bord4kop Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) I am trying, so please be gentle My two year old son, likes trucks and tractors very much. So I figured I might give it a try and build a little and simple one. So here goes, my first MOC. It 's just small, simple nothing special really: But once finished. I was not satisfied and started to think how to improve it. As it always goes I imagine, or doesn 't it? Well, today I build this one. A little more advanced. But still far from rocket science, mind you. It has front 'suspension' (not really, but you catch my drift) and an utensil axle working 'pto' at the back. I am planning to build more advanced and better things, but one got to start somewhere Edited December 8, 2010 by bord4kop Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 very good and simple they call the linkage at the back a 'pto' (power take off) i like the first design of the cab better maybe you can sort of join the in the middle Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I think these are funny little MOC's. With funny I don't mean anything bad, they just look so sweet...I like them a lot... Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 The first one is really cute with that cab and the front lights! Quote
bord4kop Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 Thank you all I was reluctant at first to post em, considering the stuff exhibited here. Well now I must continue, and I will , my next one will contain more real technic design I promise Quote
Crtlego Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Very cool! I really liked how you used the liftarms as part of the frame. Their shape is perfect for those wheels.. Quote
bord4kop Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 A simple 'Fun Car Buggy thingy' Has 2M motors for driving and steering V4 Engine (working) Back suspension Front lights PF remote control (see last Photo) And when powered.. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 (edited) Any chance of a video? It looks good. Edited May 9, 2011 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
bord4kop Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks all for the gentle remarks. A vid is not possible alas, as the thing is taken apart already I 'm sorry.. If my next one succeeds and is functional the way I like, I promise I will try and make something viewable Quote
bord4kop Posted May 25, 2011 Author Posted May 25, 2011 And my Baja Bug is finished. This next MOC is a bit more advanced. I am not totally satisfied, but it was a fun and informative experience It drives not that well, due to the ´new´ differential I guess. One car hear the gears creak Features Fully independent suspension Working Flat 4 engine 3/speed gearbox (not driven unfortunately :omg: ) PF remote controlled PF lights, with switch detailing.. deeplinks As seen from above: The Original (inspiration) Movie on YouTube, bad quality alas Quote
olaf9198 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 it is not bad quality. and the vw buggy is cool Quote
antsiranean Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Question from newbie: I know what an MOC is, but what does the abbreviation actually mean? Probably not Militare Ordine del Collare, right? Quote
Badger Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Question from newbie: I know what an MOC is, but what does the abbreviation actually mean? Probably not Militare Ordine del Collare, right? MOC mean's my own creation , I love the vdub and the funny car , they are really detailed :) keep up the good work ! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Video is fine not sure about the gears though , you are geting heavy backlash if you can tell use what your setup is, one of us here on the forum might be able to help you change the drive. Quote

Thanks! The diff is a new style one driven by a Gear 20 Tooth Double Bevel. On the other side (trough an standard Technic beam is also a 20 tooth Gear which itself drives an 12 tooth gear which connects some Technic, Gear 16 Tooth with Clutch. The gearbox itself is pretty standard. 20 to 12 gears and 16 tooth to 12 and 16 to 16 gears. The slack is on the 20 tooth beveled gear on the diff as far as I can tell.. Here 's a pic from beneath, although one cannot see it very clearly And from above: Edited May 27, 2011 by bord4kop Quote
bord4kop Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 So finally, after quite some failed attempts, here is my latest MOC It 's the MonsterMOG! Or a Monster truck-ish Unimog, build for the 2011 September Technic Challenge. Features PF drive (XL Motor), return-to-center steering (medium motor), fully independent suspension, scissor doors (though the door handle stays put), adjustable seats and PF lights. I think it looks pretty good and I am quite satisfied with it. Building studless finally worked quite well Quote
