Hooking up a 9398 Technic truck to a NXT brick

Hello everyone! I'm new here, and this seems like a nice, mature forum :).

So basically, I'm attempting to connect all the motors found in the 9398 truck to a Mindstorms NXT brick.

I've succesfully done so with the DC motors, and I'm thinking how to proceed with the servomotor.

If anyone has any experience with this sort of stuff, it'd be nice if you could check out my more in depth thread on the RobotC forums: http://www.robotc.ne...p=30354#p30354.

Regardless if I get any help, I'll probably try it tomorrow anyways, because experimenting is fun!

As far as I know servo requires power AND control lines for electronics, so you need to use all 4 wires.

Definitely, I'm gonna cook up something basic with the sonar first, and then make something (hopefully) awesome with my nxt cam v4.

Aren't there adapter cables for this? so you dont need to cut anything.

there is a long way round, but it would not work with the servo

Yes there are, but that's not nearly as fun as cutting the cables and soldering them together :D.
