R21 Posted October 11, 2014 Hi, been lurking for quite a while recently started collecting lego after 30 years in the dark ages....have all the modulars now except CC and FB and have really enjoyed building them but thought I'd try my hand at a modified Town Hall Only built the ground floor so far and still undecided about the interior - thinking an official type room on the right for weddings and other events and really want to add a grand staircase but still working on ideas for that. Here are some pics, be interested to hear people thoughts and ideas on how to progress
Roger_Smith Posted October 11, 2014 Looks promising. The protuding extensions of the front facade to either side of the original build alreyd give it a much more dynamic and grander feel.
lightningtiger Posted October 11, 2014 Great looking W-I-P there 'R21', are you going to have an interior and how tall is it going to be ? Brick On 'R21' !
R21 Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks for the comments, I think the extension on the front facade add a lot to the set, I also think it looks grander and more what a TH should be. I've not decided on an interior yet, it will have something just need to work on some ideas but any suggestions are welcome. Its going to be three floors like the original, don't have enough bricks to make it larger at the moment plus a fourth floor might make it look too tall. I've completed the 2nd floor exterior, wanted to add more windows to the sides but need to buy some
ItsaBRICKS Posted October 14, 2014 Looking great so far. I echo the others' sentiments about the protuding extension's effect on the building. Bravo!
