Love the design for your lamp post and the trans-light blue plates for icicles.

MOC: Lego MINI USS Enterprise A

For the size very nice detailing, espically like the body and narcells. My only critique is the round saucer section seems a tad small compared to the body.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I could see either a music store or candy shop or a train station or maybe some kind of sled, snowshoe, coffee shop lodge sort of building.

    2012 City sets

Early pics of new sets to get the money flowing from the wallet already and its not even 2012 yet :(. Love the new brick facade piece included in the police buidling sets that :thumbup:looks like actual bricks, I can already think of a hundred ideas for that particular piece on buildings.

MOC: US Navy SH-60F Sea Hawk

One of the best "blackhawk" based helicopters I have seen, great job, u definitly caught the overall shape of the fuselage which I think is the hardest thing about Blackhawks.

    MOC 8 Wide Fire Engine

Nice effect with the orange and white striping. How does it compare to a firefighter minifig next to it?

    Winter Village

I have already told the wife she needs to reserve one two of the shelves in our house for my Lego x-mas stuff, one shelf for the LEGO released Holiday sets (which I just got the Post Office yesterday as a b-day present) that I will also display together and the other shelf for my own built Holiday Town street scene. Can't wait but not putting them out until Thanksgiving, but definitly gets ya in the mood to start thinkin about displaying them.

    [MOC] Megatron (Custom Version)

Pretty dang cool and you definitly captured that 80s look to Megatron, and the fact that it transforms is a double dang!

    MOC: I Am Dracula!

Cool build, I like the tall narrowness of the design.

    MOC: The Parrot Barker Bird

An epic build, really great design. The only suggestion would be to see if you could round off the some of the stud edges by either using curved slopes or even cheese slopes. Great use of color!

    Czech Railway Service truck

Great design and build, fits perfectly into current LEGO designed vehicles. My only advice would be to match the color of the basket and the lifting arms (thought I don't know if they exist in the same color).

Winners of the Spaghetti Western Competition

Congrats to all the winners and very impressive builds especially considering how long it has been since LEGO has released any western themed sets - shows the great ingenuity and creativity that is alive and well with AFOLers!
  19. I'm not going to finish this before the end of September but thought it would fit nicely into the month long theme of Underwater Actions. So I started this WIP this summer after spending some time playing with my son and his Atlantis sets and wondering how did the Atlantis research scientist and divers get out to sea with there equipment. So I decided to build an ocean going research/tender ship. The initial design was based on the Kilo Moana, an oceangraphic research ship based out of Hawaii .My link A link of views of the Kilo Moana My biggest concern in building this ship was in being able to transport some of the actual Atlantis submersible vehicles, so the entire design is built around the hangar bay to house these vehicles. Curretly the hangar can house the Seabed Strider (7977) and Wreck Raider (8057) plus some much smaller personal submersible vehicles. The idea for the double hull design was based on two factors, the Kilo Moana and the fact that I wanted cranes to be mounted on the ship to be able to retrieve and deploy the Atlantis submersibles in a semi sheltered area. The overall color scheme stays faithful to the Altantis sets using red, lime, dark bluish gray, black and yellow. On each forward section of the bows are weapons to protect the ship against the Atlantis warriors. The starboard weapon system is a missile launcher based on the flick fire missiles on the Seabed Scavenger and the port weapon system is a combination harpoon guns and minigun. The search lights are based on the ones found on the Atlantis Exploration HQ. The one crane I have built is inspired by actual cranes found either on heavy lifting ships or dock areas. Still to come: another crane finished dinghy towed sonar array for mapping the sea floor interior of the top cabin superstructure to include an office and research area a crew a small mobile lifting crane to move out the smaller submersibles from the hangar finish the exterior of the superstructure and deck plating diving rack for helmets and flippers and who know what else Current Size: 73 studs long by 46 studs wide by 35 studs tall give or take Oh and the name Timaeus comes from one of Plato's dialogues from 360 B.C. containing the earliest referrece to Atlantis. The crane is strong and stable enough to lift the Atlantis submersibles This picture doesn't do it justice but the mast/radar/antennae array is my favorite part Comments and advice greatly appreciated.

    WIP: The Timaeus

The blue are just place holder bricks until I order more from bricklink and the white I decided to use for the superstructure as most ocean going research vessels have white superstructures and i felt that red or dark bluish grey would be just to many similiar colors everywhere, could have used light bluish grey but I like the white better.
  21. This MOC depicts the M114 UAH, an up-armored version of the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). This is version 1.3 in my series of different military humvees presented in different applications. It has increased armor plating around the doors and a much larger top-side turret with increased armor plating and windows. The tan antennae on the back is a microphone to help locate snipers based on the crack of their rifles as they fire. She also includes 2 smoke grenade launchers on the top side corners of the windshield. I redesigned the attatchmet points for the windshield to the main body to make it stronger and decrease the wobble that was present. The turret is rotatable and includes my version of a .50 caliber machine gun. Other versions have an automatic grenade launcher, 6-barreled minigun or a M249 SAW mounted in the turret. Need to get my hands on a Minigun from Brickarms to mount in the turret but also still waiting for someone to mold a LEGO appropriate .50 caliber machine gun. Some additional images can be found on my MOCpages page: My link

    Lego Ice Cream Van

Love the design and color choices. I would scrap the slope computer piece and install like a previous poster mentioned an ice cream machine and a flip up cooler using some small panel pieces and modified plate hinge pieces. Such a summer time creation
