Here is what they looked like (guy from 2021, girl from 2022):

The guy overall is a pretty good upgrade (much better face, legs, and guitar, though the old hat has printing). You could argue either way for the girl, but I like the outfit and gold facial highlights on the new one more.

Yeah so I think that’s where it all comes down to what figures float your boat. I’d rather have lots of variants of those than, say, another surfer or gamer

Oh. yes, I'd forgotten about the plain guitars. I replaced mine with the white/silver ones, so didn't think the difference was as big. The face is definitely a lot better, agreed.

Absolutely. These are definitely the best of the set, and probably the only ones I'll get. My disappointment comes more from all the other, pretty dull figures.

So I'll be choosing some other accessory for the female Dia de los Muertos fig.  I've plenty of that flower piece so not going to waste a BAM spot in the box on that particular piece.  I want the two Dia de los Muertos figs, the Scouting guy and various parts from some of the other figs.

This minifig actually looks less of a ghost and more of a character in a black-and-white classic.

Maybe someone could make a vignette with her, Inspector Red Herring, and Mime in it? LOL

Anyways, I love new wtich’s hat from Sanderson Cottage set but I never bought that set. I’m glad it showed up in BAM along with that black cat! Lady in White should have a white hairpiece for sure! A hood is, ehhhh, not exactly ghosty just like Fairground subtheme’s Haunted House.

Was at my best BAM event ever on Thursday on AFOL day in the Lego house. They had all the new parts in addition to several boksen full of nice parts like one box with animals, one with Shields etc . And you could pay per part and pick what you like

The thing is that in this case neither mold is IP locked—the witch hat also appeared in the Dungeons and Dragons CMF which, while also licensed, means that it's a "generic" mold instead of being restricted to any one license. And of course the cat is quite generic, with the mold being used widely elsewhere and the color/print not having any character-specific features.

I was hoping the Christmas tree costume from the City Advent calendar would be included.

Gold Santa's fun—that beard could be really useful on other custom figures (there's been a variety of good gold minifig parts in the past for various sorts of statuary and such). Though I'd still love to have a gold head piece with a plain classic smiley, which'd be great in combination with the gold classic space uniform from the vending machine as a commemorative statue for a space build.

Here's how to make these ghastly ghosts if you're interested in getting your own:

Female ghost
2025 October build-a-fig Ghost lady + light gray 64807 (Minifigure Hair Female Short, Braided on Sides, Hole on Top)

Male Ghost
Mr. Knight from Marvel CMF S2 (minus head) + head of Film Noir Detective from CMF S25 + light gray 38800 (Minifigure, Hair Bowl Cut Parted in Center)

@Murdoch17Your ghostly couple looks great. Fun fact: From Marvel CMF S2 I only bought Moon Knight because it's a phantastic minifigure. But I didn't buy his alter ego Mr. Knight because I thought that he's a bit boring ... well, you proved me wrong.

I appreciate Lego for making different 'versions' of the same set of Christmas characters. But I also often long for more variation. Something like Father Christmas and wearing a different hat, etc. Would be fun collecting those minifigs.

Looking forward to picking up those Christmas minifigs. That gold Santa would make an excellent statue outside a Santa training college. I've collected so many Santa figures over the years, that's the only thing I can think of to use them all in!
