I put white legs and faceless heads for the unidentified pieces. Note that the potential identification of the 2019 Q1 hiker legs with https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=970c00pb0536#T=S&C=2&O={"color":2,"ss":"FR","iconly":0} makes it my favorite minifigure of that quarter. Lion King Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I have been wonder if we would get some DreamZzz characters in waking attires before the theme gets discotinued. However, since the theme is about to be discontinued and BAM has a purpose for promotional for in-house themes, i can’t say how likely we will get a few characters like Logan and Astrid in waking attires. ;/ Quote

The torso print of the steampunk balloon pilot has some identical details as the torso print of the steampunk inventor from CMF S27: the gauge on the left shoulder and the airtank on the back (balloon pilot) or the chest (inventor) are the same. R0Sch Posted Monday at 06:25 AM Posted Monday at 06:25 AM Since when is it not allowed to buy additional individual figure pieces at LEGO Stores to fill up to 3/6 sets? Or is this one of those unwritten rules that every Store manager handles differently? I get that army builders and resellers made use of just buying up all exclusive printed parts and accessories and they want to forbid misuse like that, but putting a few spare heads and legs in to get a bit of discount doesn't hurt a fly. Also not getting a GWP because of being 1 Cent short on minimum threshold seems total BS, don't you think? Have you had similar experience in the last 2-3 years when buying BaM? Quote

Sounds a bit frustrating, but I dunno, I guess that all seems like rules-as-written to me. All the signage around BAM shows a complete minifig broken down, so in cases where staff have allowed people to fill up on any parts, that seems like them using their discretion. Different parts cost different amounts to produce, which is priced into the whole minifig, but if you're buying just torsos or legs then that really cuts the margin. As for the GWP, again no surprise: it's a minimum threshold, so the whole point is to get you to pay more than that number, not less. Could always just add 1 more figure on. Heck, put it this way: you're on here posting about the customer experience, and had they made exceptions for you, your post about that might encourage more people to chance it. And you can argue that's still good for business, because hey, they're spending money, but in practise a big priority for staff is minimising confrontations, so they don't want people making a habit of it. Bad luck though! Quote
RichardGoring Posted Monday at 02:15 PM Posted Monday at 02:15 PM I've noticed that in the US they generally allow you to have 15 pieces of any type. They sometimes limit that practice for newly released figures, but once they've been out for a while, there's no restrictions. Although the only thing I've ever really gone to town on (more than eight of anything) have been candy canes, rubber duckies, and butterflies, all of which I wanted to custom bonsai trees. In the UK though, it's a strict three figures and sets of accessories. No deviating from the formula. I've this in several stores, so assume it's consistent. Quote

Well, in the end the limit is Set and while sure it would be nice to say, hey its just one cent you get it anyways, but I don´t think the store actually has any influence on that. In the end when you get it for pne cent less the next one will just miss it for one cent again - and like already mentioned above it should be really easy to find a figure or something else to reach the threshold. 2 hours ago, RichardGoring said: In the UK though, it's a strict three figures and sets of accessories. As far as I am aware, that is how it is supposed to be, but of course there can be stores that just decide to not be so strict on it. Quote
R0Sch Posted Monday at 06:19 PM Posted Monday at 06:19 PM Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind next time, just wanted to hear if it is really enforced everywhere or if some Stores keep it chill to not make a big fuss, especially on a super busy Saturday at May the 4th event when cash flow is not an issue. In the end it's their loss in sales, because I sure will be spending less on LEGO in the future, not more. I'm already down to just visiting the Store if new BaM figures release and/or a M&T takes place and lego.com purchases kept to a bare minimum when an interesting GWP is released. The rest I can just buy retail with at least 40% off. Quote

I think it may be up to the individual manager, but the rule I’ve heard most often at my local store is “any 15 parts, but no more than 3 copies of the same part.” So they’d allow you to, say, swap out an accessory for an extra hair if you don’t like the accessory options, but not get five copies per box of some exclusive, in-demand torso print. It’s struck me as a good medium between fighting scalpers and supporting customers. Quote

I've had eight of the same torsos and eight sheilds before, but across two (maybe three boxes), and a month or two after release, so less demand. I've just been into a store today and picked up a few of the newer parts. Mostly some of the torsos, but also four of the silver firefighter helmets. No issues (in the US). Quote
Josh06 Posted yesterday at 06:49 AM Posted yesterday at 06:49 AM (edited) I just got the 3 new bam figures at the Lego store today and can see the resemblance of the steampunk balloon guy to the new Monster fighter figure of series 29 and the steampunk guy from series 27, is the figure on the tile of the Monster fighter from series 29 a bam figure from the past? I know I recognize the figure but just can't place it.....maybe twn530 or vid045 any guess? Edited yesterday at 07:59 AM by Josh06 Quote
