  1. ...or even in 2027 for the 50th anniversary! Yes. And interestingly, there have been only 3 sets (2 if we exclude Osprey) across themes with the 'dumb' hub...
  2. You got me thinking. Though I don't know the reliability of the 'retired' tags, seeing the summer line-up of upcoming sets only the Porsche is motorized (maybe the Lunar Rover too, but not confirmed), so it's an indicator they are really downsizing the whole system. I wouldn't be too surprised to have a brand new system next year, with a last C+ set of its kind like it was in 2019 with 42095.
  3. I find it interesting if C+ will be getting another update/portfolio change just after 5 years of being released. At PF it was 11+ if we don't count 2019.
  4. Actually, I've got a similar idea. They will make a chassis with it, and just the shells changes. They can even sell them separately...
  5. Seeing this hub... well, I'm a bit speechless, to say the least. Trying to figure out the benefits. Lighting is one of them, okay. Maybe it's really good for tank steerings, so you don't have to route the cables of the motors, but they are in a fixed position. It gives a core stability to the shell (or structure, if there's any), but it's quite a big chunk.
  6. Yes, you are right. I wasn't too precise, but what I meant by leaks were the pieces of information of sets, not the prelims you wrote, but I guess it has the same effect on knock-offs.
  7. It sounds nice and all, but only a review/video will decide its fate in me. Also, quite sad it's been 11 years since the last lighting in a Technic set (41999), even more (16 years) since a widely released one, the 8297.
  8. Well, yeah, understandable. Thank you for the explanation!
  9. A completely off-topic, but since it came up, I have the urge to ask: why is it bad for TLG to have leaks? I mean, on one hand, the people who follow these leaks are the minority of the consumers, and even if they decide to not buy a leaked set, it doesn't affect TLG's sales that much, I imagine. On the other hand, if there's a promising upcoming set, it can hype up sales quite well, too. I follow the Star Wars topic every now and then, but if Renown will be gone, my heart will be broken :(
  10. Wow, thanks for the info! They all look interesting. I guess the macaroni piece would be mostly suitable for decorations in Technic sets, and the green ones for City cranes. From the remaining 3 I can't imagine what the middle one would be useful for.
  11. What surprises me about the McLaren is September. I tought it would be available in the summer release. Not that I could actually buy it till next year.. Also, I was hoping something "flagship worthy" for autumn, not specifically the 1:8 supercar.
  12. Sadly, an "average" car, licensed or not, doesn't have that many functions in the Technic line. An opening hood and/or trunk, doors, steering and maybe a gearbox is all we can have nowadays. If it had 3 lockable differentials, that would be great! But I'd also welcome the comeback of adjustable height and convertible roof to say the least.
  13. You're probably right, I totally forgot about that! Also, I wouldn't be that surprised, if we got a yet-unveiled set in October, so as to keep it in line with some themes' autumn releases
  14. Not only that, but what keeps me wondering is why the rumoured 1:8 McLaren gets released in August? At previous models it was June.
  15. A lot of guesses can be right about the colour, but haven't seen anybody mention this year's new one: reddish orange. I think this is a possible choice as it's new and eye-catching enough to not be abruptly vibrant. Yes, the space sets use it as one of their main colours, but a fully reddish orange car would be more than welcome and can widen the range of parts in ths freshly released colour.
  16. I'm afraid TLG won't release a set prior to official reveal of the real car.
  17. It's funny they photoshop it on official pictures, but can't make it in real life properly.. if only they released less sets but with higher quality.
  18. I was a bit disappointed about the scale and the lack of Technic parts in the build, but still nice to see it, and at least I don't have the urge to get it :) I really hope TLG makes a proper anniversary year for Technic in 2027, as other themes seem to get something special, not just that 1x3 printed beam...
  19. This is the exact reason for me, too, but I think they wouldn't fit in the existing configuration, so some tweaking might be needed.
  20. I think they are there to help raising the pistons, as if they weren't there they might stuck. Actually, these new elements give me hope we get the same treatment for the bigger engine blocks, too.
  21. Speaking of myself, I will buy all the space sets, not only because they might be one-offs, but I like the functionality, novelty they bring to the theme. Actually, I had a yellow copper orrery which had to be sold, so this Technic version, although doesn't include all the planets the previous had, will definitely get its special place in my collection :)
  22. This upcoming Volvo duopack got me thinking: is it possible for TLG to release a similar multi-vehicle set with different brandings? E.g. a Mercedes truck with a CAT backhoe and a Volvo grader
  23. Somehow this list doesn't satisfy me in terms of including a 'true' flagship model. Yes, apart from the 1:8 car the most expensive set is the 4x4 vehicle, but at least it has to have a Powered up component for that $250 price, like in 8297, and some advanced mechanism not just the same boring moving pistons and openable doors.
  24. 42183 is suspiciously missing... maybe a surprise set or just a skipped number?
  25. It's likely to be the 750s as it's been released in January
