Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
LegendaryArticuno replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I actually think Kevin Feige is right here, I personally think a diverse F4 would be more interesting. I just don't think Pedro Pascal is right for the role. My top pick for Richard Reed would've been Steven Yuen followed by Oscar Issac (Duke Leto form not Moon Knight). I don't see Adam Driver as Richard Reed at all imo. Not a fan of the cast choice for Sue Storm or Human Torch... everyone just seems too old Pedro included for F4: Well on the bright side we don't have to worry about casting choices for minifigs. Hopefully the next Marvel CMF will be focused on F4, remaining X-Men, and also gives us a few villains (Strange Supreme, Ultimate Ultron, Mr. Sinister, etc.) -
Your solution is solar panels:

Unpopular Opinions about LEGO

Wow how is my post going to be the first of 2024? Anyways here goes: 1. I hate LEGO for paywalling Darth Malak in a $100+ completely unecesseary who-asked for it R2D2 that looks terrible in comparison to the recent UCS R2D2. I hate the thought of paying $100+ just for a minifig, I doubt I will even be able to use the parts efficiently to redeem some of the value. 2. LEGO Marvel still on a downward trend from a design standpoint, and value leaped off a cliff in 2023 and continues to be in free-fall with the price gouging on the Hoopty and X-Jet. 3. There needs to be a long break on Spiderman sets, the No Way Home sets were too late and IMO poorly designed with serious corners cut on the minifig design budget. 4. Ninjago got the Dreamz treatment, sets are now overpriced as if they were fully licensed themes. -

Lol I'm legit finding a hard time trying to think of anything good about that movie... it was entirely shot on the Volume, making everything look cheap and one dimensional, acting wasn't good, story wasn't good, the villain wasn't good. Also I'm not sold on the new F4 cast at all... -

Just watched The Marvels (Captain Marvel 2), what a horrendous movie. Sad to see the Marvel theme getting impacted by terrible movies and shows, and also overpriced and poorly designed sets. Makes me question the future of the LEGO Marvel theme. -

I'm tempted to buy the Ornithopter but it's way too big. Really wish they reduced the size significantly and used the parts for a stand instead. -

Damn the X-Jet is insanely overpriced. What are the chances we'll get another X-Jet with similar quality/piece count as the Benatar and recent Quinjet? -

Saw the minifig leak for Cyclops.... wow is it bad. No yellow spandex, no dual-molded legs, and should've given the batman belt accessory instead of print. The printed visor is probably the worst part, a dedicated hair/visor piece would've been ideal considering the cost of the X-Jet. -

I'm still torn on whether I want to buy Avenger's Tower... it shouldn't be a hard decision, but right now I'm leaning NO Not sure I want to buy a set that looks significantly worse than the Bugle and also manages to be a downgrade compared to the Sanctum. The Sanctum also had a minifig quality and selection problem but the design of the house more than made up for those flaws. Avenger's Tower has a major minifig problem and the tower's design itself is quite boring. -

Crazy how fast this topic moved on from Avenger's Tower as soon as it was officially leaked. -

Chinese/Lunar New Year is lowkey one of Lego's best designed theme at reasonable prices. Please have whoever is designing Lunar New Year switch to Marvel Super Heroes. -

Instead of a buildable Captain America's shield... we should've got a buildable Miss Minutes -

There's no confusion, Wong is a good character but a terrible minifig with a borderline racist fu-manchu faceprint. Agent Woo aka Jim Halpert would've been a far better choice for Asian representation: -
Is girl going to be 4 still interested in Duplo for 2+?
LegendaryArticuno replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Disney Princess, Gabby's Dollhouse, and even City are better suited for 4 year old girls than Duplo. -

Minifigs makes or breaks a set. Went from being moderately hyped for Avenger's Tower to completely disinterested after the minifig lineup reveal. -

Looks like Vision's cape is going to be vinyl , also I'm not sure I'm liking the minifig head, I think the prior versions are better -

I dunno it looks too basic and uninteresting. I'm definitely going to mod it so it's a mix of jumpers, studded and flat plates. It's prime real-estate for posing minifigs. Overall, I think it's a great set and maybe the high-res pics/video will change my mind at some point, but right now I feel like Avenger's Tower is last place after the Bugle and Sanctum in terms of design. I will still probably get it near release date since I've been trying to find an excuse to use up my VIP points. -

Lol one step at a time, but I do agree clutch power should be improved especially on a number of specific pieces that almost have no clutch power at all. While I haven't experienced it myself, cracking light bluish grey parts is another big issue. -

This part bothers me... it's so flat. A more gradual angle would've looked so much nicer. -

Ok I have to admit the tower itself looks really good. My initial thoughts is that the Quinjet is highly unnecessary, the broken windows where Hulk is holding is too small compared to GG bursting out of the Bugle, and not having an actual Ultron Prime. Also I'm really glad they didn't go beyond 32x32 baseplate. -
