Something like MLCAD buffers in LeoCAD ?

I'm new to the LEGO CAD world.

The LDRaw site recommends LeoCAD versus other alternatives. I've been playing with MLCAD and LeoCAD, I'm far more productive with LeoCAD but I miss the buffer functions of MLCAD. Can I do something similar with LeoCAD?

Another question, what is the "add key" button for in LeoCAD, I can't find any reference to it.

AFAIK buffer exchange is not supported in LeoCAD. You might want to have a try with LDCad, even more powerful (connectivity, flexible parts, dimensions/angle measurements) than LeoCAD. It also supports buffer exchange. http://www.melkert.net/LDCad
