The three City sets you'd like TLG to release

    1. Church. This has historically been the central element of European small-town life, and the church tower is still so often the literal high point of many small towns. You could also have a small cloister attached with some monks. 2. Recycling Center. Some cool machinery could be introduced here, with a scooper on tracks, conveyor belt, sorting machine. You could convert it to a factory, too. 3. Restaurant. Including the front dining room, and all the back operations: food storage, dishwashing station... but maybe the Pizza Corner took care of the restaurant for a while.

    Our Zorro (Dieter) passing away

Free life lesson: if someone makes a point of asking a question, there is a reason for it. Free life lesson #2: mysteriously unexplained death at a young age inevitably leads to suspicion.

    Our Zorro (Dieter) passing away

RIP How did he die, by the way? A death at such a young age is usually not a death from natural causes. It would be good to know, as a warning for the rest of us, as also with that fellow who founded bricklink and who also died young.

    66374 train superpack

Seems a very hard to find set, especially if you don't live in DE or NL. Looks great!

    Duplo and Lego tracks compatible

I found that the gauge is different. Surprisingly, Duplo is narrower! It's about 3cm across, and Lego is 3.78cm. Mixed gauge track would seem quite neat, as I've seen some set-ups like this in real life (going from Poland to the Ukraine's wider gauge). There are also trains between Portugal and Spain that adjust to the gauge difference between the two countries by having adjustable wheel spans. That might be viable with some Technics engineering too! In any case, it turns out that Lego track is twice as expensive on amazon as on the Lego website. Amazing.
  6. We have quite a bit of Duplo track, and thinking about whether it's worth to invest in more of it (it's cheap) because eventually (kids are two and three years old) we will upgrade to the Lego sets. I know that the connection points do not match, but is the gauge the same? Any suggestions?
