You've got a roll to the ocean and some depth of field happening. But what happens next? Are there anymore photos? Or is this it? Quote

It's interesting to see how the build evolves from start to finish. Well, I wanted to build a scene around this boat : This was my starting point : you can also see the net technique for water. I wanted a minifigscale, a midi scale on the left and a micro scale on the horizon. I did some test shots without proper lighting just to see if the forced perspective worked like I wanted to. It is really relying on it. And this is the whole thing from above without proper angle. losing its magic pretty fast :p Edited March 21, 2023 by Servertijd Quote

But two questions remain: What kind of camera did you use to achieve that glorious depth of field? Which software did you use to edit the background and apply the finishing touches? Quote
NOD Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 (edited) Very beautiful! The rowing boat is very well built and the waves in the water look fantastic. Thanks for the additional photos. Edited March 21, 2023 by NOD Quote
Marooned Marin Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 Nice looking row boat, and excellent photo! Thank you for sharing the behind scenes images. Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Great photo, well-deserved frontpage entry. Heel mooi! Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 How could i miss this moc? It is so so good. The boat, the minifigs, the islands, the perspective - love it Will be my wallpaper on my PC for all times now Quote
Bodi Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Nice photo, I like the boat, a very inspiring work. Quote
Stoertebricker Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 First, this epic MOC shows that small is sometimes better! Relly great scene especially with the net technique for the waves. Second, the forced Perspektive is just perfect. Imagine, how all the MOCs in this forum would look with such a great background, ocean around an even some islands or harbour in the back. Unfortunately this is close to impossible due to the sizes. I even have problems to get a white background for a foto of a big ship… really great build, probably we get one with a small sailboat and the same perspective? Quote
Krol Zmija Sebastian Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Pleasent looking waves, I'd of liked seeing a wake, too. Quote
Woody Orsat Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 (edited) Excellent photo, nice looking row boat, wave effect look fantastic. Islands around look great! All in all, very nice scenery! Edited April 2, 2023 by Woody Orsat Quote
Vdog Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Looks stunning. What part did you use to connect the sides to the bottom of the boat at that angle? Quote
Crazy bricks Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Looks very idilic - love the depth of the shot too! Quote
