The Valix is a (space)ship out of my personal story. This is as close as I could get to it with my current Lego parts. I'm far from satisfied with the looks yet, so expect more versions of it sometime when I bought more Lego haha! XD Around the time I'm writing this I've already taken it apart again, but I'd like to show it anyway.

Here's a full view:

Some detail shots of the bridge and the engine core:

I also gave it two hatches in the front to hide the guns. You can slide them out with the help of a slider I made on the bottom.

Well not much else to say except thanks for looking!

If you have any critique's or suggestions I'd love to hear them, so the next Valix can become even better. I'm still a little new to Lego so any advice is welcome.

Wow. This ship is really sleek looking. Just the right balance between details and simplicity, too.

N'awww thanks a lot for the positive feedback! :classic:

I really like the shape. Perhaps you could add more than just plates on the underbelly. On that same note, maybe you could use some SNOT or tiles for the wings instead of the open studs you have here. Also, do you happen to have any sketches of this, maybe that way we can see more of your vision for a final model.

Ah unfortunately it's nothing like my final design yet haha ;w; I lack the proper colours and pieces. But I do have some (old) sketches, drawings and thingies I can show. I still have to draw a decent picture sometime.

In case it helps I also have a blueprint here:

Some other old pictures with a Valix in the background:

And an old 3D model test thingy here:

SNOT's sound like a good idea to try out! And I'd really like to try to give my next Lego Valix movable wings too, so I have to make sure I hide the open studs one way or the other so they're not in the way.

I really enjoy the fact that it looks like a stingray. Nice job.

Heh, yeah I hear that a lot ;w; A stingray or a moth. Thanks!

The "engine core" is very cool!

Your sketches are very interesting, I find the 6 panels on the bottom right to be very organic looking, almost like how a beetle opens it's exoskelton to unfold it's wings.

Great MOC!

Thanks a lot! I hope the next time I can make it so that the Lego model will actually be able to unfold it's wings like in my sketches. XD

Looks good, Sferath! Maybe you could try bringing the wings down at the edges, just by a little. The slope would make it pop right up!

Yeah it has a lot of imperfections that could need some editing xD I will keep it in mind for the next time I try to build it! Thank you!

Nice ship ...this MOC looks like a manta!

The livery is amazing and the picture of the engine core is very cool!

Thanks a lot!
