I've got an odd request... I'd like to see the Minifigures series III samurai with his armor removed, head replaced by a random female head and wearing the black ponytail hairpiece from 3187 Butterfly Beauty Shop. I'd be very grateful if someone could post a pic... Not sure if it fits here, but I guess it's ok since I'm particularly interested in the hairpiece.

MOC Minifig Scale Scorpenek Annihilator Droid
Corydoras replied to Rune Haako's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've got a feeling the droid is too high and it's legs are too small. Nice attempt anyway! -
There was two shurikens, right? Maybe only one of them transformed and that's why the vehicle is so small compared to the other ones?

This is OUTSTANDING. As a builder constantly trying to create something based on asian architecture myself (without success), I nearly came seeing this MOC. I must say I'm surprised how well the bottom part of Elisabeth's dress works with the Samurai torso...

Isn't it Vader, not "Vador"?

Wait, what? I thought the booster packs are coming out in April, at least here in Poland... But since they are already available in the US...
-
Which site?

Wait, what? The Tokugawa shogunate, for example, hired many, many ninjas to guard the shogun's castle. They would disguise themselves as gardeners or servants and work as top secret personal bodyguards.

Stop unnecessarily bumping old threads...

Ahem... We'll see them in the next wave (4) in summer 2012? The sword of fire first appeared in the 2nd wave, remember?
-
The vehicles... Maybe Lord Garmadon let the ninjas use the Underworld skellie technology so they could build those things?

I love the booster packs - they look like Collectable Minifigures (little green bags) packed with cards and some weapons! The kendo helmets look kinda cool, though they remind me of hockey player helmets... And the "shredder" one is actually a classy, more accurate samurai helmet with new chrome horns and a visor! If I'm not mistaken the "Samurai" minifigure is Nya dressed in full armor, with said samurai helmet and visor covering her mouth (if it's not Nya, it's definitely a new female character)! Lots of new weapons. The Ninja ship is fantastic, with a red dragon head (the same as in the Ice Dragon, Lightning Dragon and Fire Temple sets) serving as a bow figure, and apparently can switch from "water" to flying mode! Lloyd Garmadon has a cape and a hood and seems to be a necromancer-like figure, just like his father. On the other hand, the snakeman are so ugly they make me feel sick. Possibly the most hideous minifigures ever made! Their face prints are kinda scary for little kids. Their headgear is supposed to imitate a cobra-like hood, but in my opinion it doesn't look right. The rest of the sets has nothing to do with real ninjas - seriously, wtf? cars, jet planes, motorcycles that look like a crossbreed between Alpha Team and Exo-Force. The only one worth buying, aside from the Ninja Airship, is the little Venomari Shrine - it has a cool new Zane and at least 6 of the new wall bricks.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Corydoras replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I assure you that TLG already has the sets boxed and ready for sale. The company is too serious to care about any comments posted here on EB. -
Yup, the guns have a clip holding what appears to be a syringe from the Collectable Minifigures series I! The minifigs themselves may be just prelim designs, but they all look the same (except for the Indiana Jones-like guy, who has a dk tan fedora). They all wear black aviator cap, some of them have the face of the cop from Collectable Minifigs series II. That's why I said the vehicles have a Jurassic Park vibe to them - they sport the distinct "red tiger stripes on yellow" pattern. The patterns are stickers, I'm afraid. The helicopter and the plane also feature a logo that looks suspiciously close to the Jurassic Park one - a black T-rex head inside a yellow circle. If I was Steven Spielberg, I would definitely sue LEGO, lol There are 7 sets and 5888 is definitely my favourite.

Just saw the preliminary pics... This theme looks exactly like the old one (Dino 2010) - dinosaurs vs armed vehicles. It seems to be a bit more influenced by Juassic Park movies, though. Sadly, the dinosaurs are one pieces, but have moving limbs and heads. It looks like their lower jaws can move, too. They are amazingly detailed and colorful, with lots of patterns like stripes and spots making them look realistic. The vehicles are mostly yellow with some red. New guns! The minifigs are mostly military-like guys we saw in Dino 2010. They look plain, nothing special if you ask me. 5882 - a buggy vs. a dk tan celophysis 5883 - a green (sand green?)/tan pterodactyle (or, to be more precise, a pteranodon), a lookout tower with a fish on an extended pole to lure said pteranodon and an Indiana Jones-like minifig (I may be wrong, but his face reminds me of Jake Raines!) 5884 - an ATV vs. a very vicious looking green (sand green?) raptor 5885 - a weird looking helicopter chasing a red T-rex 5886 - an odd truck-like vehicle hunting a triceratops 5888 - a really cool giant plane resembling the one from Adventurers Dino Island, a small boat and a pteranodon (the same as in 5883) There's also the biggest set, a giant high-security compound, but I couldn't get a good look at it. It has a massive gate and seems to feature a green T-rex and a brown raptor.

Hm, hm... If there are five snake staffs (and presumably five different snakemen) it would be logical to introduce a fifth (green) ninja - ya know, to keep the balance between good and evil. Not so sure if it's really an upgrade or a completely new character.

REVIEW: 30080 Ninja Glider
Corydoras replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This rather cool little set was also available in Poland with Cartoon Network magazine. The price we had to pay for the magazine + glider was even lower than for a regular impulse and they had loads of them, so I managed to get two! -
I mean, he kind of disappeared when he got hold of all the golden weapons. Lord Garmadon said Samukai was too weak to handle them all at once or something like that.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Corydoras replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They are clone trooper accessories - from left to right: a helmet visor, floodlight (for the helmet), a pauldron and a kama (kind of a "skirt", used for leg protection). I guess Boba can use them as well. -

I thought this board is for adults only: In case you don't remember, the line above shows during the registration process. What's the point of having such information if it is being ignored? Don't blame me for thinking Eurobricks is an AFOL-oriented message board, I swear I didn't expect to meet a kid aged 12 here. In Poland we have an AFOL site that's very strict about age - only people above 18 are allowed to register; on the other hand, we also have a separate message board exclusively for teenagers. Everyone follows the rules and it's always clear whether I'm talking to an adult or a kid.

Yay! Let's just casually put some random pieces on a baseplate and call it a MOC. Sorry if I'm a bit too rough, but this is something a 3 year old would make.

New Ninjago sets available in my local store in Poland. Unfortunately, about half of them is already sold out. They ran out of the Blacksmith, which I wanted so badly...

I'm totally in love with Nya minifigure! She looks even better than on the boxart. Her double-sided face is very pretty and I like the chinese dress printing on her legs and torso. I'm not sure what the daggers are meant to be - lego.com says they are sai, but they look more like ridiculously oversized kunai. If they had put the new hilts instead of the old ones, the daggers would have been 100% oversized kunai.
