the blue chest plate and bandanna) with the blue parts being azure and the dark parts in either black or dark blue-ish gray.

thanks in advance, and if anyone has any questions, please let me know!
Can you provide better reference images?

That gpl file is a pure text file. It has the rgb values and the Lego name. Are the Illustrator swatches also human editable, i.e. with a text editor?
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that way - for the .ai file or the .ase file. You know how it is with 'big software' - proprietary, proprietary, proprietary.
It seems .ase (swatches exchange) file format is not that difficult to reverse engineer. There are some javascript and php source codes of .ase generation functions available on the internet.

Since SVG uses RGB by default (being a screen-based file format, primarily) I think that's why the CMYK values are off, due to using the eyedropper. I'll recreate the palette manually inputting the CMYK values directly in the 'create swatch' dialog. Also, I'm using the 'LEGO Official' names for each color since there's not enough space in the swatch name for BL, Peeron and TLG color names.
Thanks for palette. Some colors seems a little to dark, but I've got main colors already inputed in CMYK (based on Peeron), just need to gather swatches together. I'll add palette based on Peeron CMYK values later, but not before sunday.
Also there is a PDF with TLGs official colors. Colors almost identical to peeron CMYK colors, but there are some minor deviations, probably because PDF was saved for web/screen with RGB color profile.

So I've been thinking on creating a few video tutorials on using Adobe Illustrator for creating decals. But it turned out that even a simple camo shirt might take up to 30 minutes of air. And because I'm not a native English speaker I'll need to re-dub my video quite a few times, so the full version can't be expected soon, but I've uploaded a time-lapse of the video which demonstrates a technique for creating camo splats (I used same technique when creating SW delta troopers). So here is a timelapse
Also I've got planned out a tutorial on creating a torso decal for Sheik from Zelda (which I'll probably will separate into a few videos). I don't know when I'll be able to finish dubing and proceed to Sheik, but I hope to do it foreseeable future.
I would recommend you to save your files to PDF or EPS file format (they can contain vector graphics and are supported by Photoshop). From this point you have two ways. You can either download inkscape and try to import EPS or PDF and save it SVG or you can send it to any of current contributors who will resave and upload SVGs for you. But I recommend you the first option, cause you''ll get to know Inkscape which is better suited for vector graphics than photoshop.
