The deployed angle looks great, but from just these two pictures, I can't tell what you've done.

Here is a close up of the Technic hinge.

I built a Technic frame inside the rear of the hull, which uses 4 pairs of the 6M FlexJoint hinges to hold the wings on. This means the wings can lock into several different angles. Hope that helps to describe what I did a bit better :)
