captainmib Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) Congratulations Grohl! I hope you will be able to put your specialism into practice by giving new lego sets C and D models! Btw Dluders, next time give a bit more background info in your start post. I seriously didn't understand what you were talking about... Edit: Woopsie, and by Dluders i mean Zblj (so used to topics started by D...) Edited November 1, 2012 by captainmib Quote
dikkie klijn Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Congrats , looking forward to the first official sets of Grohl's hand. Quote
Phoxtane Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Awesome! Good luck at your new job, Grohl! It says in the article that he likes racing cars and planes. I wonder if he had something to do with the new Formula racer kit that's coming out in 2013? Quote
Splat Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Congratulations Milan I've admired your work for a long time, and really look forward to seeing what you design next. Quote
z3_2drive Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 congratulations! hope you get to(or already have ) build some great TLG models! Quote
parda Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Congratulations and thanks in advance for the great upcoming technic sets Quote
grohl Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Thank you all guys. I have already spent 6 months in LEGO and I really enjoy my job but you will have to wait (quite long) to see my first official set. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Congratulations grohl Edited November 2, 2012 by legomuppet9 Quote
Lipko Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Thank you all guys. I have already spent 6 months in LEGO and I really enjoy my job but you will have to wait (quite long) to see my first official set. Congratulations! So are you allowed to post in this forum? Do you have to speak some Danish? Quote
GuiliuG Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Congratulations! So are you allowed to post in this forum? Do you have to speak some Danish? No, they speak english in the lego company ! Btw,it's a great new to hear that you are now a lego designer ! I hope you will design plenty of new very useful parts such as hoped by most of the lego technic fans ! Quote
DLuders Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 @ grohl: Is that your Lego Group ID Card mugshot? Quote
Gene Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Really nice to see great ideas and creative products evolved by new creator. Congrats to you Grohl! You really think out of the BOX! Quote
Lost_In_Noise Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Congrats Grohl! I'm looking forward to your first sets. Are you allowed to discuss building techniques or approaches to problems, or is that limited by your employer? Quote
grohl Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I think that as soon as I am not revealing any secret and internal information, it should be alright. I am definitely not forbidden to post on the forums. Honestly, checking Eurobricks and me coming form the AFOL community really helps to avoid the cheaters at the new Technic Challenge. David: No, I have a lot more boring picture on my ID. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Congrats Grohl! We hope to see your first set soon! Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 So you also take care of the challenge? Thats great, because there are just so many copycats etc... What matters most is that you enjoy what you are doing and its always nice to someone from close community in there, like a bridge between worlds Quote
Azzepa Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Congratulations! I've followed many of your creations, and which many I have been inspired by. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to your official sets! Quote
RohanBeckett Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I think the best outcome (for us!) of Grohl working for TLG, is that we might get some Technic sets that not only have a 'B' model, but a C, D, E, F, G, H, I J.......Z RB Quote
allanp Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Well Grohl, seeing as you are still allowed to post here i'll just get this out of the way. ---clears throat--- longer pneumatics. Thankyou I don't want you to get into any trouble by replying to me here or by personal message with "watch this space" or anything like that, was just putting it out there ya know . I am really happy for you but of course you realize that now comes the hard part, staying there. Your MOCs are some of the best around but now you have so much more time and recources (like the ability to design and make new parts) most of us AFOLs could only dream of, so now you're gonna have to take it to the next level of awesomeness. I wish you all the best of luck and if you ever get stumped for ideas, i'm sure we're all happy to help! Ha, i'm just really excited for you, it's like being a kid and another kid in the same school is becoming a movie star and we're all like "that lucky bastard!" Quote
