Thanks I'm really happy with it and the orange suits it so well :) next mod is to build the gritter for the rear :) Quote
allanp Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 That orange plough looks freakin amazing, it matches it so perfectly I think I might pay the money to get those panels and build it myself. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) David are you making instructions? Edited September 16, 2011 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
aposaric Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Hy folks :-) Great thread you have around here :-) I recently joined the forum, I had a Technic break for last couple of years, so I bough a couple new technic sets, some motors, lights, excavators, trucks, and finally yesterday the MOG :-) This sucker is huuuge. It took me 7-8 hours of pure work to build this monster, I saw it on pictures, but in real life it is giant. I browsed all 21 pages of this thread, and I saw there is no working mower, so I constructed working a grass cutter, powered by the front power output. I bought a lot of used bionicle sets ( dirt cheap :-) ), because I liked the special parts compatible with technic, so I used the blades from the bionicle, and fixed them to the contraption that goes left and right ( I don't know the word in english :-) ) I created from my head. Here are couple of pictures, I don't have the video yet, but my girlfriend is scared, and that is a good sign :-) ( I don't really want to tell her how much money I am spending on this sets, she would think that I am not normal, so I just tell her that it is in scientific purposes Cheers, andrija Quote
davidmull Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 David are you making instructions? Instructions for what? Quote
efferman Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) it seems my modifications was going more extreme than i thought the left is the original 8110 without modifications. looks like different scales, but it is the same trackwidth. Edited September 17, 2011 by efferman Quote

efferman Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 please describe why. your opinion is interesting me. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 The original looks more like a unimog :( I thinks its the orange curves/slopes and how you used them. Quote
davidmull Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 please describe why. your opinion is interesting me. I just think its going off the unimog, look at a real u400 and u will see why legos design is so close to it,just my opinion that's all :) Quote
DLuders Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Actually, I think efferman's Unimog U400 is quite close to the real thing, when comparing the pictures side-by-side: Quote
Nazgarot Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Actually, I think efferman's Unimog U400 is quite close to the real thing, when comparing the pictures side-by-side: I would have to agree. And I really like some of the mods you are putting on it, Efferman. Just to bad I can't stand the U400... It's a 1650 pr 2100 for me as soon as I can find time. There will be one original however to show off some equipment mocs. My three way tipable bed and mid mounted telescopic crane is coming along nicely. -ED- Quote

But the Cab and its mudguards are to narrow, the platform is more narrow than the rear mudguards. And the rear mudguards are not at the same width like the tires. please compare the original 8110 with my first modifications there are not much parts needed to let it look much better and not so "bigfoot" like. with my own version iam going only a few steps more ahead to fit the other cab dimensions and get enough space for the vario pilot mode. thanks DLuders and Nazgarot edit some pics click the pics for bigger ones Edited September 18, 2011 by efferman Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Excellelent improvements! Would like to see some new equipment now! But that would only be a matter of time now, with the Mog itself to this finished stage! Quote

Thanks guys and of course, there are some attachments in the pipeline. it is only hard to decide which one first Quote
Cypr-21 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Inspired by tripletschiee one, I designed my own snow blower. It uses front PPTO to go up or down, and front PTO to run the blower. If you want, I can make photos buiding instructions during the week Quote

gt1750 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 efferman, your Unimog is amazing! I love how detailed and realistic it looks. IMHO it's much better than the original Quote
efferman Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 thank you very much iam only hoping that no one wants a instruction. i dont want disassemble it to make the instruction, and LDD is nothing for me. Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 For the snow blower there is still need of an ejection nozzle! Quote
