Bricksonwheels Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I love the Sons of Anarchy TV series. I've seen all seasons so far, and love the bikes used in the show. Most of them are California style tricked out Dyna Glides, but so now and then clubmembers like Jax and Bobby are seen on my favorite bike of the show, a blackened Street Glide. This is my version of it in 1:10 scale build in lego's. As usual a lot of custom chromed bricks, electroplated industrially. Quote

Jim Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 What's with all the motorcycles on Eurobricks lately? Not complaining though, this one is gorgeous as well. Lovely usage of chrome. I think it's time for a motor bike collection topic This is a very detailed model. Love the chrome parts. Hope to see this next week! Quote
Lakop Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 brilliant! I'm looking to do a motorbike. A harley is just what we need. There was a harley davidson centre near me so I saw, and still see, them at weekends. They pass through in droves. H Quote

Jonsson Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Hands down the most awesome bike made in Lego, even though the Dyna Glide is not a favourit...:) The details are just stunning. My hat is off sir! Edited October 7, 2013 by Jonsson Quote
Milan Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Again a good one, but I like your HD Red Baron even more. They are similar, but red one is nicer for me. Quote

CP5670 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Awesome Harley. The chrome really makes the engine pop out and look very detailed due to the reflections. Quote

rollermonkey Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I thought I understood electroplating, but how do you do plastic? Quote
jantjeuh Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) I thought I understood electroplating, but how do you do plastic? Explained here. Basically a number of steps are required to add a conductive layer to the plastic, following which regular electroplating can be used to add a chrome finish. Edited July 16, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote
rollermonkey Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Huh. That's very interesting how they figured out a way to do that! Quote
