It's interesting to see how the build evolves from start to finish.

Well, I wanted to build a scene around this boat : This was my starting point : you can also see the net technique for water. I wanted a minifigscale, a midi scale on the left and a micro scale on the horizon. I did some test shots without proper lighting just to see if the forced perspective worked like I wanted to. It is really relying on it. And this is the whole thing from above without proper angle. losing its magic pretty fast :p Edited March 21 by Servertijd

But two questions remain: What kind of camera did you use to achieve that glorious depth of field? Which software did you use to edit the background and apply the finishing touches? Yperio_Bricks Posted March 29 How could i miss this moc? It is so so good. The boat, the minifigs, the islands, the perspective - love it Will be my wallpaper on my PC for all times now
Bodi Posted March 30 Nice photo, I like the boat, a very inspiring work.
Stoertebricker Posted March 30 First, this epic MOC shows that small is sometimes better! Relly great scene especially with the net technique for the waves. Second, the forced Perspektive is just perfect. Imagine, how all the MOCs in this forum would look with such a great background, ocean around an even some islands or harbour in the back. Unfortunately this is close to impossible due to the sizes. I even have problems to get a white background for a foto of a big ship… really great build, probably we get one with a small sailboat and the same perspective?
