davidmull Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 That video above looks more like a plow lol is there different types of snow blowers? Cyp will u be making instructions for this? Quote
MMR1988 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yes there are many versions of snow blowers. Here are two examples: (Sorry, for this big picture.) best regards Martin Quote
Cypr-21 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Cyp will u be making instructions for this ? Yes, I'll made BI for this. Photo BI and LDD file. Before I'll made ejection nozzle. Be patient, I'm student, I don't build during lessons =) Quote
efferman Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 (edited) Call the CDC, it seems we have a snowplow epidemy there is only one hose at the lifting cylinder because i want avoid too much pressure between the ground and the shield. the weight of the shield is enough to let it float on the ground. davidmull Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Nice plow efferman well done,I really think the plow in orange is definatly the best colour ,I'm glad I bought the orange panels too :) I see there getting scarce on brick link too lol Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 With all those winter equipment, did anyone think of snow chains for the MOG? Quote
davidmull Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 With all those winter equipment, did anyone think of snow chains for the MOG? Chains would be cool but it would mean using non Lego parts ;( Quote
T_Tank Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 actually think its possible to do chains by using bb168 and 30104 to make the tire chains no clue how durable they would be but its possible i think. Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 This is something of a first attempt to make snow chains. Hopefully some of you will come up with a beatter idea. Quote
Drudoo Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 The problem with chains is that if they are too big like 30104 the wheels will just slide over the table :/ Think the rubber bands are a good thing. Quote
davidmull Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Well in real life rubber bands are no good in snow , them Lego chains might work if u had enough of them too. Quote
tripletschiee Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Call the CDC, it seems we have a snowplow epidemy Can you please make a picture from above. Then wen can see, if you are using two cylinders to move the shield sideways. Thanks! I like th colour! I do also have orange panels, but I did th upper row in black panels. I'll post a photo these days. Regards, Gerhard Quote

davidmull Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Just a quick idea from me, The drawback, the wheel doesn't fit on the unimog anymore. That's more like it,I like :) what centre cap are u using? Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 @ Dikkie Klijn: You've got PM with a solution! @ Efferman: Nice job! Quote
davidmull Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 nice snowchains btw, i have some moving pictures for you p.s. with a little outtake U need to motorise it now :) ur rear bed looks fairly long did u extend it,they seem fairly short on the real mogs, I like ur cab tilting too Quote
efferman Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 thanks guys the platform looks so long, because i have choosed the long wheelbase version. RC? sorry, but not on this mog Quote
dikkie klijn Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 That's more like it,I like :) what centre cap are u using? This one. Quote
Sokratesz Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I lost the link but someone posted awhile ago saying they had been able to order the unimog tyres from lego directly..how do you go about that? - Sok. Quote

RC? sorry, but not on this mog Ah it's a waste not to rc the unimog ,it's just asking for it,but it might be harder for u to do as u have gone so far off legos original design,it works very well as an rc even if u don't drive it that much, also have u considered getting the black wheels like some of us did, they look really well and more realistic too :) Quote
DLuders Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I lost the link but someone posted awhile ago saying they had been able to order the unimog tyres from lego directly..how do you go about that? Here is the post about buying the Unimog tires from Lego Direct (Lego Customer Service). I'd try to get the other new parts too: Quote

Theme RC: i said not on this mog but there is maybe a U500 with maximum trackwidth option (it fits better to the tires) in the pipeline. this can i build 25 studs wide and the chassis like the original one, with a five link (four links+ panhard rod) suspension. p.s. hard to make pics from a black hole Edited September 22, 2011 by efferman Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 you can put one or two of these over the 6x6 dish! And so you got your holes. Barman(76) did a version of the rims like this on his blue cabine Unimog! Quote
