LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Found the source of the pictures for 75191 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive, the Hong Kong TRU website. http://www.toysrus.com.hk/www.toysrus.com.hk/lego/ The price is the same as the initial price (website has it listed for a discounted price but lists the initial price) for 75156 Krennic's Shuttle from last year, which was $89,99 USD, $119.99 CAN, 84.99 Pounds, 99,99 Euros (in Germany and France). Keep in mind that price may not translate exactly the same as it did with Krennic's Shuttle but it is at least a whole lot better than $130.

You might want to take that back, the price for both the Resistance Troop Transport and Battle of Takodana are set at retail price at Target, though I do agree that Battle of Takodana is too expensive. Also the prices for the rumored summer sets seem too expensive, the only set that makes sense in my mind, for its price, is the Clone Turbo Tank. I also want to note that the cheapest set is $70, if one excludes the Podracer which doesn't seem to have a concrete price, which is way to high for Lego's main market.

JANGBRiCKS posted a video on YouTube of the US January 2016 catalog and it only showcases the first and second wave The Force Awakens sets. It excludes both microfighters even though the First Order Snowspeeder microfighter is out in the wild and it is listed on Shop@Home for a January 1st release date. This means that either that Lego wants to focus on its major money maker at the moment so they decided to exclude the rest of the line up from the catalog and they are still releasing everything else on January 1st or The Force Awakens sets are the only sets that will release on January 1st and rest of the line up will be delayed to a later date. Based on my last post on page 134, Lego did showcase the rest of the Nexo Knight sets and the Batman vs. Superman sets in this catalog so when these sets (non-Force Awakens sets) will be released it anyone's guess at this point. (Again, references to other themes it to support my point and is posted on this thread for convenience and release dates of Lego Star Wars sets have been mentioned on Pictures and Rumors forums in the past)

I have been looking at Lego Shop@Home for multiple countries daily for the past couple of weeks, while this could be possible, I don't think that the winter sets will (sans The Force Awakens sets) be delayed to late January or February. The European Shop@Home sites didn't list The Force Awakens sets, even though the other sets were listed, until about a week ago when they appear on North American Shop@Home sites days beforehand. The Resistance X-Wing Microfighter didn't appear on European sites until a few days ago. While this is totally off topic, the NEXO Knights sets are not listed on the North American sites while I have seen them in stores in my area. Also, the Batman vs. Superman sets are also not listed but they are out in the wild. It is likely that North American sites have not been updated and all sets may be released on January 1st. I also remember in 2012, only the Malevolence was listed before its release date on North American sites. (References to other themes are stated to support my point) Edit 12/28/15: NEXO Knights sets appeared on North American Shop@Home sites today, but only 6 sets out of 18 Lego is releasing were put online. There is still a strong chance that Lego is releasing all winter 2016 sets on January 1st.

The Wookie Gunship has really changed my outlook on the Rebels line (now I have to kill my wallet).

Episode VII sets would probably not come out until November or December 2015 since the film will be released in December.

That is true. Posters included with AT-AT and ISD only show minifigures from sets already released. The lack of a second exclusive set is probably the result of the large winter wave this year.

Thanks, my eyes are horrible at reading small things.

$89.99 for the MTT is not bad considering it is smaller than the last one and is $10 less. I am just curious to find out how many pieces it has. I am only buying the sets that are relative to the movies (time to drain those VIP points that expire soon). I think the Rebels sets would be good for children. Not for Star Wars fans who got into Lego with the Clone Wars like myself. Thank God Rebels is a logical focal point for next year. It will save money.

Try 300. And the motorized AT-AT was technically a UCS AT-AT.

They probably put the sets on the website so they could promote the new sets to try and drew people into their store when they are released over other retailers.

Toys R Us has recently added 75043 AT-AP on their website with a price tag of $59.99. I think this is a great price. This is not available for sale online like the other sets. Chances are if you find this in Toys R Us stores you would have to pay at least $64.99. Anyways I was shocked to see this price tag as it would most likely be the official Lego Store and Lego Shop at Home price. They only set we still don't have a price for yet is the Tri-Fighter because we can't assume the price based off a similar set(s) and it is not available at Toys R Us because it is an exclusive. http://www.toysrus.c...rentPage=search

Lego has really been unpredictable with their information, first they announce that the winter wave would be released in March, then January, March again, and now they are going to be released in TRU stores within a week. Just wait until this summer, in fact, the last summer wave was supposed to be released in June but was delayed until August, until they released them in Lego Stores a week early. This is annoying.

There is something off about this because Lego would have told us via their website or catalog that these sets are coming out late just like they did for the winter wave of 2012 and the summer wave of 2013. They informed us about a month before they were released. Thus far we have received nothing, though the majority of markets in Europe have had these sets for sale for weeks, again fitting this pattern. I am starting to think that we all should have taken the first bit of information of the AT-AP from Comic-Con more seriously. No news on the Summer sets thus far. I am starting to believe it would be very light. Lego probably expected to release Episode VII sets in the summer wave of next year until the movie was delayed to December. That puts Lego with a wave of air space in which they most likely have nothing for. They are mostly likely spreading would three waves worth of sets into four waves. That might explain the amount of sets this wave because Lego was trying to release the remaining sets they wanted to and introduce the Rebels line at the same time. Either the next wave is going to be purely Rebels, with explains how secretive the Lego group is about leaking anything about this, or is going to be a few larger sets. Of course their will be an Advent Calendar. Those things sell like hot cakes. Episode III is the most likely theme of the next calendar.

I just received my copy of the January 2014 Catalog and it has absolutely no mention of any 2014 set including the Microfighters. They have also neglected several other themes including half of the DC Super Heroes line, Chima, and Hero Factory. This only leads me to conclude that Lego is holding off all of these releases for March for the United States and Canada. This conclusion is based off a review of a 2014 Hero Factory set I read that said that the Hero Factory line would no see a release until March, in fact it was on Eurobricks if you want to read it. Since Star Wars is commonly grouped with both Chima and Hero Factory in terms of release, it is a safe assumption that March is the ideal time we will be seeing these sets this year. This is not the only strange thing we have seen thus far. May I mention that we have sen no rumor list of the summer sets yet when the latest we would have seen them would have been three weeks ago. Sorry for this disappointing update. Note that the use of the names of other themes is for my reasoning on this matter and don't shoot the messenger.
