Layout: Harbor Cargo Terminal

Recommended Posts

That police boat is a monster. When the cargo ships in the harbour are dwarfed by a police boat, you know something's off with the proportions... :)

Got some shiny new 7994 to expand my little Harbor of Niederweningen:

Just bevore the Entrance Signal lies Niederweningen Dorf, the commuter train is just leaving for Niederweningen Hafen, passing a heavy cargo shunter

This small passenger station even has a little depot for the heavy shunters or other railbound transportation vehicles (Featering imaginary overhead wires ^^):

Lets get a look at the existing facilities, which handle open goods and stuff and junk:

Loading, unloading, the upgraded ships and open wagons:

Now let me introduce you the new container terminal, handles standard 8 and 16 stud containers:

Here an overview of the entire area:

The main part measures 13 by 5 base plates, additional 8-10 required for practical shunting.

That is fantastic! There's so much going on wherever you look. There's, what seems to be, a whole lot of track in the background of the pictures just waiting to be used. What do you think you'll be adding next? I can't wait to find out.

I am curious as to how you did the overhead crane, because I believe I have all the parts, but I wanted to see if there was anything I might need to get that was a specialty item. I have plans on turning it into a container crane, so if you have any ideas to make it better, or how something might adversely effect the workings of the crane, please let me know. Thank you so much.
