We still need to see how things will work out. No definitive rules, decisions, game plan yet. We'll see how things progress. Quote

That is very cute :) I don't think it should be a case of trying to be a pro builder or not as it depends who you are comparing yourself too. In some circles such as our local LEGO club I am one of the better Technic builders yet on here I am no where near that level due to the larger pool of talent on here and the much higher standards. You have to earn it.so al of the less skilled builders as myself. Keep on building , learning and one day maybe you will get a spot in the Hall. Technic isn't gaining enough interest anyway, why missing interesting models just because Sheepo has a model in the same month, or why posting a lame model, just because it's the best in that month? We just need more active Technic posting on the Frontpage. I haven't seen much Technic there. Technic models need more attention. See Cuusoo, see Facebook for example (I wrote to a shop active on FB once that they never post any Technic models. The answer was "I haven't seen a good Technic model in the last years" What The Flying F*ck) I don't know how big the traffic here on Eurobricks is, but maybe Eurobricks could do something about this attention with some Frontpaging. (That's a Monty Python reference for those who don't know) Hahaha! Must admit, I don't have any interest in the rest of the forum and I only ever visit the Technic area. I was going to start a topic the other day, but it wasn't specifically technic related, then I realised that I should start it in the main forum area, so I didn't bother. It's enough to try and "get to know" the techinic folks so as to have banter etc, never mind all the others out there in EB land! As for MoM, I think that there's the potential for it to get out of hand. Keeping it simple is good. One rule - if it's a good MOC then it goes on the frontpage (which is a good showcase for the talents of the folk in the Technic area) regardless of who built it . Then perhaps have a look at something else (maybe just in the technic area) for the up and comers. I don't see this as being a regular monthly thing as there's not going to be a regular turnover of newbies who are making progress, so it's more likely to be an ad hoc thing. Quote

Maybe the general idea is just to get more focus on good MOCs each month, and push some more to the frontpage, for which you get awarded the MoM tag (unless you want to exclude the Pro ones, who will just have a Pro tag I assume?). This way if there are more than one great MOC in that month, both people can still "win"? May compensate for slow months as well if more get featured in preceeding/proceeding months. Quote
