  1. Summer sets are showing on the uk site as mentioned above, but not the Ashoka set - does this have a different release date? Exclusive sets are usually available from S@H and brand stores aren't they?

Since it's a retailer exclusive, it will probably follow the pattern of the Sith Infiltrator and MTT from the last 2 years and come out in August instead of June So the answer to your question is probably yes! No, don't ask me why LEGO do it this way for summer SW exclusives, it does seem rather odd.

Alright so i've seen it many times asked but now that it's happened I can't figure out what to do. I got set 75136 and my R2-D2 has a terrible misprint. If I contact Lego will they send me a replacement for free? If so who or where do I go to get in contact?

Yes, contact LEGO through their customer service department (change the region if you click on the link btw) - they will be able to help you. You can email them or call them. It will help to have the element ID of the misprinted part handy.

  2. Is Europe even going to get the Bionicle sets in June? We in the UK got the Skull Villains super early last year, I'd be disappointed if this year we got the Beasts later than everybody else. Does anybody know if toy or brand stores anywhere in the UK or Europe have got Bionicle deliveries?

That said, I remember a member in the Ukraine who managed to get Quake Beast early in a store, that suggests we should be getting them in June? Yet they are not on any European S@H sites. I'm just confused, are we getting them in June or not?

  3. Here's another thing I noticed, this time with the GMSMOD Flama now I've assembled him: in person his trans-orange Stone Army shoulder armour is nowhere near as translucent as the flame headgear, despite the box art suggesting both are the same transparency. The shoulder armour is more matte and opaque, almost like it's made from a different translucent material to the polycarbonate used for the flame headgear. Anybody else notice this?

  4. Forget what I said, the sets are said to be available on June 1st!!

I just noticed that too, it's nice to get some confirmation even if that means I'm going to be super broke by 2nd June

Though £99.99 for Samurai X Cave Chaos... it's a lot of set but also a lot of money :look: Airjitzu Battle Grounds is £49.99. For ease of viewing you can see all the new sets and UK prices here - they're at the bottom.

Now just waiting for Bionicle to be added to the shop listings... at this point you may as well just release it all in the UK at the same time!

  5. Magmar kinda has a Nadakhan vibe without his face mask. Anyone else see it?

It's probably because they both share the same hairpiece in the same colour

Really my only qualm with General Magmar is that his hairpiece is so easily dislodged. I'd avoid picking him up by the ponytail.

  6. Has anybody in the UK spotted any of the Bionicle Summer sets out yet (are they even coming out in June in the UK?). Lots of Summer stuff is creeping into stores in the UK but no sign of any Bionicle. I must admit I'm slightly jealous of the US where they seem to be popping up everywhere now

  7. I've got to ask: are the summer Ninjago sets definitely coming out in June in Europe? I just went to a toy store that had put out quite a lot of June releases today (NK, SW, Super Heroes etc.) but Ninjago wasn't one of them. Neither are they listed on S@H like those other themes are. It's kind of odd, this time last year I managed to get a Master Wu Dragon in TRU but this year there's no sign of the Ninjago sets being put out early. I haven't even seen stockroom boxes labelled with any summer Ninjago sets.

I'll definitely be going to my local LEGO Store first thing on June 1st though so I'll have to have a poke around there and get that wonderful Green NRG Dragon if they do have new Ninjago stuff... I seriously cannot wait to get hold of that set!

  8. Okay, I'll come up with some, though how far the Bionicle team could answer them I don't know, as some of them might be more appropriate to ask LEGO's marketing department!

    - Why in 2015 did Tahu and Gali get fully transparent masks coloured in their respective elemental colours, but the other 4 Toa got blended gold/trans masks instead? (or why weren't Tahu's and Gali's masks blended with gold?)

    - Why did Melum not come with an Ice-themed Shadow Trap?

    - (this is a question that alludes more specifically to the UK Bionicle market) Why were the 2015 Protectors and Small Toa/Skull Villains in 2015 priced at £10 and £13 respectively, while the 2016 Elemental Creatures and Small Toa/Ekimu/Beasts are only priced at £7 and £10 respectively (these are larger too!), despite the US prices remaining pretty much the same between 2015 and 2016?

    - Since Ekimu's 2016 set is being called "EKIMU the Mask Maker", why was Ekimu given a far more generic name in the 2015 set "Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder"? (related question, why was Skull Grinder marketed as just "Skull Grinder" in that set when his name was revealed in the media to be "Kulta"? And why were the Protectors were given generic titles in their sets when they also had specific names?)

    - What made you decide to put Tahu, Kopaka and Onua in the higher set price brackets, and Lewa, Gali and Pohatu in the lower set price brackets, especially since in G1 all six would have been put in the same price bracket?

    - Why have the last two promotional Bionicle polybags (the Villain pack with gold Kulta mask, and the Accessory Pack with cape and MoCr) been restricted to just Russia? How were they intended to be distributed?

    - How much say do you get in how many recolours you can put in a set?

    - The amount of pistons included on the Uniter torso shell attracted much criticism. Why were so many "greebly" detailed pistons put on that one part?

    - Why was Skull Scorpio designed with completely static legs, aside from "it gives you an exclusive recolour of the Chima rib piece in Titanium Metallic"?

    - Why was Skull Slicer's gear mechanisms made so that it swung three arms in one direction and only one in the other direction? Wouldn't a "2-up 2-down" system have sufficed there?

I'm sure I'll think of more but this is what I have for now :sweet:

  9. I changed the price to the real (more expensive...) one in the database. It's weird how London Toy Fair got that wrong. £40 seems way cheap for what you get.

My thoughts too, I noticed that as soon as I saw the US price was $70. Normally a £40 set correlates to a $50-$60 tag in a non-licensed theme, so I was expecting the Tower Carrier to be about £50. £60 now seems a bit too expensive for what you get :look:

Sadly they didn't get Jestro's Volcano Lair's UK price wrong, I was hoping the LTF price was too high but alas, it is indeed £100. Of course, it's a lot of set for the money, but £100 price tags do tend to make me baulk slightly :oh:

Of course though, General Magmar's set seems the best value of the lot in the UK, £35 is super value. And given it's similar in size to Axl's set... I honestly can't see where the extra £25 went in Axl's set. Burnzie correlates to a Hover Horse in terms of build so basically... Axl's Tower Carrier is an extra £25 for a fourth Nexo Power and a slightly larger vehicle and box?

Back on the Black Knight Mech... The King's Mech was £30 in the UK, so I'm hoping the Black Knight is £35 (there's no way it's £30 because King's Mech)... but General Magmar's Siege Machine occupies that price spot so I have a bad feeling it's going to be £40 for us. So while the Siege Machine is more expensive than BKM in the US, the opposite may be true in the UK. I've studied the relationship between US and UK LEGO prices for years and I still don't completely understand it!

  10. Whoa, that just gave me an idea.

What if we got a wave where Jestro steals some Nexo tech (or whatever) and monster-fies some of the vehicles?

    Monster Fortrex? :shrug_oh_well:

That... would be awesome. I'd buy a monster-ified Fortrex in a heartbeat  (NK Fortrex was one of the few sets I didn't feel like buying when I got into Nexo Knights)

I just find it funny that I literally just tweaked my Nexo Display to have Lance and Lavaria having a jousting match on hover horses - and then it turns out The Black Knight Mech has a villain hover horse. I think that alone has suddenly pushed this to a day one purchase for me. Gosh I hope this set is available in June with the rest of the NK wave in the UK (more concrete evidence for NK being released in June in the UK - I just noticed the Amazon UK listings for most of them on Brickset, amongst the already available NK sets. They don't normally get added this early. I can't believe Axl's Tower Carrier is not £40 as said at LTF, but £60 (which is why it's at the bottom because Brickset lists it's RRP at £40). What the hey LEGO, your LTF prices have never been wrong before! Oh this is going to be an expensive summer for me...)

  11. Wow, this is awesome! Loving the mech, and the side builds are so much better than the King's Mech ones too. Is that thing Whiparella is riding basically the closest thing we're going to get to a hover horse for the lava monsters? That will go great for my Nexo Knight hover horse jousting diorama for sure

Really the only thing I'm disappointed with, and it's really a minor thing, is that I would have preferred a squirebot with Robin's heraldry on it, rather than the King's. But that's just me since I already have two King's Squirebots thanks to The King's Mech and the Knights battlepack and just want more Squirebot variety really. Oh, and only one exclusive Nexo Power as far as I can see :look:

  12. I think it's safe to say that Whiparella is in the BKM, as it is the only Nexo Knights set we don't have a picture of unless there's another exclusive out there that we don't know about (which I doubt). Her tail would eliminate her from being a candidate for the fig in the DK book. The only option left would be the exclusive figure that comes with at $75 purchase in August, but once again I don't see a tail showing up in a polybag.

I expect the set to include Robin, Whiparella, a knight (Possibly Aaron, because of his rivalry with Whiparella in the show), and maybe a Chaos Monsterr about the size of Sparkks.

I haven't got much doubt that she is in the BKM, but eh, unless it's confirmed she's in the set then anything is possible  I wouldn't think Whiparella would be an exclusive in the DK book anyway, it wouldn't make much sense to put a lava monster in a Knight-centric book.

Wasn't it rumoured that the bad guys have a substantial vehicle or build in the BKM anyway? If it's the lava monster in the show that doesn't yet have a set representation, that'd really make my day but I don't hold my breath. Still, hopefully we'll get images soon, most of the other exclusives already have theirs now...

  13. It's entirely possible that the new NK wave could be out in June in most places (I definitely know the UK is getting the sets in June, partly thanks to Argos pre-orders for the summer wave listing a June ship date) but not out until August in the US? Like Ninjago perhaps?

The wait for pics of the Black Knight mech are killing me - not to see what the set itself will look like but basically whether or not Whiparella features in that set! Though I will say, it's entirely possible we're not getting this set until August even if everything else releases in June, though that's something that is usually reserved for the large summer Star Wars exclusives so I'm hopeful that's not the case.

On another subject, having played the NK Merlok 2.0 app to completion so far, aside from all the app-only mercenaries you encounter, I am a little disappointed we didn't get an Ultimate Moltor (not Moldron, Moltor  ) or an Ultimate Whiparella set, especially since they both get Ultimate forms in the app. Even though I absolutely despise Ultimate Moltor in the app, he's way too powerful to fight without using Nexo powers! Yet we got an Ultimate Robin who doesn't even have a proper Ultimate form as such in the media.

  14. Then there are all the bits that appeared in sets four months ago, yet still aren't even listed.

Has anybody tried contacting Customer Service to find out why almost all the 2016 parts are completely missing? My OCD is going absolutely bonkers that I can't even easily find out about new parts via Brickset or Rebrickable, and my recent MOC's that use 100% existing PCC's are considered by Rebrickable to use non-existent PCC's (and sometimes parts that are considered to not exist (but they do)! Like the 3M axle with stop) - because TLG has failed to update their parts database. Yeah there's Bricklink but even that isn't completely up to date either. I wouldn't even mind if everything was marked OOS like the parts from last June were, at least they'd be there for reference... that's all I want at the moment :look:

It's not like they don't have them either, I had to request some missing 2016 parts that don't show up on their database back in February and TLG sent them out to me no problem. But I had to email them with element ID's and everything. What if a parent with no prior experience of using BnP has the same problem?

And I know it's not just me who's unimpressed with the incomplete inventories either.

  15. Hnggghh only Amazon? No one's found 'em in physical stores?

I found my copy of the first G2 graphic novel in a physical store (WHSmith, in the UK, don't know about where it might be found in the US), but it took me ages to find that one physical copy in my area and I haven't seen any since. They really do seem scarce in physical stores, I don't like my chances of finding the second graphic novel in a physical store when it's released at the end of April, I don't want to rely on Amazon for it either :sceptic:

  16. Haha yes! I was hoping somebody would make these from the game!

    They look awesome, well done.

These look like Bluerenders, how'd you get the sphere's face?

Indeed. I was surprised nobody beat me to it actually

They are definitely Bluerender renders, including all the spinnies since Bluerender makes it so quick and easy to make them (each one took about an hour and a half). The Magma Clapper's face is one from one of the bloblins from Beast Master's Chariot and was added during post-processing in Photoshop :classic:

  17. Hello!

I may as well post about my latest MOC project here. If you're into Nexo Knights, you may have played the Merlok 2.0 app that accompanies the series. I've been playing it often for a few weeks now and I love the variety of monsters that the game shows. But at the same time I was disappointed that quite a few of the more unique monsters don't exist in sets. I noticed they seemed relatively feasible to build so I set about reverse-engineering some of the monsters from the game. This is the result:

    25769950394_ac2629c013_z.jpg

From left to right, Storm Eye (Spinnie - LXF); Lava Beetle (Spinnie - LXF); Fire Scorpion (Spinnie - LXF); Magma Clapper (Spinnie - LXF)

They are all possible to build in real life (cross-checked through Rebrickable) and I may make instructions for them all at some point. Of course, I tried to recreate them as accurately as possible but ultimately 100% accuracy to the game models proved to be impossible.

So once I'd built the in-game models, I thought I'd have a crack at creating my own magma monsters to fill out my own Book of Monsters bestiary. So I started by creating this dragon, imaginatively I called it Magma Dragon:

    25919255940_f3fc3d6814_z.jpg

    (Spinnie - LXF)

This model uses 100% legitimate PCC's (the slope on the snout finally exists in black! Yay)

NEW: Behold, the lavarang-slinging Flame Wraith, the new monster from the Merlok 2.0 app:

    27677334984_1e65d090c8.jpg

    (Spinnie - LXF)

This guy was extremely tricky just to turn into bricks, let alone a buildable in real life model, so I did kind of forego my "legit PCC's only" rule here in favour of better accuracy. That said, I suppose it's a semi-WIP as I might go back to it later, so I'd appreciate some thoughts and ideas about what pieces or techniques I could apply to make the Flame Wraith both recognisable and buildable in real life :sweet:

This is an ongoing series so I will be creating new magma monsters for it, if you want to see them first, be sure to follow my Flickr page. Also check out the project's dedicated Bricksafe page to make browsing the spinnies linked here much easier.

I'll also be building these in real life at some point because I want to add them to my NK diorama I have planned.

As always, comments and helpful criticism more than welcome. And if there's a certain animal or plant you'd like to see me turn into a buildable magma monster, post here and I'll definitely consider it

  18. So I've got a question about the 2016 Accessory Pack. Whilst making some semi-large Bionicle related orders, I noticed a couple of Russian sellers on Bricklink selling a few of the Accessory Pack (though the prices of them are quite something else... I'm not sure I want to spend £20 on it :look: ). My question is: does anybody know how they may have got this polybag? And if there's any chance that this isn't just another Russia-exclusive polybag that will only be sold in Russia and will be nearly impossible for me to get? (looking at you HF villain polybag from 2014...)

I was semi-hoping that the Hungarian seller that supplied my Bionicle Villain Pack might have been able to get the accessory pack, but seems that's not the case yet.

  19. Thanks for the info on the black knight mech! I was more hoping for a small brick built lava monster instead of a vehicle, but if it's substantial and not just a "throwaway" build like the lava vehicle in King's Mech was, then I can probably get on board with that. As long as the set includes Whiparella and maybe a Spider Globlin or other army-building mook (I would always be grateful for extra Scurriers or Globlins!).

Speaking of lava monsters, has anybody got some good screenshots of the Lava Beetle, Lava Scorpion and Magma Clapper from the Merlok 2.0 app?

  20. So I've been playing around with the Nexo Knights sets and app a lot recently (and got to say, I've fallen in love with it and want to start building an NK diorama), and I really want to do some MOC's of all those large Lava Monsters you see in the app but don't have physical set appearances, like the Lava Beetle, Magma Clapper and Lava Scorpion. Can anyone provide/find some decent stills of those 3 monsters from the app? I can only seem to find one side-on still of the Magma Clapper (and one featuring remnants of a Lava Beetle, which is useless  ) in a Google search.

I do have to wonder about the possibility of getting any of those lava monsters in the as-yet-unrevealed Black Knight Mech though...

  21. The kai polybag is going to be the March promotion in Lego stores and shop@home.

    https://farm2.static..._e64e90a7b3.jpg

I'm really hoping that the Kai Dragon polybag offer is also going to be in the UK/Europe, but guess we're not going to find out until a few days before March at the earliest. And we're probably not going to get the dragon poly promotion either. Sometimes I wish LEGO would go back to their offers being available worldwide at the same time, or at least make the European calendar available at the same time as the US calendar :sadnew:

In other news, I was hoping for no more Serpentine to come out in this wave (and I thought putting Serpentine in the Juniors sets was bad enough)... but of course they just had to slip in a robed Pythor, presumbaly into a set that's going to cost at least £100 that I just have to have. It's almost like LEGO know that I will collect anything Serpentine related so will stick them into the most expensive sets to get me to buy them :look:

  22. Spectrum wise that pic bugs. Why ain't the Weldos and Electroids together?

Otherwise, daum(!) seeing that is tempting me to retry my mega mix max again

I never gave the display that much thought actually! They're arranged in the order that the tribes came out, that's why the Weldos and Electroids aren't together here

I will admit that, as they are, they're already crammed in too much. I've already had to move all the Nixels off that shelf. I assure you that all 54 Mixels are there, even if a few of them are barely visible.

  23. Same here! I'm not always fond on every one but they're so silly and cheap I've got every one of them so far!

I'm the same here too. I tend to buy the entire series all at once which sometimes makes for an interesting checkout sequence

Speaking of which, for what it's worth, my local Tesco had a fresh box of Series 7 Mixels out on the shelf! I would have probably bought them all if it weren't for a little problem that I have:

    mixels_series_1_to_6.jpg

I've actually run out of shelf space for Mixels and I need to put up a new shelf for them before I get the new series!
