  1. "The names don't ring any bells. I almost expected a Daria, the woman I talked to at port. Like sending something to her as an emergency when things go sideways. As Merei said, let's search the room for supplies."
  2. "I'm not saying we wait for authorities, let's just not contaminate anything, just in case we get caught here."
  3. "oof!" Varen grunts as he tries the door. When Zaria gets it open, he gives her a thumbs up. Varen swallows hard at the sick bay. He takes a breath. And then another. He fights the urge to bring his hand up to cover his face from the smell. Rarely had he ever done that back when he was a lawyer and then a fixer. Crime and bloody scenes were part of the job. This was unlike anything he ever saw. He tells himself that it would be respectful to not grimace, respectful to the deceased. They wouldn't want to be remembered as a terrible smell, right? "Ok everyone. I know we all know," he starts, "but I'm going to say it out loud for all of us. This is an active crime scene, at least until it's determined it's an accident or something else. Let's try not to disturb the victims. Did anyone bring gloves?" Varen cautiously steps in to the sick bay.
  4. "We're looking clear down the hall." He turns to Zaria and slings his rifle. "Here, let's try this fragile hacking chip. If that doens't work, I'll try to force the door with strength too."
  5. Duke Robert nodded at Brickford's statement. "I must say, gentlemen, I've always heard a good negotiation is when both sides are dissatisfied. This meeting may prove the exception to the rule." He quickly turned to his nephew. "Don't." "Unless my colleagues Bishop Francois or Colonel Beauchamp have anything to add, I think we are done here. We shall rendezvous on El Oleonda for our next meeting." If nobody has anything else to say, the Oleander delegation gets up to leave. Emile grits his teeth and goes to the Corrington delegation. "I say this as calmly and politely as I can. I... regret... my choice of words earlier. I understand not all of you are bad, and we were on opposite sides of a war. I... am... willing to bury the hatchet to ensure the success of this endeavor we are to go on." [OOC] I think the ball now is in the court of, well, the Court. We'll take it from here and get some new stuff hopefully soon.
  6. Going off the wacky thing, I'd love if we had more wacky games again. No offense to Bob, he's a great host and I love playing his games, but I'd love a new off-the-wall game/scenario.
  7. Varen grimaces at the sight of the arm and crushed crewmember. "I'm not getting a good feeling about this." He checks back down the hall where they came from. "I'll keep watch," Varen says to the others, keeping his weapon ready in case someone--or something--came down the hall for them.
  8. "Works for me." Varen brings his rifle to low ready position and steps to the back of the group.
  9. "Yeah. I'm not sure if I want to be right in finding survivors or not. If they're in bad shape, we're going to be slowed down against whoever or whatever caused this. If they're dead, well, that's that. If there are survivors, I hope they're able to move." "I concur on the power situation."
  10. "Well I'm relieved we cleared up that confusion." Varen chuckles and takes a swig from his flask. "Alright so we tell them not to shoot, or Chiron." He looks at the map more closely. "May I suggest we try to hit the sick bay first? hopefuloly some survivors are there and can give us the rundown."
  11. If we want a lynch so badly... Vote: Geoff (Kotz) No, I'm kidding. Unvote: Geoff (KotZ) I honestly think Joyce is the scum. Joyce is kind of poking and has been going head to head with Susan constantly. Arguing back and forth without too much there. Vote: Joyce (jimmynick)
  12. Sorry, I was sleeping off dinner. It's got to be Joyce. There's no other way around it. I know we need a lynch today, but I'm not scum.
  13. Varen quickly checks himself for injuries. Pleased to see none, he says, "I'm all good here. As Kirwin asked, will there be anything to worry about? Gas leak possibilities? Is there any codeword we can give survivors to let them know we are friendly and not some space pirates?"
  14. I know that this is a fairly quiet game, but this post just screams scum trying to defend themselves for some reason to me.
  15. I'm gonna agree with Susan on this one. She's been pretty active and not just popping in when somebody gets killed like Joyce stated. I still don't trust either of them. That being said... Vote: Joyce (jimmynick) We need a lynch.
  16. Varen explores D5 and then moves to E5.
  17. "I must agree with Beauchamp here." The duke's tone was firm. "We will try this man ourselves. Before any sentence is carried out, I do grant you permission to try him in your own courts, as this also involves you. Does this seem fair, gentlemen?" "I am pleased you all agree this territory disputed with the Lotii are rightfully Oleon's. Allowing us to expand our colony on the island certainly is ample incentive for us to work with you." The duke thought a moment. "Yes, we agree to allowing your forces temporary quarter on the island. I must be clear though, you may not force your forces into our subject's homes. We would prefer camps outside of settlements. Remember, we are working together on this, and the hegemony of Oleander culture must not be corrupted. I would hope you would ask the same of us, if the roles were reversed. And even more importantly, we ask that the WTC be not involved. in settlements of ours. I understand we are trying to bury the hatchet, but please understand there are still some hostile feelings between our nations. And we want this endeavor to go smoothly." "As for the harbor and allowing us to move our ships and troops around, that is agreeable with us." "Now gentlemen, if all these terms are agreeable, I say we need to pull out our maps and discuss our plan of action."
  18. Because an early mislynch screws us over hard. Two Days is much worse. Three days and we're done for, especially with two town members having been killed. I didn't think there was much more to follow up on. I don't think Susan is scum truly. It's a possibility of course but I don't think she's scum. Ash I figured could be. Playstyle he can barely blip post count, but this is a very quiet game on his end.
  19. Susan/Joyce scum team? Although Susan Sarandon does seem new. Vote: Ash (Tariq J) Inactivity doesn't mean he's scum, but it's unusual for him. Different playstyle?
  20. Maybe trying to alter the meta? Ash doing that? Ah gee, me?
  21. OOC: Sorry this completely slipped my mind the past few days. "Yup, on it."
