Looks good, are those bogies on pendular or torsion bars?
-
I wish I had a buggy motor... *sigh*
-
But the Lego technic taget audience is 8-16 year olds, not AFOLs so of course there will be a limited part range
-
I like it! But does it need the rear wheel stabilisers?
-
Looks cool! I have an iPhone 4s and it is just not to lego geometry

Also has this happened to anyone else: when I take of some hoses a ring about 2mm long gets left on the connection. It has happened a couple of times

I bought yesterday a 8110 Unimog and I have a big problem with it. I cannot connect the pneumatic hoses, especially the blue ones, to the pneumatic valves. Has anyone had this problem before ? The hoses are just to tight, so now I am just looking at a semi-dead Unimog.
Have any ideea on what should i do ?
Run some warm water over the ends of the hoses:)

That's pretty cool!

The field of vision for the driver would be interesting

I love the 8070. This is the set that brought me out of my dark ages. I know there were multiple super cars before the 8070, but I was not aware of them (I have since procured the super street sensation and I also love it). After I built it... I had to modify it. Love your mods... one thing I would highly recommend is using black rims though... heres my version with a ridiculously large air intake, black rims, and additional modifications...

I did put them on and I personally prefer black rims, but for this one it just didn't suit it in my own opinion. It is a great set and the best part is that I got it for $130! Thanks for the compliments,
Jeppo

Is that a gbc module?
Have you seen the LEGO Movie? If not I it is Emmet's mech from the end

It is still Lego so go get it!:) Many of Mahj's builds use bioncle pieces so if you want to reverse engineer them they would help

When looking at the pictures, I just wondered what the extension of the front axle is for. Looks like you're going to add some powered function there?
I thought the same thing but I believe it is just an axle it is crawling over

All the same though it is pretty mad!! We should have a 'pimp my ride' contest on here where contestants make a lego set ludicrous and over the top!

How are the Xl's coupled?
There is a 16 tooth half bevel gear between them which is attached a 20 toothe gear which is on the differential
-
I just love your machines!

There is a MUCH easier way ... go to the Lego website and you can download the instructions for free as a PDF.
http://service.lego....inginstructions
Just enter the set number and voila! Note that the instructions come in 3x PDFs

He does know that but to quote: "I prefer working with the real instructions"

I had the same spare parts left over from my build, they were used in the B model.
Nice way of filling in the gaps in the hood area....i took a different approach. I used 8 of the new small panels to fill in the gaps....but leaving some are open to see the engine inside.

I also added extra headlights on the black corssbar on the front bumper. I really like the job you did on the back end!...can we get some pics of that area?
Instructions are on the way, I am pretty sure I took some photos of the rear in the WIP thread (link is above in first post). I would like to see yours also!

If it is to be a monster truck it has to go fast!!!
-
I really like it :)!
Do you think a AA battery box might fit?
Probably! I shall give it a go

I was over the moon when I picked the 8070 up off Gumtree! Since then I have spent many hours improving the aesthetics and adding drive and steering, which was quite a tight squeeze. I maintained most of the original functions except for the rear spoiler (I thought it was a bit ugly). I am working on the instructions but they are taking a while. You can check out the WIP thread here: http://www.eurobrick...=102664&hl=8070
This will be my last post for the year as I have got to get ready for the Brickvention. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and has a safe and happy new year!

I've got a version:
The wheel is not connected, but if built in real life this would work perfectly, because I have tested it. (I don't have pictures of the built version because my camera has no batteries.)

You should put some castor on that to make it even better!
