I have found that practically every single technic construction vehicle is yellow, and even some of the awe factor from the functionality is lost because of the color... You know, construction equipment isn't all yellow in real life. I would love to see a blue and white mobile crane or a purple excavator... I also often see sand green construction equipment and many other colors. So what do you think? What color do you think the next construction equipment set should be? Maybe orange..

I agree!

I would like to see some orange used and maybe even a nice gray.

Never seen grey construction equipment, it would be cool tho.

750ACE, I think that is the perfect idea! White is great and it would make Lego bring back chrome.

Technic Gearhead, that excavator is beautiful.

When researching Hans 10x4 dump truck and color options I went on the manufacturers website, I want to say GiNAF Trucks and seen some nice ones in white.

Hehehe... Thanks for the picture! Whose is that? Is it yours?

Why does it have the 42006 claw in the other pic?

Sorry for the confusion - they are two separate models, the 8043 in the first pic and the 42006 in the other.

I'm fine with yellow construction equipment, but I do think more orange would be nice. I also like the white construction equipment that Terex-Damag makes, so some white LEGO construction stuff would be neat.

Look at equipment made by Volvo, caterpillar and others for those in grey....and even takeushi make their mini excavators in light grey...

I think the construction equipment may be in yellow as the two manufacturers JCB and Caterpillar, as well as Komatsu for that matter produce their equipment in yellow in real life...

But I think some nice read and white like O&K or white like Bobcat would be nice :)

I don't mind yellow, but I have to agree that the number of sets in yellow is getting high. I think that for a few years now, they should start keeping yellow to a minimal and use other colors.

They could very well bring orange into a few bigger sets, 42008 to 8110 size, maybe combined with gray. Or dark blue and gray like in 8052, that's something I'd love to see more of.

Yeah, that's the "problem". I like yellow, but I think there's been too many yellow sets in the last years. Regarding construction machines, Volvo seem to use mainly yellow on their excavators, haulers and loaders. But there are others like Daewoo and Hitachi which use orange on their machines. And Terex use white on their mobile cranes and excavators. There's more options than simply using yellow on everything labeled "construction machines".

Happy to read about heavy machinery even for the color  . Color doesn´t let me do any machine like a john deere (green), hitachi (orange) or liebherr (white). Actually it's silly... for me the challenge is the mechanism but if I can´t put the original color... I have to say that I only use liftarms.

Projects waiting for colors...

Oh, I'd like to see them do a proper John Deere with lots of green  personally I prefer "normal" tractors with wheels, but that one ain't bad either.

I cycled by a new sewage pumping station construction site the other day. I think yellow led by a wide margin. There was one orange crane. I wouldn't mind more orange. I'm starting to like it after getting the Unimog.
