Brickadeer Posted May 20, 2012 (edited) Wasteland is a game I played a long time ago. Yesterday, I was pretty surprised that Wasteland 2 will actually be made, and that it will be made by the same guys that made Wasteland. Among them are Brian Fargo (Founder of Interplay) and Michael A. Stackpole. Since I assume that the project is of interest for other members of the AFOL community as well (who are equally unaware of the project as I was), I decided to make this post. If anyone wants to read about the project, I recommend the following links: Brian Fargo's Wasteland 2 Blog Michael A. Stackpole about Wasteland 2 Wikipedia article inExile Forum Personally, I'm rather curious about what kind of game they'll make. I like post-nuclear war RPG's, and I think that Wasteland 2 has the potential to become (storywise) a really, really great game. Buckshot Posted May 20, 2012 That IS good news! I hadn't heard anything about this, either. It'll be interesting to see the end result; wonder how it'll compare to the current Fallout franchise.

I think it'll be quite different from Fallout 3: For Wasteland 2, with the help of our Wasteland fans we decided to keep the focus on story and character, retaining the party-based and turn-based mechanics. The top down POV would remain as well but we would go with a full 3D render to bring it into the modern graphics era. Source I played Fallout 2, but not Fallout 3, so I don't know which one had the better story. Edited May 20, 2012 by Brickadeer
