Here's my latest model: Lake Point Tower in Chicago.

Roughly 1/650th scale. This curving building is one of my personal favorites from the Windy City.

The model is about 33cm in height and uses over 1300 trans-black elements for the windows.

For reference here is a picture I took of the tower a few years ago.

Wow! The curved glass walls are so smooth, and the pillars that seem to hold the building up look nice as well. The 4x4 circular brick on top looks like an easy way out compared to everything else. Is there a better solution to get that shape right?

I would love to add this to my collection of great architecture on Pinterest, but it looks like your Flickr settings are blocking sharing. Let me know if you are able to change that so I can help others find your great work!

my Pinterest Architecture boards: http://www.pinterest.com/tomalphin/

I have no idea how to make that work. My Flickr settings say sharing is enabled, but all my pics are on the all rights reserved copyright level. Maybe that's the issue.

The same content is available on http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=545188 or http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/391512. Maybe those would work.

took a look at your pinterest board, have to say the mid 21st century Cali House is amazing, that is my favorite of what I saw, again would buy that in a heartbeat, the one from dwell and also from davekaleta are also amazing. I agree Spencer's tower should be shown to a lot more folks if possible, that is why I like the architecture line so much, guys like y'all that can do these MOC's and have such high quality, wish I was that good and creative

Thanks for the other links Spencer. You are a really accomplished LEGO builder (I've seen some of your other work) and this is a great addition!

I added it to my Pinterest board here: http://www.pinterest...06694894563784/

How exactly did you make that inner curve? Maybe I'm just rusty, but I can't quite tell how it's accomplished just by looking at it.

This such a difficult shaping of a building to get done, and you did it fantastically. I've been to Chicago many times and I know this building so well, it's instantly recognizable. Good work! :classic:
