  1. Your home is looking better  , will it ever be in real bricks? I'm not very good at LLD, I can build from it, just not design with it.

I spend too much time on the PC anyway, unless your BI are there in front of you, on that PC! ( then I'm there all day long )

  2. As 'Captain Braunsfeld' said............

"You are becoming the store expert!"

I agree completely, all your 'store' MOCs are fantastic.  You must have 1000's of small pieces to create all the details you build inside and out of your creations.

Keep up your great work.............maybe I'll ' borrow ' some of your ideas for my creations. ( Surest form of a compliment )

  3. Guys and Gals............Thank-you very much, the compliments will keep my designing fingers busy and my mind to develop a third house, I have a couple of ideas ' brewing '

@ Off the wall............That's the nicest compliment   , do you really think other folks would want to build this?

@ true brick love...........Thanks, no real place in mind. I used to live in the tropics and the houses reflect what I could easily live in

@ alexb420.............Thanks again, I try to improve every MOC I build. Who knows what I'll come with next. ( sent you a PM )

@ ItsaBRICKS.........No, unfortunately not. I haven't tried putting both together ( for photo shoot ), space is kinda tight. They will be together as part of my Lego Subdivision.

@ Henk61.............Thank-you, as you requested.........http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=85595&hl= It took me forever to originally find this, saved to my desktop!

  4. @ eckarty............Thank-you, I worked on this for awhile to get " that style ", don't know what it is but kinda of Tropical/Pacific/Beach type feeling.

@ Captain Braunsfeld .............I worked at adding those interior details, very important to my buildings.... , thank-you

@ Off The Wall...........Thank-you very much, I wasn't trying, just a little anal.......

@ lightningtiger.............Thank-you.......... from a master builder as yourself

  5. D3K..........here are 'some' pictures requested, my Laptop takes its' time to recognize my micro SD card, so not all pictures are available.............

    640x853.jpg

    Full Bucket "dump"

    640x853.jpg

Full Bucket "back tilt" without bucket attached to the liftarms

    640x853.jpg

Full Bucket "dump" without bucket attached

    640x853.jpg

    Same picture...........Bucket attached

I'll post the picture you requested as soon as I can get it off my micro SD card

    Finally it recognized the photo............

  6. Hello Builders,

I've had this MOC for awhile and felt the original bucket looked too small, so I added the Volvo Bucket

    640x853.jpg

New installation next to former assembly

    640x853.jpg

Full 'back' tip in upper most position

    640x853.jpg

    Full 'dump' position

    640x853.jpg

Front view, looks good in my book

    640x480.jpg

    One good looking side view

I had no issues changing the bucket, but wanted to retain the original bucket arms with all the gearing for the LAs

My problem was I spent several hours re-engineering the geometries for the bucket operation to full up to full down without "locking up", and I succeeded.

I used a 2 each of a 2 x 4 liftarm inside of the bucket attachment points and faced the 2x forward allowing additional tipping angle, this made all the difference.

Also fulcrum points were lengthened to make full movements of the bucket, I can't tell how many times I built and re-built this to get everything working right!

  7. Thanks everyone for your comments............

@ BrickRally217 The tree was assembled using a tutorial by EB member MikeS

@ GCO This house was configured to be longer than square as my last house is. I tried the 'stepping stones' several ways and decided on this layout

@ Hereticae Thank-you very much for your comment. I know this isn't really a modular so to speak, but I'll have several in my Lego subdivision and those houses need a little room

@ Mazin Thanks...........I could too.............the wife wanted to move right in. Better start saving bricks, maybe a few million, I'd be happy to start building for you

  8. I submitted this MOC to Lego Ideas, please vote and support my home, thanks. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/91719

May I present my second house for my Lego Subdivision.................C & C Welcome

I hope you folks enjoyed this house, I tried to keep my building style in this house similar to the first one. http://www.eurobrick...pic=103361&st=0I need to recapture my building design and hope to have a third house in the near future

  9. @ alexb420....... Yes my new house is a similar style. The wife made a suggestion on the new house, it should have a Lanai' off of the bedroom.

@ eckarty........I was going to post an improved inside layout, but Bricksafe isn't working today.

@ Loves Houses...........Thanks for the compliment. My Lego Subdivision has some very interesting landscaping scattered about, don't know who the landscaping company is! If I could I would live there, but alas it's only in my mind!

From the earlier suggestions, I made some furniture changes as well as get rid of that 'hidden wall/door' for the loo, but Bricksafe isn't working today so I can't post pictures.

  10. This looks very good, but the size of your house will make your wallet hurt. When you include all the details this MOC should have, it will be an outstanding creation.

I was a little surprised how much my homes cost, but who adds up $$ when your building and enjoying your hobby.

I know when I receive complements from my MOC, I just am inspired to build more.............

The only thing to suggest on floor coverings is to maybe add a design in the floors with tiles or use Brown tiles to look like a wood floor. Also the brick between the upper and lower window sills, doesn't appear to work with the rest of the house, maybe different windows or taller ones, just an observation.( I'm not that experienced to help here)

The furniture will use up a lot of ( in my book ) slopes and other pieces I never considered using before. :look: Good Luck in your new home to be!

  11. I am in the process of trying to construct a replacement rc antenna and I've got a question I can't seem to find the answer to on the web. Does anyone happen to know the thread size of the yellow tipped rc antenna? Thanks

I have one in my hands........O.D. of the threads 0.113" , just .005" short of 3mm. I don't know those thread sizes in mm , good luck.

btw the thread length is less than 1/8" with a small shoulder to limit length of screwing in the antenna

  12. Thanks for your reply efferman, I'm checking my supplies for the additional parts. ( have a stock kit just waiting for this mod ) Haven't decided to PF control or not. :sceptic:

Used lots of turntables in my building days, only forgot to place the driving ring once! :hmpf_bad: ( learned my lesson )

  13. efferman that looks sooo good,  I look forward to building my copy

Any suggestions on the build itself?

Should I use the 9v transformer to power this Crane? Or are the battery packs good enough power?

  14. Fellow builders,

@ bitbang Thanks for your compliment. This was my first adventure in Modular building. I usually build in Model Team style or Technic style, hence my avatar of my first truck, I built last year. When I finished the major layout of the outside of the house, I decided to include an interior as I had plenty of extra parts to add details. ( it helps me improve my building skills too )

@ TMJ28 Yes, I tried to capture that "Pacific/Beach" feeling, as I used to live in a perpetual warm climate year round . So.........I tried my hands at this creation. ( Thanks for commenting. )

( Spoiler Alert )............. Now that everyone has seen and enjoyed this MOC, I have enough parts to build in this style again. I have already almost finished the first floor of my 2nd Pacific House with the 2nd floor coming along nicely.

I hope to finish this new house between Christmas and the New Year, stay tuned and Happy Holidays to all. :sweet:

  15. Nice to see that you build houses too  I stay with trucks and trailers, but are right to expand your view!

The interior is nice too, I love the piano on the second floor, love it...

Thanks, I had good fun building this house. This building style is helping me " upping my building skills ", I'm using elements I never considered using before. :look:

The home will be one of many I hope to be able to add to my 9v layout in my display in March. ( along with your trucks & trailers   )

The wife suggested I move the piano, she can;t sleep, it went downstairs next to the stairway. :laugh_hard: I'm going to add a lounge chair upstairs later

  16. WOW, this one is a beauty

You know I already liked your Desert Angle, because I told you so... The addition of this customized log trailer makes it even better. Nice to see how you managed to match the colors of both!!! I really like the mud flaps on both the truck and the trailer, just amazing. Not only the mud flaps, but all of it!!!

I mentioned this before, the pictures of copies and customized version of my MOCs with real life US trucks in the background is astonishing! So nice this one sitting at a truck stop...thanks...

One more thing, it really needs "wood". But be sure to find wood as light as possible, but that really would make this combi finished...

A humble thank you...

No, Thank-you for creating these fantastic models. To begin with, I just "repainted" them, these creations are kind of like polishing a great Diamond, it just came out even better!

I thought about the 'wood load', and am searching around for something light, that looks good. Maybe a load of Bamboo 'trees',( they're hollow ) I'll come up with something before I demonstrate this fantastic MOC at my display @ Brickworld Indy next March.

Looking forward to new creations from you in 2015!

  17. At the other topic I wrote how I happy I am with your customized trailer. So nice to see that you managed to make it go with your famous Desert Angle. You have the one available Tan grill, you are lucky...

Never noticed it before, but the wing on top of the sleeper is a very nice addition, that is for sure!

Thanks Ingmar...........As you know, building this truck was a personal passion of mine, such a great design.

The finished model needed to "Pop" ( as it does already, the trailer just puts the whole combination over the top! ), as I will be demonstrating this MOC in my display next March, so it had to look real special.

  18. Very nice. Although hiding the toilet behind a secret door is gonna get messy if you ever have company. Also Piano in Bedroom = very very tolerant spouse.

I love the house itself. The rooflines are very distinct, and between them and the Palm tree it has a very "Pacific" feel to it.

Thanks everyone...............yes I know the toilet door needed improvement, working on that.

I love my wife = is very tolerant, she supports my brick habit!

Yes my memories of living in the "Pacific", never cold!

Hopefully will be able to recreate that "Pacific" feeling again in my next house

  19. Thanks Guys & Gals

I really appreciate the comments and constructive feedback, watching all the great builders and their MOCs here on EB forums, just helps me advance my building skills, by observing all the great creations. I'm not there yet, but detail for me is what this creation needed to keep up with the other designers here. ( besides I really enjoyed building this )

@ AFOLguy1970 Thanks for the compliment, Palms design is by a EB member............ Mike S,

I plan for all my houses to have Palms, as I used to live in the Tropical climates.

@ Kristel Thanks for the compliment, detail is what can make these types of builds really special, as your MOCs' display this quality very well.

( I might borrow some of your ideas in the next build I do ) I might move the piano downstairs next to the loo door and use one of your chair creations upstairs.

@ Captain Braunsfeld Thanks so much, I've got a lot of building experience in Model Team and Technic, but this is my first adventure in Modular building, I love it and can't stop

    smashing bricks together!

@ deraven Thanks for the links on the doors and frames. White door is on its' way and I had a Dk-bley door frame in my supplies, installed!

  20. Thanks guys,

@ lightningtiger Yes, I know it wasn't quite right, but current supplies made me do it!

@ daraven That's a great idea.............could you link the part please? I know about the piano, only so much room, besides if I could live there and I'd really have it in my bedroom!

  21. Fellow Builders,

May I present my first effort at a modular building. This House was inspired by this designer http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=6083556 I tried reaching this person, but didn't get a response.

So I set out trying to recreate this really attractive house for my "subdivision" part of my Lego city layout. Here are the results.............C & C Welcome
