I've gotten a notification from Lego Technic Team:

"Confirmation

This is to confirm that we have now received your full name and address in order to ship you the LEGO Technic “You design it – we make it” winner model.

We will ship it to you during August 2013."

Awesome, a confirmation e-mail, I wish there was a close up, high resolution picture of those boxes, it looks like lots of interesting futures are displayed on them. My birthday is in August, this is going to remind me of being 10 years old again, hoping for an awesome lego set for my birthday, lol!

I wonder how fast these will sell out? I'm not one of the lucky 100 who will get one shipped to them for free and have a guaranteed copy. With no way to pre-order, that means I just have to get in line when they become available. As a collector with every Technic set, I find that I am somewhat concerned that I will not even be able to get one. It will be interesting to see just how popular they are. I guess the answer to that question will determine whether or not LEGO does such contests in the future.

My biggest concern is that some traders will buy all sets and sell them ( or the exclusive parts ) for ridiculous prizes.

I can almost guarantee that a large majority of the sets will be bought up by people who have no love for Technic and will only be purchasing them for future resell.

Glad to tell, I was there at monday 27. Meet designers, watch packing process. Very impressive! Nice to meet Jeppe, Markus, Niels and other designers here. The set is even more exclusive than i expected:) we spent 4 wonderful days in Billund. Now we together with my wife and 3years old son moved to cottage at the Baltic seashore. The box is opposite me on the table. I have 12 days Danish vacation left. It is enough to assemble 41999, make many photos in Danish outdoor and record videos. Then I am going to write review, may be in different languages (rus/eng), but that will be after my vacation. Hope to post review closer to 1st of july.

Leak was a surprise for me, and for designers team, as I understand. Anyways, set is awesome, I am really glad that I am here now.

P.s. photo cant show all the beauty and coolness of box, believe me. The box is also unique;)))

They should. We do not want the horders to snatch this set up and jack up prices into oblivion, do we?

Also, rm8 Billund is just a factory and an airport, please DO see some more of this wonderfull country! Come to Aarhus (my city, if you do feel free to pm me), Copenhagen or some of the beautifull small islands ..
