Edwin Korstanje Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 For LEGO WORLD 2014 at oktober in the Netherlands i need some new mocs , the Smit Cheetah was the first one of a bounce with new ships. The second one is a rebuild of a older moc, but than in the smaller scale 1/87 an is the RPA 15. The wheelhouse is almost ready at some smal details. I hope you will like the smal scale. Greets Edwin. Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 So far so good :) You plan to use beams or the curved pieces? Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 Because of the commision work this year and the huge amount of systeem Lego parts i have in stok are al the moc´s build in studded. Next year i have planed one ore two big studless ships. Quote

Edwin Korstanje Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Some update. I started with the hull and is complete build in SNOT and that´s new for me. Also the limited avalible slopes in dark blue makes it a lot more difficault to build . I stil hope you wil like the progres. Quote
grum64 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 WOW! It's looking to be another in your long line of beautiful constructions. Can't wait to see it completed. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I am not a huge fan of the two different colours (yellow and dark blue) of slopes and tiles at the top of the deck rail. Quote
D3K Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 It looks astonishing! Is it going to be a "waterline" model, or are you going to model the entire hull under the water as well? Quote

Best Alasdair, The real RPA 15 have a two color fender and the inside is yellow and the outside dark blue. It looks astonishing! Is it going to be a "waterline" model, or are you going to model the entire hull under the water as well? Thanks D3K, It´s a waterline model and is one of more ships i am building for a layout at Legoworld 2014. Edited July 15, 2014 by VFracingteam Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Best Alasdair, The real RPA 15 have a two color fender and the inside is yellow and the outside dark blue. Yeb true but you should not be able to see the colour seam, you could try using some ridged hose to hide it. Quote
Jim Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 That looks really promising. I would love to build me a copy when you are done Quote

Zerobricks Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 So pretty :) I kind of miss all the beams though. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 So pretty :) I kind of miss all the beams though. Thanks Zblj. I miss also the beams and pins, but in this smal scale is systeem build for me the only way . Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 The mini RPA 15 is almost ready, only add some small changes at the stern and make some stickers and water display. Because of the small scale and the hull and deks complete build in SNOT(for me the first time) it whas not a easy to build and hope you like it. Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 How did you attach those 1x8 plates by sides? Looks awesome, I love the small details like hydraulics rams and antennas. Quote
