Other than that I read a lot and have been known to dabble in Lego building from time to time. these are great fighting sports! I started with wing chun/hapkido and later I went for the freefight, but I don't do any contests anymore I also like to read and as meditation I build with Lego Greetings Quote
brickmasterben11 Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Model Railway. Which is funny because I have one LEGO train compared to my HO collection. Quote
ColletArrow Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Also railway modelling, but in 'OO' as I am in the UK. (I have used many times a OO gauge model to work out proportions or shapes for a LEGO model, because I can turn it over and look at it from whatever angle I want, in hand.) Quote
olliewills Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 For me it's either... Drawing... Mostly with fineliners or alcohol markers. I'm no Picasso but I can make what I draw usually look at least vaguely 'real' Cleaning my car... I don't do shows or anything like that and it's just for me as a I love the process behind it. It works as a form of meditation for me as I can just turn my brain off and go through the steps. I can happily spend quite a bit of money on both of these things so adding Lego into the mix is probably not a smart plan! I'll just decide now that I won't get too into Lego, that should be fine right? Quote

DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted September 17 Posted September 17 (edited) Apart from MOCing with building bricks like those from LEGO, Cobi or GoBricks, I have a lot of other creative, non consumerist hobbies. For example, I paint wargaming miniatures to competion levels and have won a few prizes with them: I also print, convert, scratch-build and paint terrain to use in thematig games with those minis: What's more, I scratch-build and paint replicas of filming models, many with lights and/or moving parts. The Imperial II-class SD is based on a kit, heavily modified (re-built plus adding hundreds of scratch-built details to make it accurate to the filming model): My first larger completely scratch-built replica, a Lambda-class Imperial Shuttle: My largest scratch-build replica so far - an AT-AT with poseable legs, each of which has 4 poseable joints: Edited September 17 by DarthTwoShedsJackson Quote
