I really dont like the little circle of track in the mountain to be honest. It seems just too short to be useful for a little loco to run around. If the mountain track could connect to something I think it would look a lot better. Maybe the entire layout could have even 3 trains running at one time! All doing a specific job, like freight, passenger and something else!

I won't let there ride big (american) trains, only small engines with at maximum 3 wagons.So it isn't too small. And the two loops are connected through the bridge.

Update:

the plans are changed considerably:

There will be a loop on the backside of the layout and there will be more hight differences and even a train bridge crossing an other.

everything with baseplates underneath must be build new.

I've teamed up with another builder for a big convention in fall 2013 (LegoWord Utrecht) and he already has done the bit that will connect to my part. And building is what I'm doing it for not keeping it in a box or something like that. :classic:

BTW here are the plans (sorry only dutch available but Ive translated it on flickr)
