Me too. After an overload of yellow including 42009 and 42006 this year, I'd vote for orange as main color on construction machine sets for a while.

I recently checked out the 8052 Container Truck on pics, and I have to say it looks very good in blue and gray. I vote for more use of that.

Would most definitely like to see some blue get worked into the mix..

I have a blue Crane as a wip. Expect to see a Liebherr LTM 1090 4.1 from the company Sarens on my flickr some day :P

I really think there should be some purple construction equipment. I would also want orange, and yes orange is expensive, but it's available, and available enough to build an 8043 and a 42006. Purple on the other hand, doesn't have such a variety of parts, and it looks really cool. Maybe purple and orange, that would be a dream come true.

If they make a new truck in a few years, they could make it purple  maybe with yellow details. I think that would look awesome.

I haven't seen a fully white model in a while, white panels are very rare so I would love to see a white dump truck with blue features or something, and a dark grey chassis, Lego have a thing for making the chassis a different colour from the body...

I love the color scheme of the 8052 and wouldn't mind seeing more of that as well.

I'de like some more blue and/or white. Red would also be cool but we have a ton of red (well, most of us anyway  ). TBH (not trying to derail the thread here) I think the colour vomit issue is more distracting to me, as well as many parts coming in only one colour, such as the 5x7 and 5x11 frames only coming in grey and so on. I think that some vehicles will only ever come in yellow because it helps make the vehicles instantly and more easily recognisable to children as being heavy construction equipment.

Oh, I'd like to see them do a proper John Deere with lots of green  personally I prefer "normal" tractors with wheels, but that one ain't bad either.

I like tractors with wheels too but I love all tracked machines... The problem with wheels is that they aren´t large enough to make a tractor that has the features I want, as I always say machinery hasn´t got more room between axes. I am working on larger custom wheels but for now I am enjoying with this, look the size, of course I'll put my rubber tracks.

Now dark blue is back, i like to see that dark red is coming back

I forgot about dark red, that's a great idea! I have never seen dark red construction equipment, but that would be awesome.

Also sorry for the total OT, but I'll be off the forum for about 10 days, but I'll be back.

I think my vote goes to white too, with orange and then lime being very close runners up. I think white is a nice and undervalued color for Technic, would like to see a white excavator or loader something. :)

Also, why not reintroduce tan! :)

For some reason I don't like blue. Don't know why.

White would be nice. Perhaps i'm forgetting something but i don't think there has ever been a blue flagship or close to that size. A blue and white combo would look really nice.

If you like tan, you can get the $400 Sydney Opera House. It comes with tons of tan bricks. :D

There was the tow truck from 1998.

I think if you asked most kids (even kids old enough to be the core target audience for Technic sets) what color construction machines are, most of them would pick yellow.

No surprise, as the majority of construction machines seem to be yellow. And the most known manufacturers (to me) like Volvo, Caterpillar, JCB and Komatsu all use yellow as the primary color, combined with black.

Personally I see most yellow, from the mentioned brands. But I see orange machines much as well, like Hitachi excavators.

The 3rd most used color I've seen is white. Until a few years ago, there was a white Terex wheel excavator in my town, and there was a quite large white Terex mobile crane downtown a few years ago when our mall was expanded.

At the construction site there was also a smaller red mobile crane, but I don't remember the brand.

Nope. Space shuttle was 1996 :classic:

You are right. I saw it in a catalogue on peeron for 1998 so i figured it was released then. Didn't remember that it was released earlier.
