I ordered "silver metallic" helmets from PAB, but they seem to be different from what BL lists as "metallic silver." The ones from PAB seem to be a flat silver. Why is there this difference in description and what does Lego call BL's "metallic silver?"
(For the record, the silver metallic parts go for $0.34 each whereas the BL metallic silver goes for $4 each, so I'd like to know how to tell the difference.)
Ok, I can comprehend the storage requirements for 20,000 minifigs and 1,000 baseplates.
What I don't understand is 2,500 square meters (almost 27,000 square feet). Do you have pics?
I imagine 15,000 SW minifigs would cost a lot more than $15,000.
I have around 50,000 minifigs, as I have a large collection of Castle, Space, and Pirate was well. Bought the house next door to solve the storage problem.
I agree. It's quite impressive and I enjoy looking at it.
I've often debated whether to go movie accurate (which is about 1,000 minifigs) or go bonkers and lay down 5,000 minifigs. One day. . .
This year only kids got to play the trivia contest at LLCA. And only the kids that actually won the trivia contest got the minifigs. The rest got popcorn. The questions were pretty challenging for kids. They really had to know the movies to get the right answers. So only a handful of kids got minifigs this year compared to years past when they gave out the exclusives like candy.
They only gave them to volunteers and kids who won the trivia contest. 5-8 kids won each session and there were four sessions each day. About 30 volunteers. So about 100 of these are out there
